I agree. My philosophy about first and second round picks is that it is essential to get guys with those picks who will start for your team. Not necessarily as rookies, but who will become valuable starters, usually by the second season. When you use a high pick on a guy who doesn't start for you, you've weakened your team for several years. Beane seems to be using a different approach. He seems to be looking for the guy who is going to outperform the consensus the league has formed about the guy. That is, he takes Elam, Kincaid, and Coleman because he thinks after two or three years everyone will recognize that he should have gone in the top half of the first round. In other words, he takes a longshot bet, and I think that's a mistake. Why? Because when he loses that bet, he has weakened the team for the next five seasons. He traded up to get Elam, and he could have taken a lot of other guys who would still be on the team and contributing. I didn't particularly want Worthy, but the point about Coleman is not that Beane didn't take Worthy but that he didn't take someone who is a solid contributor in his second season, like Bishop. The time to make the longshot bets is the third round and beyond, because it's a bit of crap shoot in those rounds - you just can't be sure you're going to get a starter. So, for example, he bet on Bernard and took him higher than the league in general valued him. He won that bet, but the point isn't that he won - the point is that it wasn't a bad risk to take.

I feel like the Patriots are the most over rated team in the NFL. Healthy secondary clamps down their Wrs. Spy rush will frustrate Maye as it did Mahomes. Cook has big day and Buffalo knocks New England down a few pegs. First step of winning the division and finishing where they always do 2nd in the conference.

I still think a QB who can be systematic, accurate, and on time is the most dangerous skill set for a QB. Mobility is great, but out of structure isn't as predictable or consistent. Today's QB's are much better out of structure but very few have the consistency we have seen from the true pocket passers.

Game planning against Coleman is difficult because they have to free up 1T to deal with his speed 🤪 -
The kids were brainwashed to believe that the only pathway to their true selves was to be chemically castrated and dismembered and then used as human shields for a totalitarian movement seeking to forbid any woman from drawing a boundary between herself and any man who claimed to be woman and punish anyone who refused to falsify reality on behalf of any person claiming to have changed sex

I find it funny that you think individuals making plays doesn't count for the defense, when those players play....defense lol You should watch more football around the league. I am not saying this defense is good. Just saying its been good enough to keep us in games. We should have beaten the Texans with a competent offensive performance, but Brady had his head in his butt (as did Josh). This defense has no pass rush and its a problem.

Happy Bday, Joe. Before you got hurt in your first season I thought, man, this kid is going to be something special. You haven't disappointed. I can't believe he is 29. There is some great talent in this league at the position.

🚨#BREAKING: The man stabbed in the chest by an illegal alien on the train in Charlotte NC, Kenyon Dobie, is in critical condition with a tube in his chest, pumping blood out of his lungs. According to authorities, Dobie was the only person who stood up and told the drunk illegal to stop screaming at riders, including an elderly woman on the train. For his efforts, he was knifed in the chest. "I guess it’s better off that it happened to me and not an older person. I wasn’t trying to be a macho man, but what I won’t allow is you to attack random people for no reason, especially the elderly..."

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

"Slightly better"? Allen is one of the top three candidates for MVP despite playing with the worst receiver room in the league and having Brady in his headset, while Mahomes has a good to very good set of receivers and a HOF playcaller. Allen has by no means been perfect, but he keeps racking up the game-changing plays. I doubt there's a team in the league that wouldn't take him over Mahomes, who doesn't seem like the same player he was two years ago. -
Yeah - the issue for LA is chiefs cowboys and texans are all... essentially playoff games for both teams. They need to win at least 1 to have that broncos game matter in the context of KC winning out. There's some serious concerns about the chargers ability to block on O, and the offense is pretty stuck in the mud the last 3 weeks. Herbert average the last 3 weeks: 12/21 - 124 yards - 1 TD 1 INT - 4 sacks for -21 yards 5 carries for 32 yards. So if we assume the 5 carries are scrambles - That would be 30 plays that results in 135 yards, and 103 net yards passing. That is... Dillon Gabriel levels of production. They won 2 games like this because of some timely run plays, and takeaways from philly.

Looking at the 950 mb model for winds, it did have light winds from the East. I'm still learning more about this.

I wouldn’t think wonderful, hard-working people with families would be crazy about living next door to a wife beating, human trafficking dirt bag. I guess that’s something unique to you. Once he is finally free to walk the streets of America you should reach out and see if he’s interested in settling nearby.

I'm a bit of a sucker for a traditional pocket QB in this era of mobile playmakers. I love watching Burrow play. Just not against the Bills.... ha.

I am a fan of riding 13 personnel right up the butt of every opponent we face from here on out, all the way to the Super Bowl. Oh you're sick of that, NFL Defenses? Then here's James Cook either sweeping to the outside or stutter stepping behind one of the best lines in football for 8 to 18 yards. Also, our apologizes in advance for after those two scenarios you watch the ball sail over your head to either Palmer, Shakir, Davis or Cooks, with Shavers and Coleman ready to go at a moments notice. Choke on that you pukes. Go Bills! -
Pats have had a lot of very lucky breaks during their win streak. Dolphins game, 3 TOs by us, missed XP by Atlanta, atrocious pick 6 by Flacco in Cinci. I could see them sputtering a bit if we come up with a blueprint to beat them for their future opponents and their luck doesn't continue to hold up. I could also see them beating us by double digits but for the last number of years we've tended to turn things up late in the season so I'm hoping that trend continues.

Looks like it will be sleepy Don the next 3 years. We will be watching his mental decline as we did w Biden. With sleepy Don though, his brain was broke even before he became old with dementia.

Par for the course. He’s currently available and we are 7-1 with him. If he remains healthy the rest of the way, there’s a better than solid chance that we’ll win it all. Thats the topic…but than again, you’re you and do you-like things. Bringing the negativity and hate 24/7 -

I can’t imagine any of the professional or management blacks that I know using the word. I think it’s used by the same socioeconomic strata in both races. There are more poor, uneducated blacks than whites as a percentage. -

Right, that's what I said. But that was it. When push came to shove, we let them march right down the field, unless individual players can take it upon themselves to make ridiculous plays. The last month?!? They showed up against an ailing Steelers team. Other than that, they gave up over 30 points to the Bucs, and let Davis frickin Mills own them all day against the Texans, and then needed more Josh magic against the Bengals. Defense is a concern. There is no denying it. -
Happy birthday. Hell of a QB
