Maybe Beane see the BTJ's year 2 film and gets a stiffy. BTJ is probably still flashing too much talent but you never know

10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers Gameday thread

HAPPY GAMEDAY TBD! It's been a long three weeks, but I feel our luck is about to change. How can it not be, with our old friend Andy Dalton making an appearance (I didn't even know he was still in the league)? And the cavalry reinforcements have been brought in on defense—we won't even recognize this side of the field. Yep, " I got a feelin', That tonight's gonna be a good, good night." LET'S GO BUFFALO! -
Brady complex I’m laughing my ass off! Bwahaaaa!

This just doesn't make a lot of sense for Jax. I'd like to wave this off as complete BS but there's so much smoke. Jax has 13 picks in the 2026 draft but lacks a first. Huh.

seems like BB either undervalues wide receivers, isn’t great at evaluating them, or maybe both. Here’s another possibility: maybe Josh, since the Diggs trade, has had more sway in those final decisions. I’d assume 17 has a veto or at least a vote on the final options.

It's Obvious Now - He Wants a Recession

Great thread title! If it was obvious that the bad orange person wants a recession and didn’t get one (yet) is that considered a failure? Seems like that would be the case. -
Game week thread - Bills at Panthers (Game week preview on pg. 18)

A lot of things have to fall into place even if Beane pulls off a trade for a Brian Thomas and a competent safety. First, both players, along with Hairston and the PED twins, would have to work out, which is hardly a given. Second, disappointing players like Bishop and Coleman would have to develop, or at least not continue as glaring liabilities. (It would also be nice if role players like Samuel, Shavers, Ty Johnson, Knox, Codrington, Wishnowsky, and Solomon actually contributed.) Third, the chronically injured Milano and Bernard would have to stay healthy; Shaq Thompson was a nice addition, but he can't do it alone. Fourth, Brady and Babich would need to truly innovate, and I don't mean handoffs to tight ends and slight variations on the soft zone. Finally, McDermott will need to find a way to get past his deer-in-the-headlight act when he faces his mentor in the playoffs. I would recommend a psychologist. They could do it, in part because all of these things don't need to happen at once. My sense is the team, including the coaches, need a galvanizing win to create momentum and fire. I'm thinking a blowout of KC, for example. Ironically, the Ravens win, which was very much galvanizing, was exactly what the team did NOT need at the time, because it masked the feebleness in the secondary and at wide receiver and sapped the sense of urgency I hope they feel now. But I don't get a sense of urgency from them, do you? I get more of a sense that they think they just need to tweak a few things here and there. Teach Bishop how to tackle, do a better job setting the edge, shade a safety to Tre's side, stick with the run longer, throw even more jump balls to Coleman, that sort of thing. If that's their approach, they will beat the Panthers today, although not without a struggle, and KC will utterly humiliate them, not the other way around. They'll turn in a mediocre season, lose the division to the Patriots, win one playoff game (because Allen), and lose to the Colts in the divisional round. Let's hope for the urgency. -
It wasn’t my post…. maybe someone else will thank you. 😂

I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. Oliver is a huge letdown for a top 10 pick. You say he “keeps improving” which he does, but hes been in the league too long to still be waiting. He is also a huge letdown for his $24-25 million cap hit. That’s a MASSIVE contract. Both Oliver and Groot can go for an entire month or more without making a single impact play. Total inconsistency. Groot at least has a low cap hit the next year or two. But to my eye AJE generates more pressure on 1/4 the snaps. And don’t get me started on how good he is against the run, because it certainly doesn’t show, or help the team. Guys like them not producing are literally why we have struggled to win the tough games. if Oliver were Jalen Carter or Chris Jones we’d have won a SB by now. Kinkaid is a pretty good pass catching TE but he’s hardly a complete TE and he still isn’t impactful enough on a consistent basis. Is he really any better than Knox? He is used differently, he’s basically a big WR. He can’t hold a candle to old A** Kelce and for the record, I think Oliver could be a cut candidate this offseason, his contract is way too high.
