A lot of trades today -
I'd take Davis as the 3rd or 4th guy on the outside over guys we've had in the past like Sherfield or Deonte Harty. I don't mind Samuel but the guy is never on the field so if Davis is healthy coming in when option 1, 2, and 3 are not available you could do a lot worse. I also think the way we run the offense now takes the pressure Allen to force passes outside and that's good for everyone as well.

UPDATE: Chargers-Chiefs Brazil announcers have been updated! Pre/post game and LA host names are also in for that exclusive game

Beane used to invest significantly in WR but basically stopped since the Diggs trade. I think there’s an argument he felt burned by having a star #1 WR.

He is worth like 15 billion dollars or something. He doesn’t need money. He needs his ego fed 24x7 at all costs. Parsons is the same way. when they sign his contract this weekend they will both be laughing about all this.

a title would make him so much more money but he doesn’t realize that I guess

Kyle Williams replacement -
I think JJ ends up paying him like he has the rest of his star players. He always drags out negotiations and ends up paying more than he could have if he had just paid them sooner. It’s like an annual Dallas tradition at this point. lol After hearing Jones talk at his Netflix premiere, everything he does truly is just all about creating storylines to keep the cowboys name in the news cycle. (listen to the whole 59 second clip. It’s a more detailed answer than the Twitter quote) his contract negotiating strategy never made sense to me until this interview. I could never think of a logical reason why he always seemed to wait for other star players to set the market even higher. But now I think he views the headlines a contract dispute creates as being worth more than saving cap space (by getting a deal done sooner) to use on depth players.

What on earth are the saints doing? That fourth round pick could be like 10 spots outside of the third round at the top of the day on Saturday morning. and then how did Denver get them to throw in a 7th rounder also? good lord. -

Lets us hope they know , and have more faith , than we fans do. and you might well be correct about bringing in real starting competition. Too late Perhaps this is every seasons emotion. Critical thinking period lol But Defense was the issue with finishing out the post season with Wins , imho. And remains my worry as a whole , honestly -

The problem with Rosseau, is that he is an ideal DE2. I also still can't shake the image of him getting ragdolled by a mediocre Chiefs oline. -

I’m stuck on Rousseau still becoming a thing at DE and I think the idea should be to pair him with an elite guy, not replace him with one. I’m certainly not sending out Rousseau plus a 1st for Hendrickson. -

If the Saints cut Mason Tipton, I hope the Bills add him. -
He impacts the game a ton. If you don't pay enough attention to him, like other elite pass rusher, he'll wreck your gameplan. Ask Philly how they feel about him. They would be ecstatic to get him out of the division.

Story by Jarrett Bailey Buffalo Bills get compensation update on potential Trey Hendrickson trade Aug 18, 2025, 7:16 AM PDT Buffalo Bills get compensation update on potential Trey Hendrickson trade originally appeared on The Sporting News The Cincinnati Bengals have been in a months-long standoff with star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson. The 2024 sack king has made it clear he isn't playing on the final year of his contract, and wants a long-term deal with more guaranteed money. And while the Buffalo Bills signed Joey Bosa to a one-year deal and recently extended Greg Rousseau, this is a move they should be all over. It was reported on Sunday that the Bengals were now listening to trade offers for Hendrickson, and now they expected trade compensation has been revealed. "Teams that have recently inquired about Bengals star Trey Hendrickson were told Cincinnati’s asking price included a young defensive player and a 2026 first-round pick, according to league sources," Dianna Russini reports. "The player heading back does not have to be a pass rusher." Considering the Bills' lack of success at the top of the draft over the last five years, trading a first-round pick shouldn't worry Brandon Beane or Bills fans - especially when you're in win-now mode like the Bills are. Send the pick, as well as any defender the Bengals want not named Christian Benford or Terrel Bernard and call it a day. -

I agree in theory to most of your post points, but DE's tend to play into a deeper age at high levels, more than maybe any position. Could be because they are 'hardier' boys by nature -
