Henry's contract is an anomaly that yall need to get over. It isnt a market value contract. He is in his 30s. Additionally, his cap hit this year is $13M, so already much closer to what we're talking about for Cook. And the Ravens are now the top spenders at the RB position in the entire league. Just like no one is asking Cook to be paid like Barkley who is above $20M/yr. But Cook is arguably better than Jonathan Taylor who is making more than $15M this year.

Stats without context really fail to show the whole story. While Herbert did, in fact throw for more yards than Allen last year, (a whopping 139 more yards to be exact) let's not forget that Allen basically sat out the entire game the final week against New England, was taken out of several games early due to the score (about another full game give or take in total) and that the Chargers were often throwing later in games due to being behind. This also accounts for the Bills running for about 400 more yards as they were in game wind down mode later in games way more than LA. Not to mention Allen is far more mobile and a threat to run. That will almost always result in higher rushing totals for a team.

I think whether Josh uses something as motivation depends on who says it. Ramsey said John is "trash" so I have no doubt he'd use that as motivation. Here it seems like the kid is saying he wants to pick off the best QB in the NFL. Now that doesn't mean Josh won't still try to abuse him, but I don't think there's animosity behind it.

The reason you quibble is because there is a salary cap. If you overpay for an RB there will be less funds for other positions. I would have rather the cap allocation went to DK Metcalf instead of an RB. Secondly, from a longer term perspective it's a bad look for the FO to be perceived to have given in to the demands of a squeaky wheel (see Dallas Cowboys). The way the FO negotiates has brought excellent deals with most of the good drafted players, making an exception will make future negotiations more difficult. Third, many people here are not placing the value of Cook for what he has done, but rather for what he could be. Cook's stats are at best, at the level of D Henry, $8M a year. Upstream people are saying he should be in the tier of Jacobs, Kamara, or A Jones - yet Cook has never put up those kind of numbers.

Fair enough- But he definitely uses it as motivation. He has always admitted to saying he has a huge chip on his shoulder from not getting any scholarships. Then the Jalen Ramsey thing, being called overrated. The list goes on. He definitely hears the noise from the outside Whether that contributes to impact on performance? The paperwork might take longer today, but do you really think they had an easy time doing things the right way? Or that they didn't face prejudices once they got here? re deporting people with green cards - Those with green cards and student visas are allowed to visit here. Before being granted student visas or green cards there are application and interview processes. If the interviewee says they intend to help take over buildings and lead student protests in order to show support for designated terrorist groups, or they withhold pertinent information on their applications, they are not going to be granted those visitor documents. If they participate or lead those activities, or pertinent information that was withheld from the application is found subsequent to their submission, those visitor documents will be revoked. Or not. Guess the courts are trying to sort it out.

I think he will too, I’m just saying that contracts/cap management have consequences. David Edwards may be the best OG the Bills have had since Richie Incognito. Now OG isn’t a position I would love to overpay either but that’s part of the trade off. Gun to my head, I’d rather pay for Edwards than Cook.

What a crazy thing to argue when the players are telling you themselves. Who cares if it is placebo or not. It still gets the job done. And there is no way you can watch all the film of Josh attacking Ramsey and say there was nothing there. It was on a different level than anyone else he has played against. It was targeted, it was aggressive, it was filthy, and it was glorious.
