Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*

It's really obnoxious. Will never understand opposing fans posting on other forums -
I have Spectrum cable. When I flipped it over from the SU game, at 2 minutes left in the half, the announcers were blathering away. Just like they never left.

WR/KR Mecole Hardman Placed on IR

If you look at rate of fumble/return it looks much worse. Not to mention you'd think being brand new first start, hed be dialed in on his best behavior. I dont even disagree with rolling with him, high risk/high reward in return game, but thats the position were in. We need that explosive return upside on kicks. Also, think he could open field up for everyone else, even if its a miss on a deep ball attempt. That one in his one game was clooooose Should be. Didn't think I could hate anyone more than fat Benjamin, yet here we are -
Keep at it! It’s never too late!!!

Take it easy, someone’s grandpa learned how to use the internet today. -
These patriots fans on here are insufferable. Go post on your own boards, I dont need to come to the Bills game week thread to see your silly predictions and trash talk.

But do we all realize that the CDC's definition of a vaccine got changed significantly in September 2021? And that the Covid "vaccine" wouldn't have been considered an actual vaccine using the definition that had been in place prior to that. There's a reason they used to, for like 40 years, call the flu vaccine the "flu shot." It wasn't considered to be a vaccine prior to September 2021 either. Not saying that either doesn't have a population that will benefit by taking them. There obviously are large segments of the population that should get them. But, neither is a true vaccine and words do and should matter.

They violate the most important thing in football, looking cool.

the art of the deal........used car salesman edition
Augie replied to Sweats's topic in Off the Wall
This is roughly why I use my personal shopper when it’s absolutely necessary to get a car. She enjoys the game as much as I detest it. I pulled up in the lot one time and before both feet got out of the car and hit the pavement a guy says “so is this the one you’re trading in?” We did not stay, I don’t tolerate BS well. She does her homework with a cousin who is at the auctions and she has other resources. She’s not shy about getting up and leaving a dealership. Not in a huff, but just as part of getting what she wants. She gets a few dealers competing in the search and sees who comes thru. She wanted to replace my car/dog taxi but I shot that down. I like my dings and scratches and fur. I’d have to worry about a new car, when this one is perfectly broken in! -

Easy peasy. NE will get 30 and force the Bills to punt here and there and it's game over. Probably don't even need to tune in since it's already been decided. -
If there was a drawback to Mark Kelso on the radio broadcasts, it was the amount of information that he would shoehorn in after every play. Good work on his part, just too much of it. It might have been due to Murphy's lack of detail on the play that had just occurred.

Honestly I think Brady had that game right not running cook too much…the ne linebackers are just run stuffers and they’re vulnerable to TEs in the passing game/josh scrambles. Really isn’t a good matchup for NE imo but if the bills go -2 in turnover differential again they can certainly lose. If they don’t the bills win this one pretty comfortably that pats fan poster was like ‘oh we will simply stop the running game and Kincaid’ but what makes them good at slowing down the run hurts them at stopping the bills tight ends. Really don’t think they’ll be able to do both especially with the injuries and they really didn’t even stop both last time…Kincaid was over 100 yards receiving and Josh ripped off some big runs -
No announcers in Army/Navy game

What station are you on? Sometime when I switch to a 4k channel on satellite I’ll get no announcers but everyone else has them -
Yes, and every play does not need to be analyzed or broken down. We don't need to know the details of a three yard run on 2nd down.

The unvaxed numbers were always around 5% in our country until about 2020, since then it has raised to 7%. If you think that 40% increase is the primary reason responsible for a 1400% increase in cases then we can't have a reasonable discussion. A few facts according to the CDC Data from a 2017 study notes that in the U.S., about 38% of imported cases were foreign visitors, while 62% were U.S. residents returning from travel abroad. I will make one other point to you because I made an effort to find the story in 1983 the US had 97% of counties have 0 cases but one county in FL had 93 cases in the first half of the year centered around a migrant camp. If you don't recognize the primary issue as immigration of non immunized people then I can't help you. Truly your argument is now based entirely on "trust me bro" https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00000139.htm -
Announcers just need to “let the game breathe” as I like to call it. Allow the game to come to you (the commentator), don’t force words just to fill empty space. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of silence during a broadcast. But these guys are apparently instructed to babble on incessantly, because they ALL do it. Not to mention the inane useless sideline reporter coach interviews at halftime or post game. The situation with Justin Herbert after the Monday night football game the other night with Laura Rutledge. It’s a perfect example that these guys don’t care to do these pointless interviews immediately after a game. And they also aren’t interesting or educational to the fans. It’s the same unnecessary question with the milqtoast response from the athlete.

The guardian caps are optional for players to wear during the season. In preseason and practices the oline and dline are required to wear them, plus running backs and tight ends, I think. Many players will wear them for awhile coming off a concussion. I think they should make it mandatory for a player to wear them for two or three weeks after they come back from a concussion, if not the entire rest of the season. Players think they look dumb, so they don't like them.

Announcers have gotten terrible. Maybe i’m in the minority, but i hate when Tony Romo does all of our Chiefs games. Better than Collinsworth I guess? But i think the NFL said something to Romo because he’s not as great as he was his first couple years. He’s just a caricature of himself now. Oh how i miss John Madden
