  1. Past hour
  2. Very long thread with all the details .
  3. What are you talking about. Beane more often than not has a top 10 defenses in terms of yards and points. In 2021 they were #1 in points and yards (top 5 in TOs too). In 2019 they were #2 and #3 in points and yards. Just wow we are now a vibe based football community.
  4. If dreadlocks on a white woman don't "align" with her race, then straighteners and wigs on African American women don't align either.
  5. The Eagles definitely watched the Bills to learn something. Vic Fangio ran the 2021 (regular season) Leslie Frazier gameplan in the Superbowl.
  6. Oh I did. They were both B+/A- players individually, extremely consistent and their partnership was absolutely A+ elite.
  7. I am curious, is there anyone here that is still on the waiting list and has not been called yet?
  8. I’m curious about the Thousand Island area. We vacationed there as a kid and it made an impression on me. We stayed at an old resort on the Canadian side with golf for the adults and ping pong with lemonade for the kids. It’s funny what sticks in your mind, but I remember the exposed pipes in the old-time hotel bath. I also remember my dad hit something in the rented boat and they were going to charge him $200 for the prop they were just going to bang straight again, but since we bought it we took that prop home and kept it on the mantle for a while. I might like to look into that for before the 2026 home opener with the wife. Any suggestions? Is it worth it? Where do you base yourself? What to see and do?
  9. I want a new Taco Pro. But the damn shock absorbing seats are a no go for my kids or anybody else that wants to sit in the back. Stupid design
  10. They still have to get through the last preseason game.
  11. On all NFL teams the defensive linemen rotate. I haven't crunched the 2024 numbers - but I did for 2023 and the Bills were right there on a par with most of the top 6 or 7 teams in the league. Our #1 guy generally plays a tiny bit less - but broadly all the good teams have at least six guys getting 40% plus.
  12. Gotta say, I'm not on your wavelength here at all. They've had a few flat games over McDermott's term. But very few. I feel that's a strength of this team, they don't always play well, but I think they play hard with very few exceptions. Generally there's one game or so a year, but that's so with pretty much all teams. Agree that he seems to leave it to the players to find motivation but NFL players don't generally make it as a career if they can't provide their own motivation. Not the bully? I mean, I guess I can see that. It's not what stands out, what stands out is Josh and the high-flying game, and very few of that type of team are though of as bullies. But if you can play with the bullies and not get run over, and I agree with you that this team generally does that. I think you're doing what needs to be done.
  13. Fantastic! We got a rotational defensive lineman out of it. Now mind you, on the Buffalo Bills literally ALL of the defensive linemen play at least some of the snaps, so it’s really not saying much.
  14. Yep. Just like military basic training. Even if the troops are doing well you don’t want them to feel comfortable.
  15. The Eagles have a lot of talent on their defense. Coaching definitely plays a part, but Beane (so far) hasn't been able to build a good defense either with the draft and FA.
  16. You seem very angry 🤣. and confused....the guy you voted in is an octogenarian yet you denigrate the "old". He's the worst liar of all times and you call me a liar. wtf was a rabid maga like you doing in uber liberal Asheville? I mean, I love the town, the funky bars and restaurants, the Biltmore, the people. but there really aren't many maga hangouts. You won't encounter many maga's in the spa at the Grove Park Inn. maybe you were escaping the Florida heat and humidity in a mountain town. Interesting how many nice mountain towns are progressive... Oh, and why should I shut up? I'm well within my rights to protest. Freedom! This is what democracy looks like.
  17. I've added Stony Brook SP to my list of state parks to investigate since it's one I haven't experienced. Here's the scoop on Stony Brook: (Stony Brook State Park).
  18. Very interesting read. Clearly the Bills value guys that can play in the box and deep covering the field and to be interchangeable. It obviously helps with disguising the defence from the QB a little more . Man we had it good with Micah and Poyer and didn’t probably realize it as much at the time . What’s also interesting
  19. Some different players, same results. Common denominator is coaching. McD, Babich, DB coach, etc. If they refuse to change, then they can coach themselves out of a job this year. Hopefully one of them watched the super bowl last year to learn something.
  20. Sanders is gonna play. And play plenty. He probably won't start... but he is gonna be in that 40-45% range I'd guess.
  21. Why we get to get punched by the Bucs next!
  22.  A slobberknocker. That's one for us old-timers.

It's an extremely hard hit, so hard that spit flies from the mouth of the guy taking the hit.

  23. The Bills lost 38-0 to the Bears Please stay focused
  24. Fair enough to stand by that opinion. Just know there are plenty who disagree. Including me. I often love his after-game speeches and plenty of others we see here and there. And I'm with the others who say have said here that emotional speeches and fire and brimstone are overrated. To repeat what has already been said, plenty of the best coaches in league history were not fire and brimstone types, nor were they close. Just finished this week reading my kid "My Side of the Mountain," and she really responded to Frightful, the peregrine in that great book.
