There’s something different about McD this season…
SoCal Deek replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is an internet chat room not a court case deposition. Would you prefer it if I’d said “PROBABLY can’t”? Or cited every mediocre head coach that has won it? McDs resume grows with every passing season. He’s shown me nothing to indicate this year will be any different from recent playoff failures. -
More Bengals Blunders. Trey Hendrickson to have surgery.

wow and his camp was pushing for a trade all season. What a Billsy thing it would have been if Beane had done it just before the trade deadline. omg lol -
I mean, I think what we are seeing is kind of who is going to be for his entire career. Maybe an uptick here or there on receptions, but otherwise just a high level blocker who can sneak out and catch a ball every now and then.

you might be reasonable …most of your fan base isn’t …they are spoiled and by now quite used to having success ….

Colts to bring in ….Philip Rivers for workout UPDATE: Signed to PS

They absolutely do not to an NFL strength and conditioning regime. Of course they still work out, but it’s just like the rest of us. There’s no trainers, nutritionists, physios, etc that keep these guys in game shape. -

True in one sense. Starting Leonard for the outside world at least is an automatic L. Rivers is more than likely going to look awful but it might give them a jolt. Rivers I am sure can at the very least be a leader and mentor Leonard somewhat. -
Oh people are greedy and want more, but any reasonable person knows they are exceeding a lot more than planned and they are a good draft and FA away from being a true SB contender with Maye.. maybe that’s just me

Heath Miller of Steelers, or if he could put on weight Larry Brown of Steelers who became an OT.

I'm sure he's everything McD and Beane expected, a exceptional blocker to compliment the O line. He's actually turned out to be a great safety valve for Josh when pass plays break down pretty much because they don't pay him any attention. 😅 He's a keeper no doubt. Gotta love a specialty guy who loves doing the dirty work others hate. There's no finesse and his hands are still a question. What there is is an elite knowledge of run concepts, competent ability to engage and finish and eagerness to bury people's faces in the turf. To me his ceiling is a better blocking Dawson Knox.

One of those boutique wineries that Ontario and New York State seem to be overrun by...🤔🤨

What would your move be in this situation? -
I disagree wih you … you have a big lead in the Division and are in the running for the 1 seed …whatever the expectations were at the beginning of the season have well and truly changed now … you will be talked up all week in the media by the Allen haters ..

Whoever would've thought this previous comment would pick up so much traction 🤣

Colts just became must watch football. I assume this means he is going to start this week, otherwise what is the point of signing a 44 year old QB who retired 5 years ago? More to the point, why would Rivers come back just to practice with the team for a few weeks and watch some of the worst QB play imaginable close up?

Equally you cannot put an ice cold, old Rivers on the field at Seattle. It's dangerous. -

There's nothing different about him. He's still the same fraud that is being carried by the best QB in the league. It's the same every season. The team starts off good, struggles mid season and then goes on a run in December that makes them look like legit contenders. The hype builds on here and then they inevitably crash out in the playoffs when they face a team with a good coach and defense. -

Exactly the reason for him to give it a shot! The were truly in between a rock and a hard place - the most hollow 8 and 5 team in recent memory. Everyone is expecting an 8 and 9 season now irrespective of who is the QB. If Rivers wins one game it will be super impressive. No way would you want Leonard to have his first career start at Seattle.
