Mann idk…Doug Whaley was probably the worst nfl mind in the league 2013-2016 then we think he was the main factor in bringing in those three impact dbs and it wasn’t mostly McDermott? That is a scaldingly hot take im almost certain Whaley was a lame duck in that draft/free agency period and pegula wanted to keep it under wraps so prospective gms didn’t think they were walking into some kind of power struggle I feel like if Hairston and bishop don’t work out then yea lets have that discussion you were going for. Seems a bit premature though. Mcd has developed some great dbs and has had some minimal talent depth guys step in and play pretty solid when needed

Dude you're going to be eating sour grapes when we win the super bowl buddy BILLieve this roster is better than last year's

Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF

While I think people are generally overlooking Michael Hoecht - this idea that "Our upgrades at DL are suspended 6 weeks" isn't true. Especially along the Interior. T.J. Sanders and Deone Walker is where the major improvements were made. Larry Ogunjobi is an upgrade over some of the depth we had. But I don't think anyone's looking at him as the real game changer among those three additions. And like I said, I expect bigger things out of Hoecht than was thought when we signed him - especially after the impressive off-season he had. And we'll be better when he is in the lineup. But Bosa is where the major upgrade is. The only "wild card" about Bosa is whether or not he can stay healthy. And there's also Landon Jackson, who was hot and cold in the Pre-Season. All this to say we made 6 additions along the Defensive Line to improve it. We have 4 of those 6 on hand now and they're most of where the improvements are expected to come from. -
President Trump Cracking down on Crime in our Nation's Capital
B-Man replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Looking for black people in this video. Not finding them. See, in DC the worst crime is in predominantly black neighborhoods. 41% of the DC population is black. So where are all the black people in this "protest"? I'll tell you why there are so few: DC's black population is the primary beneficiary of Trump's incredibly effective crackdown on DC crime. These "protesters" are all white Democrat self-appointed "elites" who live in crime-free Northwest DC (or the DC suburbs) in their $2mm+ homes. White Democrats feel a congenital need to virtue signal, even if it means killing black people. Then they go home in their lululemon yoga pants, Allbirds loafers and Subaru Forester, where they open a $200 bottle of wine and celebrate themselves over all the "good" they did today. Sickening. Good Question. -
The KC Vs Chargers game implications for the Bills

I mean, yeah. But you know who else loses 1 - 2 games in stupid fashion every year? Nearly everyone. The Chiefs did go 15-2 last year, but in the years before that, they lost six, three, five, two, four and four. Again, pretty much everyone loses a game or two in stupid fashion. That's football. -
I won’t Google for you because undoubtedly any link I post will be too far left for you. But here’s a tidbit. And your most recent post is making me think you will defend this administration even on some really stupid things like this; perhaps not at open minded as you claim to be. This is purely a waste of money. It’s silly in every way. “A 2022 report by the Naming Commission to Congress found that efforts by the Department of Defense to change the names of all military assets that honor Confederate leaders, which would be less widespread than this initiative, would cost an estimated $62.5 million.” That is a fraction of the effort this will take; signage alone will be an insane waste of money.

The KC Vs Chargers game implications for the Bills
Thurman#1 replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think this means a whole lot more than a loss for KC. Having said that, and having seen only the highlights, the one thing that encouraged me was that KC's offense still doesn't look anything like it did three to six years ago. Still solid. Still dangerous and opportunistic. But not elite. One game is too early to say much, but if asked to take something from that one game, that's what I'm taking. The thread asks for implications after one game. The guy gave what he figured were the implications after one game. This is the ultimate in reasonable. Attacking him for posting his opinions about one game after one game, in this thread, is pretty wacky. It's what the thread asked for, what it's about. -

