The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Lost replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is probably true. KC wants to be a passing offense. Brady wants the Bills to be a running offense and we don't even know what to do with the few speed guys we do have since we're always running 12 or 13 personnel. Do we even practice throwing deep balls? -

100 bucks brings in 1500 is a pretty good roi

Look! If you’re going to quote actual statistics instead of ranting with nothing to back it up, maybe you need to find a more appropriate venue. Just saying.

If Only They Could Tackle..It's Not Just the Coaching
billsfan89 replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills defense as a collection of talent isn't bad and if they need a starting caliber piece somewhere they can add it esp in the secondary or at LB. And they make some fantastic big plays. They are a "clutch" defense certainly but there's very clearly something missing from the defense either they are really holding back scheme wise or they just are being sloppy... -

If they swapped teams Worthy would be getting 4 targets and 1 end around per game in this offense and folks would be complaining about Coleman getting a ton of opportunity while Rashee Rice has been out. -

Josh Allen is white. Damn him. -
As of today, he’s in the conversation. He is currently +1500 (tied with Amon-Ra St. Brown). He is trailing Puka, Taylor, Bijan and McCaffrey in that order. Not bad!!
-
His workload will lessen as the season goes on as Brady has already mentioned they need to get Davis and Ty more involved. I realistically see him going 1300-1400 yds and 15 TD'S with 300 yd receiving . Whether that's good enough for OPOTY is yet to be seen.

Apples and oranges. If I was drafting a golf team I’d take Tiger over Phil. The Chiefs have not just exceeded in their coaching, their GM picks players best suited to their needs. He doesn’t pick another TE when the current one was just signed to a new contract, or pass on a WR who can stretch the defense. -
I think the earliest this team is going to see Hairston is likely after the bye, they haven't even activated his 21 day practice window. I think they aren't in a rush to get him back they really need him for a stretch run. Ed and Milano seem like they will have a shot to be back which should be a needed shot in the arm. I wonder if any people who are very knowledgeable on this can explain why? Is it the D-line getting blown back consistently? Is it poor LB play? Is it poor secondary tackling? You obviously don't get that level of bad without there being issues with all 3 levels of defense but there's obviously some levels that could be worse than the other.

Bills are 2nd worst in the league at rushing yards allowed. 657 with 164.3 / gm. Second worst to the Bears at 658; 164.5 / gm.

At this point, maybe just have Mitch Trubisky practice as the holder for figgies; he was taking snaps at it yesterday. Used to be a lot of backup QBs did the hold. Johnston evidently felt he could do it and put on the brace yesterday but those endorphins wear off and then the big swelling starts from hits & hyperextension like that.
-
You seem very upset. Was it the run defense yesterday that has you unhinged?

I agree, but I don’t think the dream of making football a global game is going to happen. I think it’s possible that years down the road we’ll discover they put their energy in the wrong places. -
Unless injury happens, no one is besting Bijan Robinson for OPY. Maybe Jonathan Taylor. Bijan is an absolute weapon! If you didn't know any better, you'd think he was a WR the way he runs routes and catches the ball. He literally does it all at an elite level.
