And everyone here thinks the transition from CB to S is as easy as taking a few steps towards the middle of the field.

So it should be clear we wonât get there rushing 4

What schemes? What about McDâs tenure makes you think he has schemes to get to the QB with the front 4? It hasnât happened yet, unless youâre implying that he has some double top secret ones that heâs saving for a big game? -
Two things that Josh Allen sucks at: 1. Beating Pat Mahomes in the playoffs. 2. Growing facial hair. At least heâs come close to beating Mahomes.

Bills have most of the leverage given Cook is under contract through this season.. Nobody is going to make the Le'Veon Bell mistake again and give Cook big money after sitting out a year. Recouping the $5m lost not playing this year would be very difficult in his next contract. If they don't come to a deal Cook's best option is to ball out this year and hope to parlay it into a big contract next year. Beane knows this and it's just a staring game between him and his agent at this point.

WRs converted to S / CB? đ€
Ridgewaycynic2013 replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
Going back to the late 2010s, there seemed to be a few Buffalo WRs that half the board had them as shoo-ins for Canton, while the other half of the members were crying to convert them to DB. -
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game since McDermott became the Bills HC. In his last four playoff losses, Tomlin's teams have been lost in the Wild card round to Cleveland, Kansas City, Buffalo, and Baltimore by 149-89.

I am reserving judgment until I see what Jerry Sullivan thinks, vis-Ă -vis both the NFL and the Bills. đ -
Yes, I think it was a flyer/insert to season ticket holders to renew... man did the media have a field day with that one. In fairness it was a pretty cool photo but not one you would EVER use to sell season tickets. In answer to the OP's question, I think a statue of Keon Coleman would be fitting, if redundant. đ

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
GunnerBill replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
No I don't suggest they are opposites. There is an extent to which synchronisation is dependent on the call. But my point was more in a vanilla cover 2 call that has to be right. And there were times last night it was off. -
Marv Leavy, Jimbo, Bruce Reed &Thomas. Dear I say the Juice!!!!!

Billy Jo Hobert with a playbook in his hand OR Kyle Orton sliding 2 yds short of a first down

Speaking as a fan, not as any kind of expert, I agree. McDermott has fielded high-EPA defenses, but allowing third and long completions appears to be a feature, not a bug, of his philosophy, a baked-in outcome of a philosophy that assumes, usually correctly, that the other team's offense will make a mistake at some point. So you keep the action in front of you, rushing four (ineffectually) and hoping for a dropped pass, penalty, or turnover. Playing not to lose. (Yes, yes, he's aggressive on offense.) To be fair, that approach can and does work in the regular season, at least if you have the best quarterback in NFL history on offense. But even Allen can't make up for the wheels falling off on defense year after year after year after year. I see no sign of change, either. Maybe Bosa will deliver what Miller did in those short eight weeks, but that won't be enough when the face KC in January. In short, it's Groundhog Day, again. Come January, we'll watch McDermott once again turning into a little boy in KC, clapping on his defense to another collapse. The only hope we have for our team is if Allen and the offense can in fact score more than the 33 points McDermott's defense surrenders to KC like clockwork every year. If The Bills succeed in the playoffs this year, it will be in spite of their head coach, not because of him. -

They were talking about some guy being in the process of this change for the Packers during last night's preseason game.
