Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
SoMAn replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem here is can you get an accurate assessment of value without including the QB? You can have the best tandem of WRs in the league, but if your QB is a six-foot noodle-armed player with poor field vision and minimal leadership skills, what have you really got? Josh has shown that he can make the most of a WR group minus a standout #1. So, the question should maybe be, would you rather have a QB of Josh's caliber and average WRs, or great WRs with a middle of the pack QB? The answer should be obvious. For me, the QB is the ace in the hole that teams scramble for years trying to find. After Kelly and Marino, the Bills and Dolphins looked to fill that void for decades after the HOF careers of those legends. Unfortunately, top WRs now command idiot money. The Bills are trying to balance the team, spreading out their skill throughout the squad. The good news is that Buffalo is now an attractive landing spot for players. Maybe they'll get a #1 with a FA looking at a one year prove-deal that they can parlay into bigger money. Maybe they'll find that 5th round Stefon Diggs difference maker in 2026. To answer the question honestly, in my opinion, any team's WR group is only as good as their QB. Would I love to see someone like Jefferson lined up opposite Coleman? Sure. But, not at the expense of the rest of the team. -

Fighting tooth and nail for illegal alien criminal gang banger invaders is going just swimmingly for leftists...š -
I remember during the MTV days in the early 80's the Flock of Seagulls I-RAN video was pretty cheesy.

I think that you see the relationship between Beane and McDermott as much more adversarial than it probably is. Beane and McDermott are friends and their friendship goes back to their early days together at Carolina. I also think their philosophies on team building are very similar, too. I think that the use of "McBeane" by some posters isn't far off the mark in describing how the Bills select talent. They collaborate not compete.

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Sierra Foothills replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. No one who has watched tape of both players would ever compare the two. It's one of the most bizarre and inaccurate comparisons I can recall. -

I guess it was normal for the times, but I can never imagine going to a football game wearing a suit and tie. When I was kid 70's + 80's fans didn't wear much team merchandise either. Most showed up in t-shirts, sweatshirts depending on the time of year. Just regular clothes without the team colors or logo on them. Now many fans show up wearing jerseys of their favorite players

Agreed. That's the 4:25 standalone November sweeps game, probably played the week of or the week before Thanksgiving. (I meant to quote the point about the Chiefs game potentially being on week 17 on MNF.)

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?

You arenāt a vertical threat until you actually do it in games. If all you do is catch balls underneath then you are just another possession receiver. Having the ability to do something and actually doing it are two different things. Itās why Iāve stated multiple times Brady needs to utilize Moore as a deep threat as we have enough underneath and possession type receivers. Until that happens Moore is a redundant asset. -
Completely agree. As an aside, my favorite vs in the Bible is part of this for as Jesus responds to Peter's claim that Jesus is the Son of the living God, by stating that "this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my father in heaven." In short, we are not capable, as humans, to perceive this. It must come from faith.

It was a weird gameā¦the rookie safety got burned deep in the first half, the awful offensive playā¦but once the game was over I had no fears about facing that team again.

The Texans beat us right at the end last year despite Josh playing terribly and completing 9 passes in the entire game. If we get average Josh Allen that day, not even elite Josh, then we win the game. I fancy us strongly to turn that around.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
GunnerBill replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly it is close for me as to whether I'd rather play BAL in BAL or KC in KC. KC is a mental roadblock for the Bills in the post season. But Xs and Os wise I think the Bills matchup pretty well against them. BAL is a tougher Xs and Os matchup for us. The things they do well are exactly the things we do less well. Now if it is a home game.... I'd rather play Baltimore than KC every time. But on the road I genuinely think it is mighty close and I might fancy the Bills to finally pull a tight one out in a strategic battle with KC than I do to them outpunch the Ravens on their own turf in the playoffs. -
We always have enjoyed trying to find seating Lower bowl between the 30-50 yard line. Maybe 20 -30 rows up for an ideal view and still feel relatively close. For 1:00 games at Highmark, we realized we needed to get on the opposite side of the field as the Sun though, got super burned one year lol Lately though, we have loved the 4:00 games.

Thank god we have this man to save us from the oligarchy. Just like Pope Francis, he is. -
Agreed. For the first time in a while all of the most difficult matchups are home games, and the Bills do have a legitimate HF advantage. The Texans are on the road, but I donāt think most of us really view them as a ātopā team despite their division dominance and the game last year.
