  1. Past hour
  2. Weird. I don't remember that. I do remember him starting and then getting pulled a couple times to have Fitz try and win the game for them. I remember at the time thinking the coach was terrible for doing that. Play the guy or play the other guy. QB carousels never work.
  3. Is the dysfunction in Miami, because it's the 1st couple of weeks of the season? I think that's a small part of it. I think they let some talent go and back filled with lesser talent. I think their OLine is a mess. I think they need to adjust to how defenses are playing them. Every defense is disrupting their quick timed passing game. They don't know who they are defensively. They are struggling to get in a rhythm offensively. And perhaps the worst thing for them is a lack of leadership. I just don't foresee a way for them to put up much of a fight. It's not often that I am confident in a Bills win, but this is one of them. Miami may come out playing like their hair is on fire. I just don't think it will matter. Bills win. Probably by a lot.

  5. I think Brady's balanced offense allows for a larger margin for error. As Dan Orlovsky says, this offense can do whatever it wants. We can run, throw short, throw downfield... Whatever the D is determined to stop, we can do something else. But only to an extent. Because you're right that the receivers do sometimes struggle to get open, and when that happens, we rely on Josh to (1) thread needles, (2) scramble to give the receivers more time, and/or (3) transform a passing play into a positive QB run. I wish we had better separators and, at the same time, Brady schemed a better passing game. Still, it's hard to argue with Brady's results: lots of points, few turnovers.
  6. Right and the problem is the stretch run equals 1 or 2 games of rusty play before he gets hurt again
  7. Any game winning anything should get the Shout, no doubt. CB? Really? Benford Hairston Strong Johnson Hancock Lewis I dont see them spending a high resource on CB next year.
  8. Does this mean Tarin Johnson will play?
  9. Honestly, I think he is actively taking a safer approach this season through two games. He is very tentative when it comes to tucking and running with the ball so far and only running when absolutely needing to. There have even been a few times where he has decided to force a throw over a 6-7 yard run, which I haven't seen from him before. He will have 1-2 plays a game where he may get some contact going, but otherwise he is being safer in my opinion through two games.
  10. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/can-t-miss-play-40-yard-run-by-josh-allen-bills-qb-mashes-turbo-button-bills-vs-jets-week-2 I can't get it to embed, but if you watch it he has someone inside of Adams, but that guy is behind the play and probably 5+ yds inside of the boundary. He may have the angle on Allen after he's slowed by Adams, but if he doesn't Allen scores.
  11. Better week to use the Bills is the next time they play Miami, week 10. And that is largely because it is a TOUGH week elsewhere around the league.
  12. Or CB. The secondary needs help.
  13. I was happy he used the stiff arm to prevent getting lit up. CB has to slow down when he presents it else hell just slide off the tackle. The throwing arm part is a good thought. Wonder how often people get injured on stiff arms versus hits near the sidelines.
  14. Even when its a game winning FG? What if we are in the AFCCG and it comes down to the final seconds and we kick a game winning FG that puts us in the SB? Points are points and they all matter. I mean if we are down 20 and kick a FG like the Jets last week I get it but...
  15. That has always been a likely scenario after Milano's restructure. They do have Dorian in house and likely have a lot of faith in him. I would expect LB to be addressed via FA/Draft (although many thought they would do that this year and did not at all).
  16. We have debated this before, but as happy calls out, I think the great ones will be great anywhere. Perhaps coaching and circumstance allow that to come together sooner. But these guys we are seeing boomerang are not the very best. They will ultimately prove to be starting caliber and sometimes really good QB's. Take Allen for example. He started his rookie year as all these guys did and did so for a perennial loser. His QB whisperer was a guy in New York who couldn't make Daniel Jones work and now it appears like Jones could be the next Boomerang QB. I'm sure Dabs helped Josh, but I'm more sure Josh helped himself with Jordan Palmer and the rebuild of his mechanics. You have called out how much McD is responsible for Allen. Allen was inevitable and that was because of who he is. Not anybody else. I think the culture, team, and system matter more when the guy isn't at that level. Mentally or physically. They can't overcome a bad org and bad coaching. But I don't believe the elite ones would just all of sudden not be that way in other circumstances. Perhaps the progression would be impacted, but these guys just have drive, talent, and intelligence that is at another level compared to others.
  17. We are going to have to seriously consider a first round linebacker next draft
  18. Thanks for sharing that. This was always the most likely outcome. Why rush them back for a Thursday Nighter on four days rest when you can try to get by an inferior opponent without them and then give them 10 days to heal?
  19. Look like a bunch of blueberries making a fruit salad.
  20. Not surprising. They should still have no trouble winning this game without them. Next game after this is in 10 days vs the Saints so hopefully, they will be back by then.
  21. Good point. I didnt see if he had more yards to gain on the long run.
