Holy crap the BBFS is in FULL EFFECT this year. Drake Meh is still a young QB. Definitely has talent, but he’s not the next coming of Josh. He’s still mistake prone and McBabich should be able to confuse the crap out of him. This will be another classic infuriating McD defensive game plan. Contained rush, stop the run, zone behind it. I’m sure they will switch it up and try and disguise things, just don’t let Drake beat us with his feet. If neither Oliver or Milano are back within 4 games, why didn’t we put them on IR? Besides keeping opposing teams guessing, was there any other reason not to? Unless we there was wishful thinking going on that they’d heal quick but Oliver should have been a no brainer.

NFL = Crack A lot of fans don't like the direction the NFL is going and are sick of the amount of money their sucking out of all the fans pockets without a single regard for the average Joe that just wants to sit down on a Sunday afternoon to watch a game. But those same fans just can't (or refuse) to break free of it. So they'll say, "Hulu and Peacock are only $7-8 / month, why not just for the season." And so it goes.

I would say that if the playoff format were still 6 teams that the Ravens are likely going to put themselves in too big of a hole to make it. But the AFC is likely going to put 9-8 teams in play for the final wildcard spot so I think if they can just limit the damage and float within a game or two of .500 deeper into November they will at least give themselves a chance at a wildcard run. If 2 out of the 3 teams let's up a bit AFC South Wildcard Jags or Colts, Pats or Second AFC West Wildcard Denver/Chargers/KC then the Ravens could find themselves only needing to go 9-8 to be "in the mix" for the 7th seed. The AFC just isn't a deep conference where you need to push 10-11 wins for a wildcard. That can change of course. I certainly think the Ravens are going to be rooting for the Chiefs and Bills this weekend to bring the Jags down to the pack and to hand the Pats a loss to keep them at bay. The fact that they could go 9-8 and be in the mix and at worst only need to go 10-7 to get a wildcard or their division is what keeps me from counting the Ravens out. They are 1-3 which while not good means they would only need to go 8-5 to get to 9-8 and 9-4 to get to 10-7.

With hoecht out I expected to see him play. Not sure how you cannot at least be a little concerned but at the same time I am going to let it play out this year and next before jumping to conclusions.

That seems to be a reasonable game plan to me in the situation they're in, but if the Texans some how get up 10 points or more early, I would not be all that surprised if Harbaugh/Monken abandon the run and have Rush trying to throw all over the field. FYI: I'm not a big Harbaugh, just in case you didn't realize that.

The way many on this board seem to be so frightened about the mighty Patriots coming to town this Sunday, I don't how you'll make it through the week when much better teams like the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles come to town!

I think part of it is - the 3 hardest games on their schedule were @buf, @KC, and Det and those are all done. 3 AFCE games that are all winnable, 5 divisional games that are all winnable. Minnesota doesn't have a QB, winnable. Chicago isn't very good, winnable. Patriots in baltimore in december feels pretty winnable. Probably the toughest game left is GB. Really they need to get to 2-4 at the bye, and try and come back healthy with a 2-game week against chicago and miami which would potentially have them at .500 going into november with something resembling positive momentum.

Our run defense ranks at the basement of the league. If we could figure out how to shut down more runs, we would be much more effective. Although that may expose our DB's as they would have to throw more then.

Both things could be true, his lack of separation could be hindering him from being an elite WR but he's still a quality player contributing in multiple ways. The team doesn't need Keon to be a Diggs level superstar they just need him to be a quality boundary WR who can win outside matchups here or there.

Well... Cooper rush is starting in a must-win game, so i'm going to expect them to try and get henry 25+ carries, and 40+ carries as a team.

The Ravens have some seriously bad mojo going on right now. If they lose to Houston I think the wheels come off that bus. If Lamar is really injured and the team isn’t running interference for him because he quit on them (which he has done before), then his #1 weapon (his agility) is going to be seriously hampered. He’s not a drop back passing QB. They weren’t playing well when everyone was healthy, so I don’t know why people think they can go on a 9-2 run.

He leads all of our skill players in snaps (even over Cook), targets, receptions, and yards. Not saying he should be free from all criticism but Josh and Joe Brady clearly like him a lot. I don’t think that would be the case if his lack of separation was as hindering as some people make it out to be.

That "disciplined crew" had 5 turnovers in week 3.
