  2. Cook is a good RB. He is way better than D'Andre Swift. Trying to compare the two just doesn't make sense, to me at least. Their body types are different. Their style of play is different. Swift is like a little bowling ball at 5'9" and 215lbs. James Cook is 5'11" and, at best, 195lbs. Cook is lightening quick and has a burst that Swift does not. I would compare Swift more to someone like David Montgomery, and Swift is not even on his level. Yes they are different players, but Cook is a legitimate homerun threat at the RB position where Swift is not. I know I have my opinions about how he and his camp have handled situation entirely from the jump, and I still think his brother is a complete idiot, but our current team would be weaker without him. It would put more strain on Josh to carry the load if Cook were not here, more so than he already does, and that is not what we want or need at this stage in Josh's career. The hits do start to add up and take their toll. Cook is someone that other teams do have to gameplan for because he is that homerun threat. With the position not being addressed in the draft, and a trade not being made at the same time, I think that pretty much settles he will be here this year. And he better be ready to ball out if he wants to get that big contract he's looking for.
  3. Certainly, but I recall Michelle Obama was absolutely eviscerated by republicans for this same plan. You can’t have it both ways.
  4. I want to pick off Peterman. Mostly because I feel it's a realistic goal
  5. My impressions from watching: Beane is an Absolute Baller. He's just a boss and you can tell. So glad he's in our organization. It was cool to see the meetings and scouts at the combine too. I've always wondered what goes on behind closed doors. It was cool to see them quizzing the players about schemes and whatever. As a fan I never think about the intellectual side of the game. It was so cool to see the family reactions to the draft, so much joy for these young men and their families. It was really emotional and joyful. I think the Bills got some really high character individuals that will represent the organization very well. The emphasis on Defense is much needed and I loved Beane putting WGR in their place. If last year is any indication, the offense will be FINE! We could have won the SB if our defense was even remotely more competitive. I'm more confident in our team after watching this episode. Can't wait for training camp!
  6. Coleman and Palmer? We at least have Them and Shakir for next 3 years, if Coleman takes a leap this could really be a dynamic group. I mean 17 won mvp, we averaged 28.7 ppg, 2nd in league. Cooper was useless. This group should be much better I'll take elite OL over WRs, look at Cincy, Miami for example, 2 elite WRs, weak OL, no playoffs.
  7. Taylor is often injured because there’s no one on his team, but I’m having an issue with correlation/causation? The point is the position is SUPER volatile. It has been for a while. Guys like Arian Foster could lead the league in rushing one year and disappear two years later. It has happened to legitimate All-Pro talent. Dalvin, Zeke, Gurley. You can say “well those were all individual circumstances” when all those dudes fell off a cliff, but what that demonstrates to me is that running backs fall particularly victim to circumstances that end their careers in the blink of an eye. There’s a reason it’s the lowest skill position player league-wide. It’s because they are short-term investments that don’t last and are very dependent on situation as a general rule. He’s asking for Shakir money when Shakir has a FAR and I mean VERY FAR better chance of actually finishing his deal in Buffalo.
  8. Really? Diggs and Poyer are plenty? More accurately a minority of Bills players, who went that route,
  9. You say it is ridiculous amount. I don't. I say it's the top end of his market, sure. But ridiculous? Not for me. I don't think any of the other guys that renewed this offseason did. But Diggs and Poyer got new deals after playing the social media game in previous seasons.
  10. I thought Florida was going to manhandle the Leafs after Toronto once again flirted with a first round exit vs an inferior opponent. I am impressed with how they have played against Florida. The Cats look slow out there and Leafs are all over them. This series is going to get really ugly but the Leafs seem up for the fight this year. I am surprised that Matthews has been so quiet and the Leafs are still succeeding.
  11. Who? What other Bills player put out a ridiculous amount they wanted to get paid? I didn't hear about it but I don't have active accounts of all players. Seems like all the other Bills players quietly got deals done.
  12. The right answer is Fitz. I was kinda sad he didn't come back to back up Josh for one final year in 2021 to then retire a Bill. I believe Beane had a conversation with him and then Washington arrived on the scene offering an opportunity to start and obviously he was gonna take that. I started watching the Bills in 02. Fitz was easily the most fun watch of any QB we had between then and Josh. And when the team isn't good just give me entertainment. Nothing worse than a bad team trying to Jauron ball its way to 7 wins with Kelly Holcomb throwing 3 yard passes 15 times a game.
  13. Just missing the Tomm Just missing the Tommy Edwards call "From Villanova, at Pontiff, 14th of his Name, Pope Leo.
  14. Um no. This isn’t bc of tariffs. This has been the trend since last year: Canada. You voted for that.
  15. They definitely cut the tape to benefit the "overall look" of the video. For instance, I like Maxwell but from one report, he may not have been their target at #30. Tyleik Williams (#28 to Detroit) said Buffalo called him saying they were about to draft him before Detroit did. So for all we know, the talk about “we gotta get him” and “idk how long can we wait” might have been about Tyleik?? I wish we could see the hours and hours of uncut tape - would be fascinating. We only see what they want us to see.
  16. Iirc, on the old bbmb message boards there was at least one poster who advertised a fan group called "Hamdan's Honeys" 🤣

  18. Don't forget Ed Wang.
  19. That was fantastic. I cheered loudly, half because Eichel got toasted and half because I could go to bed. No clue what Jack was thinking trying to play the most explosive player in the NHL like a defenseman. He had a fighting chance if he turned his back and skated with McDavid, or if he played the body, or if he just tried to stay in front of McJesus, or if he tackled him. But instead he went fishing and his 3 helper night is a footnote on a McDavid highlight reel.
  20. Put out what? One message on social media? Plenty.
  21. He brought his notebook to the interview also, showing how much he wants to pick off Josh Allen, and the mistakes he made in the past to make sure he will.
  22. KC are the Brady era Pats every year they lose some players (since Mahomes hasn't been on his rookie deal) and every year they chug along and get at least 11-12 wins. They are the top dogs in the Conference and their division until proven otherwise (hopefully by the Bills). That's not to say that I don't think the division isn't stronger and that this could be a "vulnerable" year for KC. But dam it's just so hard to bet against them. In 2022 after they traded Hill I figured maybe their offense would struggle but they chugged along. 2023 they were a lower seed and had to go two weeks on the road and still got it done. So even in years where I think KC is maybe a little down they still find ways to be a high end team. My hope is that the Chargers and Broncos become a consistently good team in the next 3-4 years. Broncos got a rookie QB contract so they have that window and The Chargers have Herbert on a good deal and both teams are coming off good seasons with added talent due to their cap space being much cleaner and another draft class.
  23. Malaki, get ready to meet our very own JA17.
