the art of the deal........used car salesman edition
Albany,n.y. replied to Sweats's topic in Off the Wall
This is why I buy new: The tires are always new. I got screwed at 17 buying a used car & I vowed to never buy used again. I buy new & run them into the ground. My current car is 15 years old, with less than 58,000 miles & since I don't drive much anymore it will probably last me the rest of my life. My last 2 cars before this one lasted 10 years & 13 years, both over 100k miles. -

Christian Benford in a medical walking shoe

If you had asked me on Monday which defensive player was going to be key in the matchup against New England's offense, I would have said Benford. I would have envisioned Benford following Diggs wherever he lines up, except perhaps in the slot. I hope he's up to playing. IIt is frustrating though seeing key players getting hurt week after week this season. -
I busted out a fresh Gillette razor today, shaved my *** with it and threw it in the trash. Bills 28-10.

Thanks for the info. We will see you all tomorrow. Go Bills.

Rep. Bennie Thompson Asks Where in the US Is Antifa What is Antifa, anyway? Is it, as Joe Biden claimed during the presidential debates, that it's "just an idea," or is it a domestic terrorist group? Rep. Bennie Thompson seemed offended that Antifa had been declared the top domestic terrorist threat and pressed FBI Operations Director Michael Glasheen on where they are and how many people. He must have thought it was a powerful moment, because he posted it to his own X account. https://twitchy.com/brettt/2025/12/13/rep-bennie-thompson-asks-where-in-the-us-is-antifa-n2422809 -

Think you're looking for momentum. It's like, mass*velocity. To STOP requires accelerating in the opposite direction, or a force exerted on them. The force would be something like a collision force of the ground against their cleats when they dig in. Considering the collision force required to stop an object with that momentum is massive, they'd all be blowing knees out.

Recent events after Zohran Mamdani’s win have been deeply unsettling. I worked with community leaders from many backgrounds believing we shared respect for this country. What’s come to light—including leaked group conversations—suggests otherwise. The hostility toward Americans, contempt for our institutions, and rejection of assimilation are alarming—especially given the influence some of these individuals hold. Anyone who openly disdains this country should have no place near City Hall or Gracie Mansion. This isn’t about background or origin. It’s about values, loyalty to the United States, and respect for Americans. I’m deeply concerned about the future of NYC and the country.

Some people just like to stir the pot. I wish more of the pot stirrers here would take their act to other teams’ boards. 🤣

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*

I see Maye keeping pace with the Bills early in this game, but I think the Bills and the run game will eventually wear down their D and we will control the clock late to put it away -
Get used to it. They might be good for a while if Maye doesn’t implode.

I'm actually pretty excited about the running game. Milton Williams being out is huge, and you have 2 starting LB's that are iffy. The Bills O-line is also back to health. I think the only way NE scores in the 30's is if they get a ST TD - which of course is a possibility. But I'll be surprised if they go over 20. The WR room really isn't all that, and the running game isn't great. They have feasted on some pretty poor teams for the most part. The only edge I give the Pats this week is the bye. Vrabel has been good out of the bye.

I would be surprised if we don’t play an international game next season. With the current appeal of the franchise, I don’t see the NFL giving us a pass two years in a row.

I had exact same problem, turned tv off and back on after 30 seconds and voila it worked. Are you using Directv?

Below the lungs and above the thighs absolutely not. Everywhere else is ok relatively speaking -
How does Cook's and Johnson's role in the passing game work in this matchup, do you think?
