Oh I saw it at the time and was screaming at Palmer through the TV. But you don't call that play with Palmer blocking. And frankly you don't sit Gabe Davis in a game where you need blocking by the WRs. Brady has direct input into that, and while Keon is a decent blocker (and blocked well yesterday), he can't get off press at all, which the Pats specialize in. Keon should've sat yesterday, Gabe should've been active, and if you're gonna call that play you call it when Gabe or Gilliam or a TE is the one responsible for that block.

I ask because Coleman was his usual self these days: no significant plays made plus a mistake (rescued by a borderline PI call). Was Davis sick? I know the flu has been going around in a serious way, and maybe he got it? He was a non-vaxxer in 2021 so I suspect he didn't get a flu shot this year. Otherwise, I don't see how he could be benched instead of Coleman. He's not great, but he gives the team more than Keon does at this point.

The current format gives all teams every incentive to play their best players until seeding is set or they are eliminated. If any change happens, add back the 2 seed bye and add another playoff team slot
