I'm not happy about this, but he, ogun, and Hoyt are all on this team so that we don't have Jordan Phillips and Solomon and two street free agents taking late game snaps vs the ravens and chiefs late in the game because Oliver Groot and even AJ are dog tired after being out there for 70% of the plays on long sustained drives in the playoffs. Mcds ideal d is capable of playing the pass with waves of d linemen causing team based pressure and playing the run with penetration all in front of smart cover lbs and a nickel secondary that erased the deep ball and forces bad passes. When more than one part of that fails the d is a house of cards that gets trucked slowly all game. Our lack of depth and talent killed us in every playoff loss. Short of adding a Myles Garrett, the build we have now is about perfect for what McD wants to do. It of course is possible the picks and free agents are all pumpkins and we do the same crap in the post season, but young, agile, mobile, and hostile is a pretty solid formula for football, so I like our chances

I had this experience after HS playing pickup basketball at Lancaster Boy's Club one college break and Don 'Majik Man' Majkowski was playing with us. I played against him in HS and in pickup games back then (and he was a great HS multi-sport athlete) but by this time he was playing at W Va and holy crap had his athleticism reached grown-ass-man levels. When the dude came down and tomahawked a slam dunk like white chocolate thunder we all kind of just stood there like "OK". He took it easy on us the rest of the way :p. You know all these guys are great athletes but sometimes seeing it first hand and up close can take your breath away

Well, admittedly I didn't see him play is Seattle. But I did catch a few of his games with the Dolphins. Not sure if it was just a better scheme fit or them using him to his strength better...but he was playing at a "Pro Bowl" level in Miami. In fact, where he struggled the most in Buffalo (coverage) he actually showed out in Miami. He posted the NFLs #1 overall coverage grade for LBers from week 11 on (which is when he joined Miami.).

Big time sports is an industry of bending and breaking rules and false representation, it always has been. College football/basketball had paid players and guys who literally couldn't read graduating from top level colleges, players committing various crimes including sexual assault and it getting swept under the rug, and the criminal proclivities of NFL athletes are well known. The idea that these guys wouldn't use drugs that make them better because it's "cheating" or that coaches would be too worried about ethics or player health is Pollyanna bull hickey.

Still find it hilariously ironic that these same people that burn Teslas, releasing untold amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, are pretty much all climate change warriors. There's too much CO2 in the atmosphere and it is an EXISTENTIAL CRISIS and we must do EVERYTHING in our power to reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere except when our own inner demons would like to see something burn. The CO2 released from those actions have absolutely NOTHING to do with the CO2 that causes global warming. (Won't even get into how the release of toxic substances into the atmosphere from burning (the combustible portions) of cars might also be detrimental to the environmentalists causes.)

When I was in college, I was selected to come out onto the field at halftime to catch punts. I, while quite drunk, thought this was an excellent idea and was very confident walking down to the field. When I got to the field, the Pitt QB scored a TD right in front of me. He was huge and I suddenly felt like the smallest dude, freaked out and proceeded to drop every single punt in front of the entire stadium.
