I am so puzzled where this McVay thing even came from…was there some crazy rumor about him leaving LA or something? So many people talk about it lol
-
And honestly it worked then because between the two we got one that worked out for us. Maybe you can say the same thing about TJ and Walker this year but doing into this years draft it was clear we needed a couple big DTs and athletic CBs. Since Beane was so confident that we can get a good DT later aka Walker …. Props to him BTW That doubling up at CB early would made a lot of sense,

LB Shaq Thompson..........what could have been......
Simon replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's been the only LB worth two nickels on this team the entire year. None of Bernard, Milano or certainly Williams would likely not have even gotten a hand on that ball. There's only one way. Work harder. -
Hairston might be fine. That doesn’t take away from the fact that two players were very highly rated and available when we picked and we passed. These are not hindsight picks. These were well known players nearing BPA at the time of our pick.

We will never win a Super Bowl with Joe Brady

But Beane is the reason Dawson Knox is out there and getting paid a massive overpaid contract -

The big question is why is McDermott being ignored. He says publically "Don't be cute". And yet calls in key situations continue to be cute. -

He is certainly not the entire problem. But he is part of it. Its not Beane calling handoffs to Dawson Knox. -
Someone said Josh may have been concussed last week when his head bounced off the turf. On the all 22 last week he was missing open receivers. This week against the Falcons he looked like a mere mortal. Last week he had plenty of time to throw. This week he did not because of the blitz. Puzzling that we did not throw slants or quick stuff -- blitz beaters. Our O scheme doesn't seem to have hot routes to beat the blitz -- just dump-offs to the RB. Injuries to our receiving corps may also have played a role.
-
And has since openly admitted he was wrong about DW. He saw him more of a 3 tech, not a 1 tech, which Bills sorely needed. He is proving a lot of analysts wrong so far.
-
After the second touchdown, Atlanta put EVERYONE in the box to stop the run…and Allen/Brady could not make them pay for doing it. I remember a time when Josh Allen would have picked up those two yards easily…

Not much to say except, maaaaaaaan, we sheeeeeeeeeeet -
No, McDermott is comparable to McDermott. He wants his defense how he wants his defense, and his Ends are going to play run first and contain rush second.

Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not dumping on him and think he could have a solid future. I only bolded the players that are starters or making an impact. He needs to earn his roster spot at this point. -
On the first play of the game, Thompson makes a great play to force a fumble by Bijan, recovered by the Bills, then wiped out by an Offside penalty that had nothing to do with the play. Then late in the 4th quarter, Penix throws an ill-advised pass that hits Thompson in the hands for what looked to be a sure pick six.....and he drops it....ouch!! In no way am I blaming him for the loss, but he sure has to be kicking himself right now.....had a chance to bail out a poor-performing Bills squad and be the hero, but it just didn't happen......

Jesus, thank god. After 1787 days I can finally go to sleep. By the way, why does his name sound like Native American porn? -
4-2 I'm 52, its been much worse. We have a bye followed by a game against Carolina. Health and reinforcements (suspensions) are on the way. Close your eyes for a second and look two weeks down the road, Is it as bad as you think?

Go ahead and look at the league scores from this week and see how many games you win scoring 14 points on offense. -
Hairston got hurt; you have no idea if he was the wrong pick yet. Bunkum. I'm stepping out of this utterly pointless thread

Coleman needs to be moved to slot receiver -
Brandon Beane - failing Josh Allen
MasterStrategist replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now Groot is comparable to Garret? Its either we have adequate talent not being utilized correctly OR our talent is subpar. I go with with the latter. McD at his job is WAY better, than ehat Beane brings us at his. What elite talent do we have again? Josh and............. -

CincyBillsFan replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's called tape and D coordinators noticed after the Bills first couple of games that outside of Allen & Cook there are no elite skill players on this team. The Bills do not have an effective boundary WR as seen when their best WR Shakir, couldn't get two feet down in bounds on that great Allen throw early in the game. Shakir is a solid slot receiver but not a deep or boundary threat. Think about that - you have an accurate QB with a howitzer who has developed touch yet the deep sideline pass is absent because the Bills have no one in their WR room that can make those catches. Take shots at Allen all you want, you have a track record of doing that, but the problem is the coach and the structure of the roster. Last year was a mirage as Allen's otherworldly play hid the defects. This year Allen hasn't been continuously elite and the Bills O is now struggling to get to 30 points. -

The d has been less bad than the o for about a month of poop football over which we are 2-2 and cratering. The d is still horrible, obv, but the o is fixable at least. A change in coaching on o might be a bigger boost, cuz Brady is terrible
