I can only speak for how it works in academia (which is the apex of all human endeavors and so should be emulated everywhere /s)….but if a Department is running well you hire a Chair from within. If it’s not or it’s stagnate, you hire externally. The Bills have been run with this internal promotion scheme since McD arrived so it appears to me external is the way to go. If you think McD is capable you get true external OC and DC and shake this up somehow.

They think behind closed doors the Bills are purposely playing the long game with Allen as McBeane often mentions the importance of keeping Josh healthy. They imply that they are going through the season, play him conservative, stay healthy. Of course you actually have to WIN games too and even assuming they get in, the road games will be brutal

You’ve made a pretty compelling case as to how it might play out. I’m going to commit right now to not voting for him if this whole ‘cannot be elected’ but can be “serving 3rd terms” comes to pass. The only thing that could get in the way if he is successful in his bid to convince Canada to become North Idaho. I’m against all that talk as it’s disrespectful, but I feel like Niagara Bill has been really mean to me lately and it hurts my feelings.

Yeah, if reports heard by the OP are true, he's done. I don't think the recovery for the PCL and MCL is quite as long as for the ACL, but he's certainly not coming back this season or the playoffs. I think he might be fully recovered for the preseason. Nice video clip, but I think its Kingsley Jonathon who will get activated from the PS.

Offensive philosophy is a joke. Defense is built to play with a lead, but we run an Offense that burns clock and plays ball control. Got it. Nevermind the fact JA clearly needs WR’s and not more TE’s.. the entire offense/defense philosophy makes zero sense.

This is exactly where I am at. Keon has talent but this was not an easy situation for him to land. He was the first pick and expected to replace the most prolific WR in Bills history as a rookie. Due to terrible roster construction, he has had to play as the primary outside receiver since he got here. And a part of that is basically only giving him deep targets downfield especially this year. I’m not a football genius and maybe he is getting these routes and I’m not seeing them, but some of his best plays last year and at FSU were when he took a slant and was able to do some RAC. And those plays actually contributed to him having pretty decent advanced metrics for a rook. Now certainly Keon hasn’t helped himself and I wasn’t even a fan pre-draft (I believe I had him ranked as WR12 in my rankings that are posted here somewhere). But I don’t think everything has been very fair to the kid. If he was drafted to the team when we still had Diggs and he could develop at his own pace, maybe we would see more flashes. Right now though, he seems to be washing out unfortunately. When Josh was asked about Keon yesterday at his presser and paused and said “well he got one [touchdown]” that seemed like a teammate that is not happy with him.
