  2. Gabe Davis is our savior?......
  3. well, he's more than a QB I think Allen is going to save himself at some point. He'll get a mystery injury in practice like the other 20 guys
  4. It's hard to convert on an onside kick as it is. Expecting to do it with a guy who's not a kicker and never done it in a game is just not a serious attempt.
  5. The Bills could lose out and I'd bet every cent of my net worth that both McDermott and Beane are back next year.
  6. Pretty awful game for the defense IMO. The defense allowed 14 points on the Dolphins first 3 drives. Then had a stretch where they played pretty well from the middle of the 2nd Q into the 4th Q. Then gave up a couple of long TDs in the 4th Q to put the game away. Both of Tua's interceptions were just arm punts
  7. They had awful gameplans ( or lack of game plan) on both sides of the ball. Yes that is definitely coaching. Brady was terrible and McD not much better. Was only referring to being motivated.
  8. Seriously, for HIS mental health, they should trade him to a team that'll use him, and bring in a game manager to play complementary football.
  9. In the simplest way of asking how many chances is McDermott really going to get? I mean when the guy first got here Andrew luck was still a franchise QB. Thank you for reversing the fortunes of this team but how many more chances is he getting? Every single one? Does he get Josh’s entire prime? Does he get his entire career? Like FFS man when do we say enough? Before this guy is a statue…we gotta see if someone else can get us what we want. You can’t just keep writing off seasons. Nobody is getting any younger here. Is the guy going to get 10 chances? It’s truly ***** us here. You gotta go to McDermott and say like, you got this run. Get to the Super Bowl or can we move you to the front office? Please, or else it ends in a way you won’t like
  10. I’m not trying to hand wave away the pressing, because it’s a legitimate critique, but who wouldn’t be pressing when this is what you’re given to work with?
  11. Thinking about this more, the roster has sort of been built because of how defenses have been playing us for several years— stop all big plays. We are now built to pound the rock and win with ball control and defense. It’s actually a winning formula, but it depends on a high level of execution and patience. We can’t commit penalties, be behind the sticks, and commit turnovers. We have to be patient and innovative with the run game and using the RBs and TE’s in the passing game. Today, it was a mess because of the sloppy execution and game script.
  12. There’s a difference. Neither of these of those fired their GM. They just replaced a HC. So there was some degree of continuity. if you blow everything up, you’re likely looking at a multi-year process to get back - especially when you look at the cap situation and all of the contracts that were just re-signed
  13. I would summarize McDermott's failings as a head coach as "he doesn't step outside his comfort zone." The coordinator hires are emblematic of his leadership. He is so focused on rewarding process versus rewarding results. Babich and Dorsey and Brady were already in the building and "proved themselves" at least in his eyes so they automatically got the jobs. He could have hired Klint Kubiak if he wanted to. He could have hired Lou Anarumo or Brian Flores. But those are people he doesn't know personally and he wasn't willing to step outside his comfort zone. And there's absolutely no reason to give McDermott more swings. He keeps hiring people that feed into his worst instincts or don't have the power to stand up to him. So cut off the head or you're wasting your time.
  14. When you watch other games, it seems like most teams have a pass offense that runs more effectively than ours. A good mix of plays, not too much predictability, receivers being schemed open, etc. The Bills offense makes everything look difficult. I'm not even sure what their objective is. They don't go downfield, they don't throw slants, they don't throw to backs. It almost feels like there's no actual gameplan outside of "Make it happen, Josh."
  15. If they continue playing like this, I don't think a win vs Tampa is even something we can be confident in. Same against the game after that in Houston and the game after that in Pittsburgh.
  16. Yea what the hell was that? I mean how much time does he practice onside kicks? Was there concern over the Prater injury? I mean I would think an old timer like Prater has some wicked spins or hops he could put on the ball. But Davis? That looked like a bad HS onside kick.
  17. He really doesn't look like hes having fun at times. Like Josh can say he's more than a football player, or that if a SB happens it happens and he's not worried about it, game doesn't define him, but right now it seems like he's not enjoying the game. Also, looks like he's a step slower when trying to rush, which makes sense, he's almost 30, but if we are in his shoes we'd probably be feeling similarly, or maybe we're reading too much into it....probably the later. Still, lot of thoughts probably running through his head, he's given this team all he could and it may not be enough.
  18. Simple question. Is it Brady’s scheme or the receivers that can’t get open? Watching other teams and you see receivers consistently schemed open. Josh has to run around like a chicken with his head cut off to make a play.
  19. Hasn't been two weeks. It's been eight years. You must really suck at math.
  20. McDermott is like the boomer that buys a Corvette and only drives it under the speed limit
  21. In 2017, ending the a Playoff Drought was a victory. In 2020, winning the division and winning a playoff game was a victory. Even last year, making it to the AFC Championship was a victory. But after all of the Division wins, all of the Playoff wins - winning the Division and even making it to the Championship is no longer a victory. That's the floor. Anything less than an AFC Championship is a disappointment. Not only are we looking at a roster where that seems *incredibly* unlikely - we're 2.5 games below the Patriots on the Division and we're dropping to teams like the friggin' Falcons and Dolphins. That's a major regression. Being unhappy about that isn't being "spoiled". The year is 2025. 2018 expectations no longer apply.
  22. Oh no, we lost a football game! What about last week when it aged to perfection? You can always count on a Bills fan to find one example of a time something didn't work out in their life and build an entire philosophy on it. Thanks for being predictably you, fellas.
