  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe we can unveil them out on Lake Erie...I volunteer to jump in
  3. Yep, exactly what I was getting at. It would require Josh's approval, I'd love to know what his real answer is.
  4. That was Dan Patricks best line while at SportsCenter
  5. If you are interested in the guy you give Josh the final approval. Sometimes a lot of these rival players like to "have that guy on my side" mentality. But given that Josh is who the whole franchise is built around and Wilkinson is a fringe acquisition Josh gets to have "veto power" on the signing.
  6. Pretty sure it's the same all white throwbacks for both. They can choose to wear white at home.
  7. Look, man, I’m not busting anyone’s balls for the making the pick. The fact is that it was a horrible pick. And so was Elam. It happens. All the time. I can opine that a player was a horrible pick (which I did) and still not criticize the GM (I did not). Luv ya! 😘
  8. I don't think Elam or Maybin were considered massive reaches at the time. McCargo was considered a massive reach at the time for example. He was drafted in the late 1st and many pundits and evaluators had him as a early to mid 3rd round talent. Elam was considered by most to be a firm top 30ish talent in the draft at a decently valued position. He went 24th that's right in that range. Maybin was considered a late 1st rounder very early 2nd rounder early in the process and then roster up into the "mid-1st" range in the evaluation process. Maybin was drafted 10th not that far off from a mid-1st round position. I didn't like the Elam pick at the time because I thought he might not be a scheme fit and I thought go offensive line protect Josh but let's not pretend it was a McCargo level reach either.
  9. I dont think Josh is petty, and I believe he's willing to do what's best for the team, but that might be a hard sell to the face of our franchise. I dont know. Depends on how personally he takes those cheap physical attacks. I know I would have a tough time bringing that guy into the locker room if I were Josh. But who knows. Players have very different perspectives and relationships than us fans.
  10. Since you don't care, keep scrolling. Some of us enjoy this
  11. Spring is taunting, much like the gap between the SB and Opening Day. Now if the Sabres could fill that void…..
  12. Are you sure about the home throwbacks? I thought it was one white throwback set worn at a home and an away game….
  13. My reading comprehension was not very good on that one! I agree I would take him over Jones. But he doesn't seem like a player Beane would want to bring in. Then again the Pats in the Brady era were always willing to take chances on a few "Bad Apples" because they felt like their culture was strong enough that they could either quickly get rid of or "shape up" a guy with a bad rep. Most of the time the guys they kicked tires on malcontents it didn't work out (Chad Johnson, Albert Haynesworth, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, and Michael Floyd) but the few times they hit it was usually a pretty big win everyone knows Randy Moss but they also hit on Corey Dillion and Aquib Talib. I think McD for all the critiques you can have of him (some legit some not in my opinion) has built a very strong culture here. I think if Beane thinks there's meat on the bone with a "bad apple" now and again on a low risk contract I don't see why you can't take a risk. They tried with Claypool last season and he got hurt. If Wilkinson is brought in I don't see the issue. DT despite the Saunders pick in round 2 and the Walker pick in round 4 as well as the Larry O acquisition is still a bit of a softer spot on the roster. Kicking the tires on Wilkinson who has high end upside might not be the worst idea.
  14. If it is a blue and an ice or silver I am going to be so all over this like flies on **** or me on a plate of pasta. Winter is coming and the North remembers.
  15. my football coach would always say that line
  16. Are we the Oregon Ducks yet?
  17. So, we have two throwbacks coming, home and road. The red helmet against the Jets in the finale. And what sounds like a winter white-out in October. The Bills have one of the top five kits in the league...hate to mess with it...and I have no hope Nike will come up with something tolerable in October.
  18. i think this is pretty cool. got the throwbacks, red helmet, and now this. i'm stoked
  19. I don’t think Fields is a guy, or any of those guys, are the guys that you build around. That’s why I used the Darnold (and Geno) examples. They got 3 year deals. That’s what I think Fields could get. If he plays well this year, he could get a bridge deal like that. If he excels in that bridge deal, as Baker has (shouldn’t expect that) he will get a massive deal. He can’t get that coming out of this year IMO. He will need to “prove it” for multiple seasons. That’s what Darnold basically has to do.
  20. That's a lame justification. Where was the appropriate spot for Maybin to be drafted? The 7th round? If we don't draft him, he absolutely goes in the next 10 picks, just like most "drafted too high" players. Most draft boards are pretty close. It wasn't some insane reach that the jags or raiders are known for.
  21. There was a lot of people here predictioning economic calamity. Maybe it will still happen and those people will find some satisfaction. To date, every one of those predictions has amounted to fertilizer.
  22. Josh Allen.....you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him....and most teams can't even do that!!
