  1. Past hour
  2. I know there is understandable concern among fans that Bass might not be ready for opening day but it seems to me if this was a real threat the Bills would be signing someone more established than this kid. They have been using the jugs machine mostly at camp, and yes, Davis a bit. Again, my expectation is the diagnosis is such that Bass will be ready before opening day.
  3. Sometimes I wonder if this team has an edge to it. That quote "change means movement, movement means friction". I have seen so many situations in life where a very contentious or nasty situation led to an extremely positive outcome longer term. I truly believe change and friction go hand and hand. Which is my concern with where we are at now. Our team is kumbaya, they know every second what to expect from McD. We are as processed as process can be. We are probably talking about winning the AFC East championship in camp. That's step one. Once we accomplish that, then we can move onto bigger goals. But at this stage we aren't a team that hasn't been to the playoffs in nearly 20 years. Which to me is who the "process" is meant for. The "process" is predictable. What isn't predictable is a guy walking in who the team doesn't know, hasn't seen. Saying you still don't have this ring and I'm not going to BS around. That's what this is about. We are going for this ring, this will be the year you win it, and anything short of that is not a success. Sure, that coach will burn out fast. But I think this team needs a lightning rod. It has no conflict, friction, and shockingly, comes up short in the most difficult moments. Failures which I think have no set up camp in players minds. Playing not to lose in those moments and not playing to win. Like the Houston Oilers with Warren Moon. These are the reasons you make a coaching change. It's not about finding somebody who is better or worse.
  4. That's a tough metric if you have a really good team. By nature you're going to win most of your games in your own division in that scenario. We have the inverse relationship with Baltimore that we do with KC. One we only beat in the playoffs, the other we only beat in the regular season. Does that make Baltimore and KC rivals of ours? I don't really think of either of them that way. Recently I'd have to say Miami is our biggest rival. They've been closest to us in our division, we've been their major impediment in the division, we've denied them the division title a couple times, we've beaten them in the playoffs. That has to really piss them off. Historically many of us don't like Miami either but on a shorter timeline it hasn't been a two-way thing. We've pretty much owned them since 1987.
  5. New Kicker-Caden Davis Ray Davis might still kick a bit vs Giants.
  6. The Allen & Knox stat is tough. Buffalo sports teams and players have so much infamy attached to them. We need a break...
  7. The Bengals game they were missing their entire starting oline on the road. a good staff finds a way to win that one
  8. Bottom Line: Terry's happy there's a new stadium and the seats are full every week. For those reasons and those reasons alone, we'll never be alleviated of the albatross called Sean McDermott.
  9. I know you are being sarcastic here, but a few years ago people thought O.J. Howard was a lock with a similar deal and he was released
  10. What was your stance on Benford?
  11. I think 2024 massively overachieving relative to expectations puts him on a 2 year window where his job is safe through next season. But I think that if playoff failures mount the Bills org will probably have the tough conversation after next season if they might just need a new voice in the locker room to get them over the hump?
  12. I too thought the Bills should have fired McDermott after 13 seconds but now that I’ve pondered everything and after seeing how bad Pegula really is watching him destroy the Sabres organization literally before my eyes I don’t think he should fire anyone on the Bills, not Beane or McDermott that’s for sure because he 100% lucked into them and after his first choice of Rex Ryan I could see a giant disaster waiting to happen.
  13. Not as much as he loves Kevin Adams!
  14. A 5th loss to the Chiefs in the playoffs should do it. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen.
  15. Thanks for those numbers. If there's a third "should've won" game, that's definitely it. So either 2 or 3 games the Bills probably should have won. 2 or 3 times they may have made it to the Super Bowl. If you asked even the most ardent Josh Allen hater how many Lombardis he'd have on his resume if he'd been to 3 Super Bowls, I bet even the harshest critics would say "at least one".
  16. Really wanted Derrick henry before Ravens got him. Henry and Allen dang....Cook contract demand would've been non-existent.
  17. I don't count the NE rivalry during the drought because it was so one sided that I seriously doubt anyone in NE was thinking about us at all. I agree with everything you said but I don't think it's a rivalry, you need it to go both ways.
  18. No crap Sherlock. Every major country had major inflation problems because we shut down the world economy. He added fuel to the fire with the awful American Rescue Plan because that's what Democrats do. Inflation was at 2.7% when he left office though. You're comparing apples to oranges.
  19. They did. His name is Bobby Babich. Bills still lost by 3. Aside from 2 seasons ago when he was HC/DC and a few rare instances where he took over play calling from Frasier during a game McD hasn't been the one calling the defense.
  20. It's weird but McD's career here reminds me a lot of young Andy Reid in Philly. Great teams, came up short year after year in the playoffs and Reid took a lot of flack for it and eventually got fired. The Eagles did win some Super Bowls but it took awhile post Reid and Reid obviously did too but it took awhile post Eagles. He makes me crazy sometimes, but I think we need to ride it out. If you say fire him I need to know who your hire is. It can't be we will see who is out there. Lord Terrence will foul that up. There needs to be a dead lock hire out there to get. Right now there is only one dead-lock hire that is both gettable and an upgrade from what we have and that, ladies and gentleman, is the Dark Lord himself.
  21. The irony didn’t escape me at the time. Karma?
  22. I love classical music. Learned to appreciate it as a child. I don't really have that many CD's of it, and I'm no expert. I just like what I like. I also learned a lot about it from watching Looney Toons. Fantasia is also my favorite Disney movie.
  23. He already did
  24. Def my fav Roots song. This beat is bonkers 🤤
  25. So if McD isn't here we can go to 3 Super Bowls in 12 years? Sign me up. Which is sort of the point of this entire conversation. This is about different, better isn't even part of the conversation. Even in the case of what most consider to be an all time HC in Andy Reid, different resulted in a Super Bowl. Sometimes you just have to move on from leadership roles. Plenty of Championship teams have come to this realization. I'm pretty sure Josh will keep the floor at a Wild Card. If so, what is the massive risk here? He's had a great run. If he can't get over the hump you need to eventually consider other options.
