FEMA cuts, MAGA cries: the hypocrisy hits home
Albwan replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just like biden, a tds unable to form coherent sentences. f'kin moron. deranged *****, stop embarrassing JA. -
He didn't work out here in Buffalo (whatever the reasons may be), but for three years, despite the rocky ride for him, he didn't complain, or try to work the media, or cause any problems in the locker room, etc. As he said, he just kept his head down and worked hard. As a Bills fan, it would be hard to see him turn it around and be successful in Dallas...but he seems to be a really good kid and I actually hope he can do just that.

Von Released, Frees Up $8.4M Cap Space
BillsFanForever19 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really can't. Unless you want to cut Solomon, which I wouldn't do for Von. We have a full stack of 5 at DE with Groot, Bosa, AJE, Jackson, and Solomon. Bosa is going to be our situational Pass Rusher that really won't exceed 50% of snaps and will probably be under that. I don't see us handing Jackson essentially a Starting role out of the gate. I see him rotating in on both sides of the line when needed to get his sea legs under him as a Rookie. In Groot, Bosa, AJE, and Jackson tho - we have a talented person cycling in on each side of the line at all times. Removing Epenesa for Von is a downgrade. And removing Solomon, of which we don't know what he could or couldn't develop into, for Von which we do at this point in his career - would be a mistake in my eyes. As it is, we'll need to find a place for Hoecht after Week 6. It's likely he'll just be slid on to the roster from an injury that occurs over the first 6 weeks. But long story short, we've got 5 guys now. Potentially 6 when Hoecht returns (if everyone remains healthy). We really don't have a place for a 6th now or potentially a 7th then. If we hadn't Drafted Jackson and signed Bosa or Hoecht - I could see a reunion. But since we did all 3 of those things, I think the Von reunion ship has sailed. Save for multiple injuries occuring mid season and him still being without a team then. Which is not something we want to have happen. -

FEMA cuts, MAGA cries: the hypocrisy hits home
Roundybout replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oops, um maybe you should just pull yourself up by your bootstraps, sweetie. Hope Hawley loses reelection by 70 points. He'll be the next Madison Cawthorne. -
Where is FEMA? The hypocrisy is staggering and lethal. MAGA doesn't need conspiracy theories about FEMA this year; the outrage will be real when their own communities are left to drown. After years of performative fury and relentless attacks on Democrats and President Biden over disaster response, Trump and his enablers have gutted FEMA just as hurricane season begins. The cuts are deep, deliberate, and dangerous. Trump has slashed FEMA's budget by over $646 million and eliminated nearly 2,000 jobs, including key leadership positions. The agency has scrapped its four-year strategic plan, axed disaster preparedness programs, and is reportedly refusing to send aid to cities like St. Louis. Communities are being left to fend for themselves - not by accident, but by design. And now? The same MAGA politicians and voters who cheered on this sabotage are suddenly panicking, demanding federal help from the very agencies their party destroyed. Stripping FEMA while climate-fueled disasters grow more frequent and more ferocious isn't just negligence. It's cruelty. It's cowardice. And it proves what we've known all along: MAGA's concern for disaster response was never about saving lives - it was always about scoring cheap political points. And now, every day Americans are the ones left to pay the price.

Democracy’s Fiery Ordeal: The War in Ukraine 🇺🇦
LDD replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Right, so I never said “I” was against peace and I’m not…thanks. Ukraine also has no power to “end” the war since they are simply DEFENDING themselves. You and the Russians want them to capitulate. Thus, your Russian talking points. Why don’t you care about the young Russians being fed to the meat grinder? I will continue to support Ukraine and their right to defend themselves and their country. I want nothing more than peace that lasts ON UKRAINE’s TERMS. You? You can continue to be on the wrong side of history with your Putin approved talking points. Btw…what is your f-in point? I don’t want try to weed it out of your discussion and risk creating another straw dawg… -
We rented the first year we were married and paid $600/month in rent. This is 40 years ago, and we felt the rent was very doable. We should have rented a place with better insulation. We were married in February, and our first electric bill was also about $600. Some lessons you learn the hard way.

Dumb comparison.

Holy schnikes, you must have a trail cam at my camp.

They played hot potato with the 109th overall.

And further, how is it relevant that rugby has a similar play? Seems odd to make rulings based on similarities to another game...

Blackberry Crown works better. Trust me.

Shakir vs. Downs last two years: Player Targets Recs Yards Y/Rec TDs 1st Downs Success Rate Catch % Downs 205 140 1,574 11.25 7 70 51.65 68.35 Shakir 145 115 1,432 13.25 6 61 63.15 81.35 Downs has 142 yards, 1 TD, and 9 first downs more than Shakir over the last two years, but that was with 60 more targets than Khalil. And it's tough to beat Shakir's Success rate and Catch percentage (plus he has the higher yards per reception). I would basically agree with GunnerBill that they are pretty similar players. Josh had more opportunities, but a worse QB. But, in the end, I would give Shakir the slight nod due to the fact that he catches everything. [And just FYI: Josh Downs was selected in the third round, pick 79 overall; Khalil Shakir was selected in the 5th round, pick 148 overall---not that that matters in a comparison of players once they're in the league, just noting the value Beane got in selecting Shakir where he did.]

Most Beloved Bills: 1 year (ok up to 2)
Sestak4ever replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bobby Burnett, his rookie season, I think 1966. Blew out his knee the following year which ended his career as a Bill. In 1966 he had 1,185 total yards. Caught 34 passes averaging over 12 yards per catch and 4 tds. Rushed for 766 yards and 4 tds. Was named AFL rookie of the year and made the AFL All Star team. -
Behind the scenes the Bills will get the pope's blessing to win the super bowl

Owners approve a change to the onside kick rule
Doc Brown replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's somewhat amusing that you didn't understand why they had to declare it. Just rip the band-aid off and do away with the kickoff. -
Hahahahahahahahaha we might not be alive by the time that happens. Who are they going to run? Kamala, Bootyjudge, AOC? 😂

I see...so lets move the kicker to the LOS with the both lines digging-in and have a tush-push
