  2. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/08/12/inflation-july-trump-tariffs/ Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy to give a more-accurate reading of underlying price pressures, rose 3.1 percent from a year earlier, hotter than the prior month’s increase and above expectations. “It’s a meaningful increase in inflation that points to upward pricing pressures across the economy for the remainder of the year,” said Joe Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM. Annual rates could edge toward 4 percent by the end of the year, economists say, assuming monthly price pressures continue to firm. On a monthly basis, prices rose for particular categories exposed to tariffs, such as furniture prices, which increased 0.9 percent. Tire prices were up 1 percent. Tomato prices, incluenced by tariffs on Mexican agricultural imports, were up 3.3 percent. Airfares rose 4 percent.
  3. I never liked this 1st round pick. The guy is not good in run support and is not a great tackler in college. Can you imagine him tackling pro TEs one on one. He’s slight and injury prone. Other than that he’s terrific.
  4. My prediction it is announced an hour or 2 before Hard knocks.
  5. Pretty sure this NFL head coach was onto something 🤔😉
  6. Still think about Tony Dungey talking Michael Vick out of coming to Buffalo. The 2009/2010 teams with Vick at qb make the playoffs.
  7. Jack, if you’re in the upper deck, you’ll be covered.
  8. It’s like we are used to getting production out of top picks anyway. Hopefully Tre can hold his own until Max gets healthy
  9. It’s all McD’s fault. Everything good comes from Josh, but McD brings us down. I’ve read that here. Stuff happens…..but it sure seems to happen to our DB’s more than their fair share. We haven’t played a game that counts yet, and we are without our starting safeties and CB #2. I’d rather be healthy for the playoffs than preseason, but this is an inauspicious start.
  10. Yup, Raiders-Skins was Facenda's last Super Bowl, and he delivered what I think is his most memorable line: "On came Marcus Allen, running with the night." Facenda was recognized at the HOF, but agree, he needs a bust in Canton. https://www.profootballhof.com/news/2021/06/john-facenda-named-2021-pete-rozelle-radio-television-award-winner/
  11. That was the 6-3 masterpiece against the Browns when McKelvin fumbled the kick return. No TDs, just 3 FGs. I listened to the end of that game on my car radio on my way back from Letchworth because I hadn't renewed my season tickets for 2009; I was really angry that the Bills had brought Jauron back after the disaster 2008 season (5-2 through 7 games, 2-7 down the stretch). Bringing in TO to a Jauron-coached team was simply attempting to put lipstick on the rotting carcass of a pig.
  12. It's only four games, and he's not going to playing the first couple anyway given the injury recovery and missed practice. It opens a roster spot for four weeks, which is a (small) silver lining.
  13. Thank you. Mostly correct. You left out the internment of journalists and gay people. I guess there’s not enough social workers to clear homeless encampments. Do you have a suggestion that is better than the National Guard? I know they are an extremely violent gestapo-like group but still.
  14. Somebody say foot doctor?
  15. I think its the Bills who need the #1 seed to have a chance to get to the Super Bowl. McDermott has never won a road playoff game. The Ravens have the type of team that can win on the road in the playoffs. They can run the ball very well with Henry/Jackson and they are tough defensively. Jackson can make all throws an NFL QB needs to make to be successful. I hope I am wrong obviously but I do think they are the best team in the AFC and possibly the entire league. I think they will win a minimum of 13 games this season.
  16. Is he now unemployed?
  17. What a kick in the nuts to have a weakness, spend a big asset to shore it up, and have it immediately blow up in your face leaving you exactly where you started.
  18. Best since Shady and it isn't close. Motor gave us a little pop but Cook is the first gamebreaker at the position since McCoy.
  19. After seeing Ray Davis's performance with the first team last week, hopefully it gave the front office a little nudge towards the side of paying Cook. Clearly there is a dropoff in the running game when he's not out there.
  20. Did you win the Lotto? Who can afford a new car these days?
  21. My thoughts as well. Personally, I'm all for keeping Jimmy...just not at what he's been asking. Hard to justify that kinda money when the dude often comes out on 3rd down/passing downs because Ray and Ty are better blockers. But if the deal looks like something similar to what Kyren Williams just got then I think most of us Bills fans would be happy with that. During the McBeane era they've kinda always cycled thru running backs. Singletary was alright but didn't seem like someone imperative to re-sign. Zack Moss fizzled out. They'd sign vets like Gore or Chris Ivory or Matt Breida, TJ Yeldon, etc for RB2 or whatever but none of those dudes ever really broke out like Cook did. At this point I think Cook is the best back they've had during the McBeane times and I think he's worth re-signing.
