Diggs might be better than anything the Bills have currently, but he isn’t the same as he was two or three years ago. Other than that I don’t think NE has anything that special at WR. -
Beane has also traded then Bills WR1 Sammy Watkins away. Bills WR1 Stephon Diggs away without sufficient replacements. The Bills young GM Brandon Beane has clearly failed in one of the most important positions in football IMO. WR

Agreed with all points. Who is accountable and will that accountability ever come?
-
As it is the right of the Bills to use the chunk of the signing bonus he owes on next year’s roster.

Is Savage much of an outside corner? Seems more safety/nickle or dime looks. Just asking, to get hints on Benford availability. My guess is Dane gets called up if Benford is leaning more toward being out. Likely need Spector called up, and maybe Fox if Bosa is on a pitch count. -

How can we have closed borders? International trade, legal immigration and general travel abroad are always going to happen. No, seems like Trump policies are the main culprit here -
Teams with First ballot hall of Fame QBs are not the same as teams without. Teams with Rabidly Faithful fans are not the same as those with chronically under filled stadiums. The Bills’ fanbase has its own moniker-Bills Mafia. We ARE a breed apart! Heck, I even know of fans from other countries and continents who have adopted this team as their own. There are other good fan bases out there but we are right up there at the top. The teams that build right and have the right coaches absolutely deserve it more. “Chance favors the prepared mind”

Yea you really gotta take defensive stats with a grain of salt for both these teams (even more so with the pats) The schedules have just been so easy. Pats have played 7 of the 8 worst offenses in the league and 10 out of the bottom 12. The bills got chiefs and Texans instead of the pats getting the two worst offenses in the league The second best offense in total yards the pats have played is the giants and it’s not like they held the bills far below their season averages. If they shut down the burrow/chase/higgins bengals I’d be a little more worried but they got the Flacco/no chase/higgins out a half bengals -
looking back at the draft in hindsight and discussing missing on a 5th rd pick is just dumb. Every GM in the league took an L on Nacua, even Snead took Stetson Bennett, nick hampton, Warren McClendon and Davis Allen before him. He was the 20th WR taken. We took Shorter ahead of Nacua. it was a bad choice. I’m sure Beane has though, I wish I took Puka over Shorter… but I’ll never look at a rd 5-7 guy and say “we could’ve had X player l, but we took Y player instead”. The same could be said for every GM. Said player didn’t have much value according to everyone. when you hit on a day 3 pick, it’s a win for a GM. When you miss on one, join the majority He’s striking out looking every draft? 🤣 I agreed with everything you said up til then. Thats just not correct.

Not an option now but still a month in the season. We will see what he is thinking after the holidays are over and the reality that he's now a stay at home dad sinks in.

Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to TD716's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he’s very likely not coming but I’d expect him to play a game of chicken for awhile hoping we release him either way he might get antsy not wanting to retire the longer this goes on lol you never know -
He hit the waivers we put in a claim. He wanted Philly or bust and we claimed him because we had the right He does not have to report and he can retire. There is no collusion here because he was placed on the waiver wire, what he wanted did not matter, and Philly agreeing to put a claim on him does not matter, we took the chance he wanted to play for a playoff team. Yes I'm upset about it but that is the only thing he has done. He is ours if he wants to play And the kids and wife can move there and he can join them in a few months. No big deal if he decides to play for us

Brazil would be ideal - minimal time zone difference and it's right at the beginning of the season. Might as well get that game out of the way on full rest, and enjoy a longer break between weeks 1 and 2.

True, but you could say the same for almost ever player and GM in draft history, since none of them traded their entire draft to pick Tom Brady and other the other HOF players. That doesn't mean GMs are beyond criticism. I think Beane's done a good job overall given the draft position he has to work with every year, but there's no question he and his staff are deficient in their WR evaluations, to the extent that they should probably bring in new scouts and stage an intervention for Beane. He's striking out looking every draft, waiting for the perfect pitch then whiffing when he does swing.
