We've seen horrible performances in certain games from Allen the past two seasons. The passing game talent is so poor that it is always hovering around the critical mass line where it could turn ugly.........not having a healthy Shakir or Kincaid or Palmer is enough to require Allen to play off schedule all day to succeed. We saw it against Tampa last weekend. The Bucs pass defense was decimated and couldn't muster a pass rush to save their lives but Allen STILL had to live off schedule to get his passing production. That doesn't fly in some situations........like on the road against the league's best defense.

Can’t argue with that when the stats say they have most yards on offense in the league @ 4200… 4th most passing yards and 1st in rushing. The OC isn’t THE issue but he is an issue. Bad play selections at crucial times and downs play a huge part. A bigger part is the turnovers. Clean football was how we get so many wins.

I've said it multiple times, and I'll keep saying it - it was completely ignorant of Beane or McDermott to think last year's offense was sustainable. Imagine after the 2017 season when we finally broke the drought, if Beane or McDermott was happy with that and just continued with that team. I don't know why they thought going into this season with the current offense was gonna work. Thinking Coleman would be become "the guy" was way too big of a risk
