Ed Oliver hit on 3rd down last drive. Wow
GunnerBill replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
No that is based on what I saw live at the time. Not had a chance to get to the all 22. But Dorian Williams in particular missed multiple gaps that led to big plays. Taylor Rapp missed one as well. You have to fill your gaps to get Henry moving horizontally. Then you have a chance. If you miss or are late to your gap and he gets going north to south you are in trouble. Our gap discipline was by far the biggest issue. -

Well, they stole the money, they should have to pay it back https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/08/trump-tariff-refund-trade-treasury-bessent-supreme-court.html -
I would expect Beane to try and make some moves for the defense. Despite this exciting win both he and McDermott can't be happy with the defense especially the run defense. Granted it was Baltimore, and they have one of the most complete rosters in football. Trying to tackle Jackson with how fast and elusive he can be is extremely hard. That one play where it looked like the Bills had him for a big loss and then he turns it into a big gain is an example of that. Trying to tackle Henry is like trying to tackle Godzilla. The Bills won't play an offense like this again until they face the Eagles but the issues with the defense are still there.

That's the same conclusion for every team tho. We lived it here for a long time too. It all starts and ends at the owner level. If that isnt on track then the FO and team will never be. I know Bears fans are hoping the McCaskeys sell now that Virginia passed. It's their only hope. -
Yes, it should have been a penalty for illegal contact. But they didn't call it.

Whoever left stadium early needs to….
JohnnyBuffalo replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will admit the idea of leaving early crossed my mind and even asked my son what he thought. We decided since Josh Allen was playing we might as well stay because we don’t get to see him in person very often. Thank goodness for that decision! However, I will say it again…anything but a 1pm game is just awful. Incredibly unfair to have the game start so late and I don’t judge anyone who left early. No game should be able to start after 7pm ever in my humble opinion. To heck with the West coast ~16% of the population anyway. Go Bills and thank goodness for ALL of Bills Mafia! -
Their GM plays 3d chess.

Jets always play us tough and Allen struggles against them. Time to put Baltimoe in the rear view mirror amd get ready to bring our A game again.

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
Gregg replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still can't believe Harbaugh didn't go for it on the 4th and 2 at the 38. Game on the line you put the ball in your best players hands and that is Jackson or Henry. With the way the Ravens moved the ball all night they probably convert that 4th down and win the game. Allen was on fire in the 4th quarter so the last thing he should have wanted to do is give the ball back to him. -
Inside the post game victory speech
SoonerBillsFan replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he didnt, no Allen and we get blown out of the stadium. Allen has save his but more times than I can count. Same defense making the same mistakes Sunday that they have made since he has been here. -
This is the Jets Super Bowl ever since #17 has been the Bills QB. The games at MetLife are usually tough. 5 out of the last 6 games there have been one score games. The Bills will probably win but I expect them to be in the same spot this Sunday that the Steelers were in last Sunday. Fighting like crazy to leave MetLife with a win. My pick Sabres 24 Islanders 21 in another close one in the Meadowlands.

Justin Simmons would be a great idea but it would also mean giving up on bishop. That’s a tough decision

A Thank You to the designers of TBD

Same with Chiefsplanet, not to mention quality of its content. You are absolutely right. -
It was a week 1 game. Officials get rusty, too.

I did a brief tour around PhinHeaven and Russel Street Report for some schadenfreude. However I always forget how eye bleeding their formatting is. I mean geez I remember the days of free Invision and Proboards and how do you make your forum look worse than that? Meanwhile TBD is clean looking, easy to navigate and read and has reactions. To thank you to all who keep it going.

Eligible Receivers - 2pt Coleman Non-Catch
Rochesterfan replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall
1 Million % disagree with this. Any spot challenge is very hard to win because unless they give him the 1st down - he loses the challenge. Even if they decide to move the ball 1 yard forward - if they rule him short of the 1st down - that costs us a timeout - which was way more valuable. The spot was bad - terrible in fact- but because it is spotted at the point they begin the slide - not where he touches down - I could easily see them putting the ball 1 foot short of the line and the Bills losing the timeout. Even though they would have reset the ball nearly 1+ yards closer to the sticks. The problem was they needed to be able to pick-up the 1st down anyway and they failed and also got a penalty - two strikes. -

I swear to you, I make a point of getting to a Wegmans half an hour away so I can get as big a pack of Sahlems as possible. Otherwise I'm in *shudders* Nathan's country. Also quarts of Bison French Onion but that is to be expected I think you can just stop there -

Update: you were spot on and he did not handle it well when it got real. Both QBs flashed at times but have long ways to go. The NFC North is a really interesting division this year.
