  1. Past hour
  2. Out of all the 2nd tier QBs that got big contracts tbf last few years, Purdy is the one that deserves it most. Tua, Dak, Lawrence, Murray, Cousins, Love, Goff, etc. all haven't been as consistent as Purdy (and that's not counting the huge flops like Daniel Jones & Deshaun Watson). And that's while getting paid next to nothing as far as NFL players go. I don't think he's great or anything, but given that he was the last pick of the 7th round, he was always going to have an uphill battle getting compensated like the higher round guys, despite being more successful. Trevor Lawrence just needed one decent stretch of games to end a season + a playoff win. He's a 1st round pick & "generational" talent, so everybody was ready to pay him based on potential. But Mr. Irrelevant? He's going to have to do a lot more to sell people on paying him big money. Playing as well as he has, only to be paid less than Trey Lance, Tommy Devito, Joe Milton & Quinn Ewers (who?)... Glad to see him getting paid better.
  3. He was a raw prospect drafted because of his ceiling. I don't think route success in his rookie season when he was injured for a good chunk of it will really tell us if he'll work out long term. We just have to cross our fingers and hope he hits that ceiling. This graphic does confirm something I saw, that Coleman is awesome catching a quick slant out of the slot. It's almost undefendable if they get the right look presnap.
  4. Let them cheer - every losing cause needs its fan club.
  5. Comparing your Tom House quote "As research showed up, guys stopped" with the likes of baseballs steroid era guys is disingenuous to me. Is that what you think happened with the likes of Bonds, Clemens, et. al? Fun fact: Tom House had a nice career as a MLB pitcher but went on to coach throwing including to a number of NFL QB's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_House
  6. He added more speed on both sides of the ball because the team desperately needed speed on both sides of the ball; especially after he let Worthy go to KC.

  8. PPG don’t tell the full story, but KC averaged 27 after Hollywood Brown returned, against some of the best defenses in the league. Add Rice, who was elite before his injury. Upgrade at LT (huge upgrade if Simmons is ready). Improved RB room, Royals. I’ll be surprised if the offense isn’t very good.
  9. This is again assuming he's telling the truth. Again, *every* single person who gets busted for PED's has a similar story. Bc of that, no one really gets the benefit of the doubt. Even if he is telling the truth, he's just as much to blame. You know that there's a laundry list of things that will get you suspended. You shouldn't put any foreign substance in your body, supplement or not, without knowing every ingredient that's in it. Simply trusting someone else, an employee, a friend, whomever - and not looking into it yourself is DUMB! I can't roll my eyes harder at the "oh it wasn't my fault, it was my trainers fault". You're a grown ass adult. A Professional Football player. In a league where you're being regularly tested. And you're just blindly ingesting things?
  10. Bandits back in the championship. Love when bulls players show up .
  11. I thought we all agreed that we were going to have this conversation quietly.
  12. I don’t think Keon will ever be elite (could be wrong on that) but a guy of his height and hands/catching ability should be with speed and i’m not sure that part of his game will ever improve. But I think he could be a consistent 1000 yard receiver…he’ll just never set the world on fire with 2000
  13. I get it but I’ve seen enough off script plays from him where I think he’s a little bit more than just a good system quarterback. I’d take him above Tua, Love, or Lawrence if forced to pick. He has a high floor and can win with him at that salary if you consistently nail the draft.
  14. I argued well before the draft, as a UGA fan, that McConkey is not just a slot receiver, and had lined up on the outside a lot for the Dawgs. Don't give a damn that folks keep saying he's a slot. For certain, he's an NFL receiver, and maybe Coleman becomes one, too, but I don' think there's a chance Ladd is going to wash out, and there is a chance Coleman does. Obviously, I hope he makes a leap, and becomes great.
  15. I'm married but unless we're gonna finish it off the next day - which is rare - we wrap and freeze.
  16. Local boy Iafallo on Winnipeg played in our league when I coached in the early 2000’s. I said then that kid’s going places.
  17. Go Bills!
  18. Nicely done lol
  19. It’s disgusting. Used to have family friendly prices back in the day (for anything sports/entertainment) but it’s way out of bounds now.
  20. But ultimately we are left with this narrative that we have been severely hamstrung by injuries. Which I don’t dismiss but has also never been verified within context. I hate that this thought lingers as one of the reasons but ultimately we have no idea.
  21. He’s actually horrible. His career average is 150 passing yards per game. He’s not on Purdy or Geno or Cousins or Darnold’s level, respectfully. He can’t run an offense or read a defense or play QB at the NFL level. Like I said, your take makes sense if you pick “league average guy making league average money.” Your take does not make sense for a dude who can’t play the position. You may as well say “you are better off paying Peterman $20M.” It’s just wrong.
  22. I get it and you're right. I'm also seeing stats stacked for both running the same routs. I'm good with who we got. I have hope for him to take a two. We'll see tho.
