I have been scattering these in various threads. I am just going to make a thread for them and add as I go. Here is the bishop play where he (They) gave up the Touchdown Bishop covering Odunze in the slot Moore getting open on a crosser on 3rd down but ball goes to hawes. Moore getting open again on an arrow route but the ball is tipped. Hancock seeing the run and making the tackle for a loss Hancock making a play on the back in the crowd inside the 5 Dwayne Carter, Dorian Wiliams and Hoecht blowing up a screen (i forgot to remove the audio here, was listening to sal) Strong and Hancock appear to communicate before the play but then one of them makes a mistake here and doesn't pick up the underneath crossing route. Coach Addae is immediately yelling at one of them.

It seemed everyone on D had an awful play vs KC, top to bottom. He did lead the team in tackles (a misleading stat, I know) that game and was in position for the INT (which wouldn't have mattered because there was a defensive penalty anyway). He started 4 games: Houston and then three of the four final games (Detroit, the first NE game, and the second Jets game). He did not start in the garbage-time finale vs NE but played a fair bit. He didn't play at all against Denver in the playoffs but played 66 percent of the snaps vs. Baltimore after Rapp went down. He started vs. KC. All I'm saying is that rookie safeties in this system have a lot to handle. Give him a little time.

If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...

Yes. I’m not a fan of Hamlin but it is definitely overreaction Monday around here after a meaningless preseason game -
McDermott gets a lot of motivational mileage out of losses like this. Being a preseason game is very good, as opposed to a regular season drubbing. Some people here blow off this loss as meaningless preseason nonsense. But McDermott is seething mad and disappointed in some aspects of his team. He was holding back in his presser after the game but you could feel it.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?

I have a feeling that they won't run one defensive alignment during the season that they ran last night. -

QB, mostly. Obviously there's more to it- But if you put the cheat code known as Josh Allen on any Doug Whaley team, chances are there's a reversal of fortunes. -
Yea I don't know where the "not tough" stuff comes from.

Hamlin is just plain terrible. He is so slow it's a joke. He might be the worst safety in the league and other teams know it. Bishop had better improve drastically because right now he's looking like another Beane draft mistake. Big balls Beane better find a couple of qualified safeties or this defense will struggle mightily again this year. -

When the best thing you can say about a player is “he is familiar with the system”, you are in trouble. Hamlin and Bishop come to mind. -

Bad news - I will be in attendance and they have a shockingly bad record when I attend in person. FYI - I can be bought. -

Gosh, this is so overplayed. They hang tough more often than not - the guy has a .650-win percentage for ***** sake.

He had an awful mistake in the first half of the AFCCG that gave up a chunk play (think to JuJu) and there was one in one of those last 4 or 5 games as well..... maybe it was New England and didn't matter. Can't recall off top of my head.

Dart has looked good but its preseason. Remember Nate Peterman also looked good in preseason and then we saw what he looked like in a real game. I am not saying Dart won't be a good QB in the future. Let's see him do it in a regular season game against the other team's starting defense who will actually be game planning for him. It doesn't matter anyway as Wilson will be the starting QB for them. -
Bingo! MAGA: DEI is an abomination. If minority kids can't compete in the fields the 21st century economy values, well, too bad. I guess they just have to change or adapt to the times. But if white boys are failing or lacking interest in those same fields (say, health care-related "women's jobs"), well, that's a crisis. We need to create manufacturing jobs for them so they'll feel valued; who cares whether that would be economically inefficient. They have to feel valued! Don't make them change or adapt to the times. It's their feelings, dammit! Republicans used to call this "the soft bigotry of low expectations." Those were different times.

4 days since the surgery on my right eye. Left eye was done about a month ago. The right eye unless it improves did not go as well. Fairly significant difference in vision between the 2 eyes. Also felt pain during the procedure on the right eye I did not feel on the left. So right now I'm a little disappointed in the outcome. The cataract in my right eye was not noticeable yet.

Personally I'm not even sure if I'm in the "he's a solid backup player" like so many people seem to be saying. Can he play the position if a starter gets hurt? Uh, technically I guess? Will I have any faith whatsoever in his performance in place of whoever the starter was? Absolutely not.
