And please no more running into the LOS 3X and punt. Less behind the LOS passing would be nice as well

The people of Chicago should be embarrassed to have this clown represent them. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/chicago-mayor-blames-gun-problem-on-red-states/ss-AA1Mczv7?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=68c0626e1c1e4c97b49047c06a358b09&ei=16

Josh's pass to Palmer that (more or less) won the game

The weird thing is, for whatever reason, that throw isn't shown in the highlights from nfl.com -

The field level view of that pass from behind Josh showed what a perfect pass that was... the accuracy to put that in the window over the Ravens guy, into that tight space to Palmer was phenomenal. MVP throw. -
Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)

Rasul Dougless played in the first game after we acquired him. -
If no end of 1st half FG, they almost certainly would have left more time on the clock for Bal, if we go ahead and assume they get the TD there-(can't sit on the ball in that situation). Who knows if our D would've been able to come up with another stop? So yes, great clock management and execution by our ST (with a new coach-hopefully a harbinger of more good things to come from ST/ (except for almost getting blocked!, execution of game ending FG was almost perfect as well)) was really important there). (Sorry for all of the parenthetical clauses.)

Start really bad, so the only way to go is up! I like it!

Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)
KOKBILLS replied to Herc11's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not going to say that Peppers could have solved all our problems at S because we're already in Week 2 and it kinda is what it is at this point. But I do think having a player of his caliber available at this time and letting him get away to another AFC team was a missed opportunity... I am supremely confident he would be an upgrade to Hamlin. I am moderately confident he would be an upgrade to Rapp by the 2nd half of the season. I'm actually holding out hope that Bishop improves with time on task... I think S is a huge issue... I thought, based on the fact that we are already into the season, having a player like Peppers become available was much more than could logically be expected most years...But who knows... Maybe he's dropped off significantly since his 2023 form. We'll see... -
Hopkins had his arm fully extended pushing Benford away on his one handed TD catch. I don't mind them letting DBs play a bit. Missing a textbook OPI is the one call that frustrated me. You can kind of see it here if you slow it down 3 seconds in but it's even more clear on the all 22:

Everyone keeps watching Henry runs to see what went wrong, but I would like to take a look at a positive. I know a lot less than a lot of posters here about the x's and o's of football, but I invested in NFL+ Premium to watch all-22 film to see if I can learn a bit more. I just keep watching the pass to Palmer that put the Bills into FG range from both angles to see what I can get out of it. At the time, the Ravens were playing prevent with 4 CBs and 2 Safeties. The Bills put a lot of mess in the middle of the field to draw the LBs, two of the CBs, and Starks the FS away from the action part of the play. Knox has gone in motion so he was on the same side of the field as Palmer. What happened after the snap is that Knox and Palmer ran what I think is called a high-low concept where they were stacked about 5 yards away from each other (with Knox short). What Josh did was to pump fake to Knox, drawing CB Awuzie up and getting Jaire Alexander to turn his hips. Then Palmer went deeper and got in between the off-balance Alexander and Hamilton who was playing deep and had 5 yards of open field between them. That pump fake really made the play work. Palmer also ran one heck of a route. Tell me if I'm completely wrong on all of this.

I don't know. But they are working in some new pieces and opened up against the worst matchup they will face all regular season. I'm bullish on the unit getting better and better. I think the Bills may have led the league in fumble recoveries last season and were pretty high in INT's including 3 TDs. That's the secret sauce for this D. Not sure if Babich can will that to happen again or if it's just luck. We shall see....but they did force the big Henry fumble which gave us a chance for victory.

Agreed. A penance needs to be paid for those who lost faith. $17 from every fav who left early. -

Even though you are fiercely independent, you declared Kamala to be an ok candidate in your election post-mortem and you stood tall for The Big Guy post-debate. The only other person alive doing that was Dr Jill. Now you are throwing them both under the bus. Sad! You suck as a political observer. Or perhaps you’re just a hyper-partisan. Either way… -

Pretty sure no one left because they didn't have faith in Josh, they left because they rightfully had no faith in a defense that let Henry run through them at will. Now unless Josh wants to suit up as a safety as well (surely even that would be an upgrade) and take even more of a load on than he already has on his shoulders it had nothing to do with a lack of faith on the offense. -

Yes keep mentioning j6. It's going great. MOAR!!!! How far was Biden past his date before he was removed by your party? -
As tough as the Ravens game was, it might be a good prep for the Jets. Fields is a good runner but not quite Jackson, Hall and Allen are good but not Henry level. Their OL ain't the Ravens IMO. If the Bills defense can get the Jets to 3rd and long and then not surrender long runs by Fields, we should be ok. I think our offense will be fine against almost any team, including the Jets.

The reality is even had we signed peppers, it would have taken months to integrate Him. This team doesn’t do a great job of integrating guys on the fly like this. -
It’s the worthy trade clouding judgement…with worthy out for awhile Keon is gonna have a chance to catch him in games played and will likely pass him statistically once their games played even out. And that’s even with Keon falling off pretty hard post injury. From the nfl analyst narrative about that trade though you’d never know Keon has been putting up numbers when healthy lol he’s actually been more of a big splash play type player than even worthy has ironically enough…his yards per reception numbers are very high... has to be one of the most ‘twisting the narrative for a good storyline’ type things I’ve witnessed…not trying to say one guy is better than the other but they’re both gonna be good at what they do They must’ve picked him for the obligatory ‘we must call one penalty on the dbs to keep them somewhat honest’ because they knew he was too nice to complain lol

He was a real escape artist in the pocket, too. I don't know how he was able to navigate some of those pockets and get out of pressure. He just has a sixth sense of where to go, sometimes. He is so hard to sack. Jackson as well, but they do it differently.