Franklin will be active and Jackson will be inactive, imho. Just signed Franklin to the 53 and why would they need to do that if he's not going to play STs? Unless another team was looking to poach him so the Bills had to sign him or lose him? Either way, he offers more value on the gameday roster than Jackson does right now. -
Back to the thread Please read. Re: The Department of War This is not some simple publicity stunt. Starting back in the 80s with Goldwater-Nichols and then carrying over into the "interagency" fetish post-9/11, our military became more interested in how it could look and act like the State Department then in how it could eradicate our enemies in the most violent and expeditious manner possible. Nowhere was this more evident than the first impeachment of President Trump thanks to Lieutenant Colonel Alexander “Chow Thief” Vindman. If you recall, Vindman initiated an impeachment of his Commander-in-Chief because he disagreed with the President’s lawful authority over foreign policy. More specifically, there was an “interagency” consensus that Trump allegedly ignored, so this dumpy, midwit lieutenant colonel decided he knew best and in the process tore our nation apart. However, Vindman was and is a mere symptom of far more metastasized cancer. A cancer where the leaders of our uniformed services forgot who and what they are. They are not diplomats. They are not civil service employees of some federal department. They are not politicians. They are WARRIORS—or at least they are supposed to be. Their singular purpose is to close with and destroy our nation’s enemies. The “Department of War” is a necessary and vital symbolic move that recaptures the heart of the warrior. It tells our own nation and our adversaries this: No more Vindmans. No more Milleys. No more McChrystals. No more idiotic rules of engagement that serve only to kill young American troops. No more disgraceful retreats from the Taliban. No more nation-building. No more bringing “democracy” to 8th Century tribal goons. Nope. Now when we fight, we kill and we destroy and we win and we come home. THAT IS WAR. That’s why the “Department of War” is so very, very important. .

It's cool that our game is the biggest one on the NFL's first Sunday, by a pretty wide margin. I kind of wish there were a few more interesting ones going on. The 4:00 slot has a couple, but the early games look like a snoozefest.

Figster and the West Valley Railroad Portal: Live Story
BringBackFergy replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall
Day 2 of my Captivity I’ve lost track of time. I haven’t brushed my teeth in a day. My hair is coated with dust and grit. Possibly from the overhanging vines in this hellhole they have created or from nuclear fallout so far beneath the top soil I now miss. Interestingly, these creatures have constructed an impressive tunnel system with little veggie shops, fresh grass dispensaries and pellet wholesalers. The rotted stump I sit on is comfortable for me…and the cicadas that are making their way to the surface. I feel grateful I have t been down here for seven years like them. Poor bastards Aaaand, here comes Boots. I now notice his hind leg has a scar. It runs from lower pad to upper thigh. Shaped like a capitol “F”. In fact, even Corky, Spanks and Murphy (his sidekicks) have the same scar on the same hind leg. “Are you sheep or mutated wabbits?” I ask. Boots swats my backpack and uncovers my carrots. “Ohhhh nooo you don’t” I rush to grab my only bargaining chip. These Orange veggies are better than wampum. “Go get your own at the Tunnel Store, Boots!” ”Pawwwwwk. Paaaawk!!! Shakkki shakkki grit grit” Boots yells. WabbitWords immediately translates: “Carrots Carrots. You have a huuuge tool.” “Yeah. Grit. I f$&@ing sick of grit. Can we install a ventilation system down here or what?” I grin. What happens next is something I remember Figster telling me in the Shoutbox. Boots and his three buddies gather together and bring out an effigy resembling a 60 yr old man straddling a railroad bed, pants down and raising his hands to the moon. Could this be their deity…a photo of Figster as a child? This experience has taken a toll on me. Exhaustion and anxiety. Tired from clawing gravel to make a bed down here…anxiety not knowing if Boots his three furbabies will let me venture to surface. Party down at the intersection of Septic 142 and Fencepost 9. Will report back. -

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
BillsFanForever19 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not surprising. Beane calls on everything. Even if he knows it isn't something doable. Bc you don't want to be the team looking back saying "sheesh - that's all it took? I would have done that". But as is the case most of the time and was clearly the case here, it was probably a "what are you looking for and what's he looking for?" and then an "okay, let me know if that changes, thanks for your time". Even if we could come up with that kind of money to take on Parsons' current deal and then signed him to the deal Green Bay did (which would take some Olympic level cap gymnastics) - we still would have had to beat their offer of 2 1sts (when their picks are thought to be marginally better than ours) and Kenny Clark (who is probably worth more to the Cowboys than Ed Oliver). Then if we were able to do all that, we'd be *so* up against the cap, we'd need to rely on our Draft Picks for replacements - which after this year includes 19 of our 53, 7 of which starters. And we wouldn't be picking before around Pick 60 the next two seasons. It just wasn't feasible. And that's why it was only "explored". -
you are absolutely awful at this, bud.
