Landon Jackson had done absolutely nothing for us this year at the time he was injured. And the jury is out on Dwayne Carter. But he has been injured most of his career, and I think had only one real solid game at Houston last year. Neither guy looks to have big time potential. But time will tell. I hope Jackson recovers in time for next season's off season work. He played defense in the SEC. So the guy has to have some talent, right? Carter on the other hand played at Duke. And while their program certainly doesn't suck any longer. Playing defense there is nothing compared to the SEC. I agree about losing Hoecht and Oliver. That is problematic. But regardless of the injuries, not nearly enough good NFL defenders play for our defense at this point. Injuries or not. And the lack of high end talent at WR is problematic as well. However, getting Gabe Davis back yesterday is a definite plus. And Shavers showed a lot yesterday. That has to give him confidence. And the team and Josh confidence that he can make plays when his number is called. I think the offense can continue trending upward if we let Josh throw it all over the yard. -

Buddy there is no WAY he was ending this game without a defensive timeout. It's like a drug -
We should sign Gabe Davis to the 53

The end zone throw was extremely short and a bullet. Plus there was some fog of war going on given the scrum between Allen and Davis. That's an acceptable non-catch in my book. That throw was the definition of a heater. -
Honestly Bernard should be benched as well. Hopefully he's dealing with an injury that's making him play as poorly as he is.

There's nothing to see here at all. - teef It has now been confirmed that attempted Trump assassin Thomas Crooks used they/them pronouns, had a deep interest in furries, and was exploring gender identity. Add it to the list: - Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson had a furry obsession and lived with transgender boyfriend. - Annunciation Catholic Church shooter identified as trans - Nashville Christian shooter identified as trans - Lakewood Church shooter identified as trans - Colorado Springs shooter identified as non-binary - Denver shooter identified as trans - Aberdeen shooter identified as trans - Iowa high school shooter trans activist Radical gender ideology is pushing unstable individuals toward violence and targeting innocent people. Trans violence is an epidemic and the threat is escalating.

I think this is our weakest team since 2019. It's extremely unfortunate that it's happened in a year when the Chiefs appear likely to miss the playoffs. I think losing Hoecht was the death knell. If I were to write a script for how we get there, it would involve Benford returning to last year's form, Taron Johnson returning to form of 2-3 years ago, and Haiston taking a big step up to create a lockdown secondary. Our defensive line would have to start playing better than they have all season to shut down the run and get big time sacks. Milano would get benched for Dorian Williams who would play at an all-pro level and Bernard would return to his big play ability. Bishop would ocntinue to Ball hawk, and he'd also figure out how to read runs and shut them down before they could turn into big gainers. Allen would have to start taking what's there and making automatic reads, instead of playing 2017-2018 hero ball and throwing into coverage all the time. Cook would win the rushing title and be int he MVP discussion, and our TE's would be the bane of every team's existence. Brady would start faking the screen to shakir that would turn into broken play bombs down the sideline to Shavers and Samuel. Then I would wake up.

In a black and white world, you would be correct. In a world with nuance, that's not always the case. Just because Mike Tomlin views Rodgers as an unquestioned starter doesn't make him right. -
Shoot em the face, ya dig?

Maybe they were just having him be fully healthy for Houston. I expect him to play that whole game

Indeed. Josh was joking around about how he "felt bad" for throwing it a little too hard on the 1st or 2nd and goal dropped pass (forgot which down it was). And I'm thinking to myself, well it's not like he didn't catch one just like that a couple plays earlier 😂 That one was a laser too. Between the two, that 4th down was a MUST HAVE. No second chances on that one. -

Jalen Ramsey Ejected - Ja'Marr Chase Spitting?
zow2 replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
ESPN this morning on their show was advocating for Ja'Marr to be suspended this week. They were making such a big deal out of it and almost begging the NFL to suspend him. What a competitive disadvantage that would be?!? People are acting like he went from behind and sucker punched the dude in the face. I mean gimme a break. It's not cool, it's disgusting, but fine him $250K or something. -
Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....
Max Fischer replied to Kelly to Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you mean Hall of Famer John Stallworth? Or is there another one? -
Everybody watched them beat the Chiefs yesterday because the Bills weren't on at the same time, and it was the national game. But a lot of people here boycott Thursday Night Football, so they missed the Broncos' EPIC 10-7 win over the Raiders the week before, when Nix went 16-28, 150, 1TD, 2INTs. Against the Raiders. At home. The fact is that there are no teams without critical weaknesses that deserve being labeled a "beast" this year.

I won't say ball control but play a mistake free game. Houston has trouble scoring so don't gift them with INTs and fumbles, that might be the only way they win. -
Shaq to the Bernard's spot, Bernard to Milano's spot, Dorian to rush in and stop the run. Then you could bench Milano. (Run a 3-4 D like they did in the second half yesterday). When I suggested this to Bills customer service they laughed at me. So doubt it happens.
-
Yeah, we should have an intimidating D in this climate,,,instead they are soft as can be. On ESPN Get UP this morning the guys were laughing and clowning on the Bills run defense. They yucked it up pretty good. The one guy on set was laughing that he had to google Sean Tucker to find out who he was?! I will admit though, Baker is a terrible matchup for us. These QBs that can move around and convert 3rd downs with their legs just kill us. So we are consistent...we can't stop the conventional runs up the middle, we can't stop the Derrick Henry style downhill running to the edge, and we can't stop QB's from running and converting 3rd downs.

Regardless of your thoughts on Stroud and Rodgers, they are definitely better than Mills and Rudolph. That’s why they are unquestioned starters. -

We aren’t stopping anyone. The last thing we need is to get in a spot where on the last drive they can go down and beat us. Our only shot is to blow them out. Gotta get up 2 or 3 scores. Block it up and let Josh and cook make plays
