Game week thread - Chiefs at Bills (Video preview on pg. 19)
appoo replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is interesting. Bit of a switch I think as we're traveling Benford, when I think traditionally McDermott didn't do that -
And maybe, just maybe, you add better WR's not only is the run even more successful but also have a dominant passing attack when needed. Maybe that makes the team a Super Bowl team, not just a playoff team. Or should they not want better WR's because then playoffs are good enough? So tired of the we dont need WR's talk. Its ok to admit we do and just say will there have not been a lot options, but we are trying.

So much open hate for Hindus! You really nailed this one!🤦🏽🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♂️ -
I watched every game with Davis in it, just like most here. I feel like Gabe is a fairy decent upgrade from what we have, outside of Shakir and perhaps Palmer. Plus he is the deep threat we're missing. And i bet the Chiefs still have PTSD from that game. I'd put him out there Sunday. Even the potential of a deep threat can change the defensive reaction. Personally hope he has a kick ass game.

Sad! Sad! -
Some of us have been here a long time to see things like Retata, Rebecca Black's Friday, spearing contests, and the SteveStojan word filter. Beyond that there have been some funny moments around here where the horseplay made a lasting memory. What is yours? Mine is when @Gugny changed his name to FigNewtons matching another poster Fignewton - with the same icon and all - to play a joke. It was genius, especially in the shoutbox when Gug was saying outlandish things. The funniest part of this memory was that Gug did not realize he was stuck with that name for 6 months and could not change his name back. So, go ahead, whats yours?

I hear you but I think the problem is more scheme and the fact that we are missing a piece. Talent wise things are obviously not ideal but I do think that what we have can be serviceable enough if they find a credible downfield threat and Brady opens things up route wise/play design. For arguments sake if they trade for Shaheen we know where he lines up. Why not move Coleman to the slot and Shakir the Z?

QBR supposedly accounts for rushing too. ESPN doesn't make the formula public so it's hard to say for sure.

Cincy also made it to the AFCCG both times too. I’d definitely take their results over the Bills’ results with 7 playoff appearances and no Super Bowl appearance. Of course. They had terrible LT play and virtually no receivers. I’m sure someone that pays attention as much as you do is aware of that. They also beat us, again, to get to another Super Bowl.

They showed the highlights again on ESPN today of the Panthers game. When Josh got sacked twice and a few more clips. Each over head shot showed zero receiver separation from the Panthers DB's. This overhead shot was for almost 8 seconds and our WR's had not gotten any separation. If you cant get open how the hell do you expect Josh to throw the ball to a completely covered receiver. Just heave it up there and throw an INT..... That is all he is left with for options at that point. These overhead shots are damning on how bad our receivers are on this team this year and what he is forced to work with. They can not get open fast enough before the O-Line coverage breaks down. The single biggest problem with Josh is not Josh its WR1 & WR2 and WR3!!! Beane should be taken out to the wood shed and given the business for this WR room disaster. We are not beating KC this weekend with the god awful receivers that are on this team. Shakir cant get open either, so he in not exempt from this criticism either.

Curious if the 66.5 and 32.5 includes success rushing the ball or is it only measuring passing? Some of his huge plays over the past 5 years rolling out are running as we all know. This year seems like he cannot get to the edge.

Hitting the market as a UFA in 2026, $15M would have been his bottom floor.
