  1. Past hour
  2. ahem: Television networks for decades have used their daytime shows ( soap operas and game shows) to ensure network brand preference. a person tunes in daily to their favorite soap. Which bonds them to that network in later time slots. why wouldn't Kimmel have the same effect on GMA just saying. I'm reading you quotes in reply to @SectionC3 and his position reads correct. to me.
  3. Get back in the film room and stop your damned farming!
  4. Prater has left me feeling a helluva lot more steady. The fact Prater is kicking well and Bass' job may be on the line, makes me even more nervous he'll be a headcase returning. Praters miss was how far out though? Football reference only has a range, between 40-49yds. The fact it was wildly off makes me a little more comfortable it was flukey.... hes obv been $$ in practice too, because McD didnt hesitate to bring him back out for a risky'ish kick. Came out and drilled a 47yd despite that miss. I think we have a lot to potentially lose by releasing him and trying to get him on PS when Bass comes back.... I dont feel much of a risk letting Prater keep hitting the ball. Worst case scenario, Prater crumbles, and Bass is protected on IR/getting 100% healthy. We have this kicker 'hall pass' thats only valid if we use it! Id be sick making the switch before Prater did something to make us!!! Let Prater finish out year, next year we can try the Bass thing again (absolutely wouldnt have a 6th or 7th round swing again either!)
  5. The three headed monster is something we have wished for though. When Brady came up I did think we would see more of it. But Kincaid's injury might have put a damper on that. This year the play book has more pages to flip through ! Stay Healthy Boys
  6. Shaq Thompson is a 32yr old 230lber and Dorian Williams couldn't cover a three-legged elephant with a circus tent.
  7. @ the 10:30 mark, Chris Long calls Taylor Rapp the 'Friendly Fire King' lol
  8. This. The league wants returns because they're exciting. They don't want concussions or paralyses. So this is the happy medium. It's why they changed the rules again after last year when everyone kicked it out of the EZ. If there are no returns, then why have kickoffs at all? I'm fine with the way it is now.
  9. Those Allen’s are a bunch of Melon Farmers
  10. The injury last season really slowed him down. He was out there but you could see that they had to scale back in the game plan how much they could use him due to his limitations.
  11. Get a 3rd LB on the field. The guys we have can run and cover. We do not need to constantly have Tarron Johnson on the field. The coaching staff is obsessed with him. He’s just not that good. Dudes streaking wide open across the middle and teams convert 3rd down like it’s nothing. Move him to the boundary or move him to safety. Please play more base defense. Stop getting out of the 4-3. That’s why we get absolutely run over. If we were great against the pass, fine. Id live with it. We can’t stop the pass either. Stop doing it
  12. I think it's a two fold reason. 1. Ravens. Jets. And contrary to belief...YES the Dolphins are all teams with running games that can be anywhere from very good to spectacular in a given game. Now next game against the Saints...I see less 4-3. 2. Health of Taron Johnson. He's been somewhat banged up the last few weeks. And while he's traditionally a solid run defender, using more 4-3 looks gives him less ear and tear. If he needs a break the Bills are basically saying "we like Williams/Thompson more than Ingram/Lewis"
  13. Beyond the matchup/injury stuff, I think it's mostly the cyclical nature of the game and trying to be ahead of the curve. We were at the forefront of the base nickle as teams started throwing the ball all over the place. Now, offenses are reacting by going bigger and running more. Lots of teams running 2 TE with regularity and putting more focus on the ground. This is the counter.
  14. I thought Walker got a little piece of it when I saw it live. Looks like it brushes off his arm.
  15. One of the players was talking about it (I think maybe Bernard?) and he said they have been running more of it and giving teams some different looks when they are going to heavier formations rather than staying in base nickel and it's been helping against the run. Said Taron is a semi-LB with the way he plays but said it's nice for him to get a break from having to put that type of wear and tear on his body and gives them some different opportunities on D.
  16. Just pretend we drafted Hawes and Walker in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and you’ll feel better
  17. Your kids aren’t safe. Do not take this lightly. This isn’t hyperbole. The new generation of Ds is going to be akin to the Red Guard.
  18. I look at these stats differently. This tells me that 60% of these kick-offs resulted in the opposing team starting before their 35 and 40% of them before the 30. If you look at the one that went to the 37, which is basically a wash, only 20% of the kick-offs resulted in a start past the 35. I think they should keep doing what they are doing.
  19. The Bills were on that call like a hobo on a ham sandwich and there was really nowhere to go. When you factor in the pucker factor with a free-running 330lb DT closing fast, Tua was more or less out of options by the time he even hit his drop. I haven't loved Babich's work so far this year, but I give him full credit for reading McDaniel's mail on that one.
  20. That counts. Walker was solid last night.
  21. Don't know why. Babich is dumb?
  22. Walker did for the INT.
  23. I would also question the play calling on the final drive. It's 2nd and 7, 1:56 left on the clock, Miami is out of timeouts. A first down and you win the game. Instead they call 2 unimaginative run plays up the middle to put them at 4th and 5 from the 30, with 27s on the clock. You have the league MVP, and you don't let him attempt a 5yd pass to ice the game? If Prater misses, Miami is in business.
  24. Sure, that was big. It just always felt like the Bills were finding a way. Remember without the roughing the Dolphins were down at their own 2.
  25. Agree. Think it’s a commitment to stopping the run first and foremost. Now with Milano out, got to cover that with more players.
