  1. Past hour
  2. That Irving’s high usage may have resulted in him getting hurt, which we don’t want Cook to be…
  3. It's a tough game for tough people. Players get hurt. Travis Henry's been hurt some seasons. Saquon Barkley got hurt. Not sure what's your point?
  4. Ya I doubt that is true, and it wasn’t like Brady lit it up as a QB his 1st year..
  5. The synagogue attacker has been identified as 35 year old Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent who entered Great Britain as a minor. The crime has been labeled an act of terror. Time will tell us more. Immigration and integration are conjoined twins as issues. Neither is beneficial or harmful alone. Of course, how you define beneficial or harmful is the illuminating choice one makes during policy conversations. I am fascinated by England, Great Britain, and current events regarding immigration, integration and free speech. I am more than a little surprised by the trajectory. The Prime Minister and Home Secretary have said anti-semitism will not stand and that government will do everything it can to keep its citizens safe. Talk is of security. I am not convinced this is a security issue and not a national character issue, Time will tell. In the meantime, don’t tell me what security details are being deployed. Tell me what it means to be British. That moral courage shouldn't be controversial. That courage is scarce, though, and not just in Great Britain.
  6. If KJ Hamler could separate against starting NFL defenses, he'd still be here. He had 6 years with 3 teams to show what he could do.
  7. Censorship of what? Who is forcing anyone to listen? The word you want is hear. And, if no noise ordinance is breached, then too friggin bad. Deal. It’s America, and they can exercise their constitutional rights as they see fit. Muslims get the call to prayer, you get to whine about it, I get to make fun of you for being a snowflake, you inevitably get the chance to slander me or whatever it is that you’ll end up doing.
  8. This place is a bunch of old men making sports bra jokes about a piece of technology they don't understand. With that thing, they can tell how fast his first three steps are and track change over time. They can track how explosive he is moving laterally. The team can know, with data, when bringing him back from injury won't be a liability. Why wouldn't you use that?
  9. Well, maybe they got spoiled because it definitely worked with Beasley and to a lesser extent John Brown, but after that? Pretty much crickets. Holding up vendors at Satan’s memorabilia show perhaps?
  10. Your guy said “prayer music.” That’s a specific type of music. And, FYI, I have no doubt that there are thousands of music-based noise ordinance violations every day. Yet you are outraged about only the Muslim call to prayer. More selective, jingoistic outrage.
  11. And,
  12. I feel like you missed the point. I never said anything about the #1 seed. Of course winning games in the regular season matters. I feel like the overall Bills fanbase, passionate and starved of a title, is forced to cling to things I no longer see any value in. I would trade every buffalo player's HoF jacket, Josh's, Bruce's, Thurman's, MVPs, OJ's 2k 14 game season, 31 point offensive streaks, and all the other atta boys/consolation prizes for a superbowl victory. Nobody cares that the Broncos scored a bunch of points. They just remember the legion of Boom stomping them.
  13. The Bills have scored 41, 30, 31 and 31 points. Josh is having another MVP-caliber season. I think the passing game looks great.
  14. Wow, I just got my Cold Front jersey. I bought the less expensive one and can't believe how cheap it looks. Everything is screen-printed on and it's runs small.
  15. But they are paying taxes and into social security.
  16. I hope this is it, because right now they all seem always be a half step behind. I've never been part of the fire McDermott crowd, but we do need to get the defense right, if not, we'll continue to fall short.
  17. Beane went out and attempted to significantly rework the defensive roster. We are missing three of those pieces right now in Hoecht, Ogunjobi and Hairston, and two of our best defensive players are injured on top of that (Milano and Oliver). Yeah, I know these things happen and you have to be able to roll with the punches, but that's a significant amount of talent missing at the moment. Despite that, we've been pretty good outside of the Ravens game save the third down defense against the Fins and some shoddy tackling in the first half against the Saints. I concede you may be right and we aren't reaching our potential due to Babich, but unless McDermott is seeing something glaring on the inside, I don't think the present performance (given the currently available players) warrants placing him on the "hot seat". If the defense gets shredded by the Pats on Sunday, then maybe we can start to heat up that seat.
  18. Sure, it doesn't tell the whole story. Especially I've pointed out many times that if a team differs a lot in their defensive rank by points against compared to yards against, it warrants a further look. In this case, it points out that the Bills were opportunistic about punching the ball out or intercepting it. But those are defensive skills too, can you acknowledge that? To be that good at punching out the ball or intercepting it, means it's a skill they practice and study for. It also points out that the Bills defensive philosophy, when they have a comfortable lead which they did in something like 6 or 7 games, sometimes isn't too worried about giving up yards. Your points about 3rd down D and 1st downs given up are valid, but so are points where the D ranked in QB knockdowns and pressure percentage (10th and 13th I believe), in hurries (7th); also, in Tackles for Loss (7th). I specifically look at the first 3, because that's one of the factors that drives interceptions. Overall the view I'm trying to convey is 1) turnovers don't happen in a vacuum, they represent team effort represented by some metrics 2) I don't think it tells the whole story to focus on two metrics and say "see, the defense was really a bottom feeder". "One Mo Lewis hit away from the unemployment line" - Bart Scott I actually think if McDaniels had stayed in NE instead of taking the HC gig in Las Vegas, there was a decent chance Mac Jones developed into a decent QB. I think he had flaws, but I also think McDaniel would have refined the offense towards what he did well.
  19. belichick was about to be fired at the end of the season squandering bledsoe.
  20. Illegals are not getting benefits.
  21. I read that the more severe variety is 8-12 weeks. We're currently at week 9, if my math is right.
  22. I think they made eachother.. in the beginning BB. Made Brady because most HC don’t even keep a 6th round QB around never mind make him the backup to the franchise QB that just got a huge deal.. and well Brady made BB look amazing I’d say the last 8 years because he had trash around him so often
  23. It’s been like 8-10 weeks for an injury that was going to be 3-4. And he is wearing a brace. It would seem to me the injury was more significant not that we are owed the info it just seems worse than reported.
