  1. Past hour
  2. Not a rookie, but really his 1st season - Gonzalez was the most impactful player on the field yesterday. He's an elite CB.
  3. Nobody. We had that with #78 but that was a long time ago.
  4. Good point about Poyer. He understands the defensive scheme extremely well. And plays with an edge to his game. He and Hyde were always great leaders on the defense.
  5. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Hoping they can give us a good game 3. This has been a disaster so far.
  6. Yeah, statistically the D did OK. But some things were maddening. Why it took so long to put a spy on Maye for example. And their tackling like Bishop’s one whiff. Only other thing I’d say for the D is it’s time to sit Tre down, we love the guy but coming back from an ACL and an Achilles is probably too much to ask. I think they’ll bounce back with a solid outing in Atlanta. Hopefully put both sides together as you indicate.
  7. It is more when his crew called those penalties and the flag fest in the first half was decidedly tilted Buffalo's way helping establish a game script which puts a team on the receiving end in a hole. It is not just NE, it is whenever I see his crew on the docket for us I cringe. Credit to NE's defense for their plan to stress the right side of pass pro and Josh's tendencies to drift right extending plays. They had that well covered, used some wide nine alignments on that side, an overload and corner blitz from that side, and a spy to close on Allen and force some mistakes. Maye did make some clutch throws, but I would not say that our db's were doing much in the way of contesting throws. The Bills used multiple defenders trying to cover Diggs, but he ran circles around them. Regardless NE has a QB who is showing he can be clutch in high leverage situations and someone they can build around.
  8. I still want to see the offensive PI called on Shakir that they conveniently forgot to show a replay of. I knew by the end of the 1st quarter the Bills weren’t winning **** The penalties called on the Patriots later in the game were irrelevant because they were already in the lead. The refs just had to keep the Bills head from getting above water. The most telling penalty was the holding call on the last kick off return (were the Bills the only one holding?) If the returner got it out to the Bills 40 then there’s actually a chance Allen could rifle a pass to someone out of bounds for 20 yards to give Prater the chance to kick a 60+ yarder. The Bills are always near the bottom in penalties. Did they just forget how to play this game ? I’m not buying it. That game was heavily swayed in the Patriots favor. They gave them every opportunity to win it. Hochuli and his father are notoriously terrible. And both never favor Buffalo.
  9. Name one guy, just one, that opposing offenses are FORCED to reckon with on the defense and gameplan for. And fair warning, if you say Ed Oliver, I will laugh audibly
  10. What a bizarro story. What type of drug(s) was Sanchez on that night.
  11. I've always been a fan of John Harbaugh if he becomes available. Just throwing a name out there. I actually don't think the bills will or should part ways with McDermott. I'm going to let this season play out before I jump to any conclusions. I think this team can put it together. They came easily go 5-1 entering the bye.
  12. One of my boys sent me that analytics post about Sanders and his rush pressures. I must admit I was surprised. Hopefully he will continue to get better and feel more comfortable in his role. And I hope he isn't seriously injured. Because you know the Bills never give out much info on our injury situation.
  13. Burrow with an O line that won’t get him killed week in and week out. What impressed me is how well the rookies did for the Pats last night we may finally have had a good draft lmao
  14. Our defense is actually horrendous. And it’s because the guy coaching it is running an incredibly predictable outdated scheme
  15. Maye played rally well, but I have a feeling any competent QB would look like that vs our D yesterday. Receivers open by 5 yards and wide open lanes to scramble to your right make the job pretty simple. When has Josh ever played against a defense that just gave it to him like that? If Josh played against McD's Defensive scheme, he'd put up 40+ by halftime.
  16. Worst part is McD plays them because they are his trusted vets. Rather see a rookie get beat all over the field than Tre ffs.
  17. Agreed. The pass was a normal pass that is caught for a first down if he’s not interfered with, The preceding moving around and scrambling, to me, is just normal Josh though. It’s okay - we are all wrong sometimes. Today is your turn.
  18. It’s pathetic. I don’t know how a Bills fan can still think that. The defense is a joke. The simplest way I can put it is this and I say it all the time ”if we aren’t turning people over, we aren’t stopping them” Thats NOT sustainable. Get STOPS. Other teams do it all the time
  19. crossing the rainbow bridge to the land of eternal tailgating. sorry to hear that man. losing a dog sucks.
  20. The defense came out with some juice and the offense looked to just be going through the motions. Honestly it would be nice to see this team put it together on both sides of the ball from the jump in the games going forward. Will that happen probably not but I'm always hopeful.
  21. Hochuli sucks. His record doing Bills games proves it. 1-6? Are you kidding? I think somebody from the league called him at. halftime and told him to stop doing what he was doing. It got better in the second half, but his calls did cost our team in the first half. We lost the game largely because we turned the ball over. And Drake Maye made some crazy plays under a lot of pressure. But the first half officiating was atrocious.
  22. What would it take to get Olave? He's the only one worth trading for
  23. disagree. Our defense is mid to bad, with maybe two to three players who'd start on other teams.
  24. I think he is calling it a desperation ball because Josh had to run around for what felt like an eternity to be able to get the pass off. The pass its self wasn't a "desperation" hope and pray ball, but the play in itself was in desperation mode scrambling to extend to find something or someplace to go with it. I still believe Allen flat out missed the right read to Samuel from a clean pocket that would have been a TD or close to a TD.
  25. I am not going to make a big deal about the Refs. Everyone knows they suck don't put yourself in a situation where a call or multiple calls can cost you the game.
  26. Agree about White and Rapp. They are terrible. In fact, I think the secondary as a whole is bottom 5 in the league. Bishop is athletic, but is always a step or two late to the party. Is constantly thinking instead of just reacting, (accept for the pick on the goal line against NO last week). Taron looks like he is aging before our eyes, and really doesn't do much in coverage any longer. And Benford has gone from a strong A type lock down corner to a C+ this season. Doesn't look like the same player. I do want to give props to Shaq Thompson. I think talent wise he is the best Bills defensive player right now. And I would put Bernard right there behind him. And a shout out to Dione Walker also. He will be the leader of our D line by next season with Ed Oliver, if Ed can ever get back on the field. I thought Josh looked fine last night. He made one bad throw on the pick. He was running his ass off, and is elusive enough to give every broken down pass play a chance. Our WR's are just lousy except for Shakir. They don't get open. Finally, kudos to Kincaid. He was a beast last night. He needs at least 10 targets per week. And a thumbs down to the coaching staff. (Except for Special teams.) The team plays with no fire and intensity. And their schemes are lousy and predictable on both sides of the ball. That starts with the coaching staff. No way are they smart enough or creative enough to get us to a Super Bowl. Coaching really does matter.
