  1. Past hour
  2. That's a fine and dandy sentiment except we all know that money and celebrity mean more in the justice system than actual justice. So charges being dropped or even acquitted doesnt do much for me in cases like Hill's. Especially with his pattern of behavior. This isnt a one-off incident that is weird and out of character. This IS his character.
  3. Yup personally I have never been a supporter of "running backs are a dime a dozen" theory. Running backs like Davis do fit that narrative though, but like any other position, RB has players that are better than others, and touch the ball and have more impact than any other player on offense. That qoute has never made sense to me
  4. I don't know what the original thread was titled, but it was probably more understandable than "[Incomplete Title]"
  5. I was watching all-22 and there are two plays on defense I am curious about. I'll tag @GunnerBill and @HappyDays but appreciate comment from anyone with access to all-22 and understanding of the game Q1 12:56 1st&10 at BUF 36 - Pass to Achane close to LOS. He is completely open (nobody within 15yards) with a blocker ahead and it results in 15y gain. What kind of defense do we play and what happened? It seems to me that Bernard is spying on Tua and I guess that is is somehow Taron's responsibility to be there/closer but I don't know. Q2 2:40 3rd&12 at MIA 40 - this is the play where Tre blitzes and completely misses Tua who scrambles and then finds open Hill. I guess this was zone defense since Benford is on Hill when the play starts but then just lets him go when Hill cuts to the middle. Bernard is in the zone but he runs with another Dolphins WR. Who should be covering Hill?
  6. Allen is playing at a very high level. It is not just taking the underneath "safe" passes but knowing when teams are playing zone and playing shell coverage capping routes and knowing where the holes will be underneath and in the zones. His pre-snap reads are so much better, I am sure folks saw him recognize the play side corner blitz and call an "alert" to get the offense in the right set and just as that corner came on the blitz to get pressure in his face he flipped that quick side arm pass to I think Shavers for a long gainer down the right side knowing the Dolphin's D had vacated that space. So, the Allen of yesteryear would have reacted during the blitz with just his God-given physical abilities to escape and find a way out of the mess he was in. Sure, that was a fun and wild ride that left us all at the edge of our seats either in wonder at his abilities or complaining about sugar-high Josh, but now he recognizes when the blitzes are coming and has a good handle on what the defense has given up to be able to bring that pressure and where he can attack them. Allen is the epitome of that growth mindset the Bills preach - no matter the success and accolades there are always ways to get better. I am thoroughly enjoying this era of our Bills having a league MVP at QB who is performing like someone who has earned it.
  7. You might not hear that from fans or talking heads, but DCs know the bind they're in.
  8. Charlie Kirk thought women (AND girls) should be legally forced to carry a fetus to birth in cases of rape and i n c e s t. That is f*cking psychotic, dude… His opinion on the “motherhood versus career” debate is completely worthless. It is up to an individual woman and no one else to decide what’s best for her own life. My own mom, like so many other moms in America, successfully managed both: raising 3 children as a full-time civil engineer, with sufficient help from an awesome dad! I intend to do the same someday. Charlie Kirk types should be free to voice their regressive opinions without threats of violence, obviously, but the inherent fallacy in this particular opinion is thinking one knows what’s best for ALL women.
  9. Why would this be a toss up? Root for Pittsburgh to give our closest AFC East competitor a loss. Surely you're not worried about the Steelers getting a win - they stink and are going nowhere in the long run
  10. Yes, I'm quoting myself. People do realize the upside down face implies I'm joking, right? You know, like we all rag on Keon for being slow? Just want to make it clear I don't really care how skinny Kincaid is 👍
  11. Rams/eagles. Time.to see siriani get schooled by a smarter coach.
  12. Did he slip him a resume in a yellow interoffice envelope?
  13. Cleveland should be 1-1. The Browns defense is legit. They held Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown to 17 yards of offense in the second half. No, I didn't omit a zero. They should have won that game. They lost by a point and had a missed XP and a missed chip shot FG. The Packers have looked good, but they have played two games at Lambeau. Let's see how they look on the road against an excellent defense.
  14. Watch the Madden vision from Amazon Coleman in the first quarter was getting off his man routinely.
  15. I will always root against the Patriots. Let Baltimore handle the Steelers.
  16. Would love to see Frank Gore Jr get a chance over Davis to back up Cookie.
  17. Buffalo could conceivably host Kansas at 7-0, if they can keep their act together. That would get the buzz going for sure.
  18. And to think that there was a strong contingency on this board that were willing to let him walk if he didn’t sign for less than $15m a year. Beane is a great negotiator and got Cook for a great deal but if it would have taken $15m a year he would have been worth every penny of it. Be honest, and I really like Shakir, who is more valuable to this team? Shakir or Cook?
  19. Yep. Mahomes looked downright skittish at times, which I’d not seen in him before.
  20. The literally absolutely insane 4th down TD in AFC championship game. The countless 30+ yard runs last year. I don't think he's the 2nd best player on offense, I think he's the 2nd best player on our team. I get some peoples trepidation on the 15 million, but some of the offseason takes were essentially RB's mean nothing and Davis would do just fine. Just so off the mark. He's trending toward being in first team All Pro conversation. Last back we had to that was Thurman. All of this even more impressive considering he just got paid.
  21. Absolutely the overall key to their D performance was their Dline dominance and they were really only playing man on 3rd downs. When they did press up they were effective in muddying everything for Mahomes on 3rd down where they were only 3 for 11 converting.
  22. In the first two games, I thought that Buffalo may have felt the 4-3 was a more effective way of containing potent running games with Derrick Henry and Breece Hall. Miami doesn't fit that however. Taron Johnson's health could be a contributing factor as could Shaq Thompson's experience. Cam Lewi, who can fill in for Taron Johnson is also banged up a bit. Thompson did have a beautiful TFL in the Miami game.
  23. No they left that very good question out
  24. Weight training when you can't afford weights
  25. After the Cook Jets run.. it’s hard to not fine the ball to the Bills most explosive player. Davis has also a poor run average from either running out the clock in Jets game. Or short down and distance plays. But as of yet Davis hasn’t had any explosive plays. I think they will come. It’s a long season and Cook’s usage over the next few weeks might be bit lighter vs Saints Panthers type teams.
