Second, the site definitely did not do the interview, I simply shared the link I pulled from one of the posts so I could cut and paste part of the quote so I didn't have to retype it. Third, what someone in the forum said was that it was a reposting of something he said in another interview. Is that accurate, not sure, but I am also not going to go into full on internet sleuth to figure that out. What I do know is it aligns with things he and Allen have both stated all offseason in his commitment. Which is enough for me to not waste hours and hours of my time listening to every live interview he has done all offseason to pinpoint the exact moment it was (or wasn't) said. Posters in other forums seemed to validate it, but I can't vouch for their assumptions or knowledge either. But if you want to go listen to every single interview to prove he didn't say it, then be my guest. In the meantime, whether it proves accurate or not is nothing more than a minor note in an already stellar offseason and doesn't really matter too much one way or the other.
