Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread
Not at the table Karlos replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can’t critique players that people like. They think everything they do is perfect and pointing out a legitimate flaw means that you have something against them. It’s either black or white. No shades of grey allowed. -

First preseason game is the worst. Caught some of the fourth quarter on the radio. Pretty bad when they're naming players on the radio and you have no idea what team they're talking about. -
So it should be clear we won’t get there rushing 4

I like Jerry o quite a bit and think his experience as a lineman is very valuable as a role as an analyst. I’m indifferent on the other two as they just seem to meld into the plethora of podcasters available online today. Every team has loyal fans who now think their love of football and their teams qualifies them as experts who need to share their “ expertise “ on podcasts or radio now. . Add in the AI casts, all the want to be sportscasters who want to be the next Bermans, and it’s an insane amount of content on even the smallest minutiae every day. I Would add that as these Podcasts proliferate they have to try to separate themselves from all the noise out there. They have to remain in good standing with the players and the team if they want to have any form of access. When your “paycheck” depends on access and staying in good standing with the main or only organization you are covering , it is obvious that relationship will bias the coverage , and most things have a positive slant while negatives are de-emphasized or ignored. Ostroski and another former Bills lineman, John FINA ( bills LT for 10 years whose rookie year was the year of SB27) have slowly been drifting to being less critical , and are very guarded about saying any negative things in their analysis. They are critical but it’s very edited now compared to when they started podcasts and they have now been more “ around” the team and organization (fina stayed away from Buffalo until recently and just recently went back for tailgating events etc, and his relationship w the front office has been repaired) They are still enjoyable listening. It doesn’t surprise me the three you mentioned above had more positive outlooks in opinions, yet just because the 3 of them agreed , I’m not sure that means they are more correct than the poster who expressed his concerns. All three guys have financial gains related to their reporting about the Bills. All im saying is it’s fair to look at any monetary relationships podcasters snd reporters have to the subjects they are covering. Most won’t jeopardize that possible income and in this case bias is a real possibility. It just goes to show these are all subjective opinion pieces and not hard facts so it’s possible to have very different views that have some partial truths. Plus, it’s preseason and interpretations are meaningless without the proper context of knowing what players were told to do. ✌️

I think Daboll and McDermott agreed beforehand not to give Hard Knocks anything to talk about regarding the pre- and post-game handshakes. -

The dude is washed. He won't ever get back and it's clear as daylight. We need Max to heal up. Tre is soft I agree - BUT, you can scheme all you want. Tre is NOT athletic enough anymore. He can't and keep up and shouldn't be near an NFL field. So scheme away... we need Max back. -
hmm well now I could give you a few reasons. The only thing I like about him is his dog he is a nemesis. can he be OUR nemesis to other teams? Oh My Gosh Now you've said it. It's out there. OH MY

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
I find it very interesting they have already ran through almost all the season ticket holders and still have so many seats unsold. I also wonder if most, if not all, of their Canadian season ticket holders said no thanks? -
Those drought years must have been brutal

No to both. But the Tre White "issue" is real. he is very lucky Nabers wasn't playing. He won't be able to cover good WR's and it showed yesterday. He plays waaaayyy to off and laxed. We will see I guess. We need Max back and fast! Benford and Hairston are our boys. Just need Max to heal up.

If the remote people have cell phones/cell towers they can always use their hotspot to use a tablet, chromebook, etc.... pretty sure most modern phones have the hotspot option. I've used it after hurricanes with no power and everything ran just fine. If I remember right 28.8 used to be the bomb if you lucked out...

For sanity’s sake, can we separate those opposed to the forced covid shots vs those opposed to the ***** measles vaccine? The latter reminds me of a meme I saw of a little girl asking her mom about her smallpox vaccine scar on her arm and inquiring why she didn’t have one herself. Her mom’s response, “because it worked.” I think most of us can agree that multiple rounds of Covid vaccines in order to keep one’s job was incorrect in hindsight (though some of us also refuse to blame the dEeP sTaTe and some major government conspiracy). So let’s agree that one was bad. But the new regime, led by a guy I wouldn’t take advice from how to help a common cold, questioning the necessity of the measles vaccine is brain-worm “take a selfie with a dead bear in Central Park” levels of insane. Most of us can separate the two as very different things.

Big Kemp fan here.. when we got him, felt like we landed a true AFL star .. big part of the early establishment of the team..
