  2. Sound familiar? just replace anti semite with maga “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre
  3. oh no! He didn’t stand for *checks notes* not the American anthem! I.e. “I don’t like brown people”

  5. If they get you into the playoffs, that was a fair price to pay. Once you are IN the playoffs you have a chance to win it.
  6. Yeah, I realize that, and I know that this is myself dreaming of trading for these players. Both Baker & Sweat aren't getting any younger, and maybe they'll become disgruntled and want out of Arizona. I'm sure that Beane will be looking to find a player who can help us. He did a good job in getting Amari Cooper last year, and that was a good trade. Just have to wait and see.
  7. Guys... I appreciate that we all want the Bills to win a Super Bowl this season, but these were objectively poor long term decisions. Spending a 3rd round pick on a guy who isn't on your team the next year is rarely a good decision. It's a particularly bad one when they don't have a massive impact on the team's ultimate goal, which is to win a Super Bowl. You can all disagree with me if you like, but blowing a 3rd round pick on a guy who will only make you marginally better for one season is a poor strategy and shows no patience in teambuilding.
  8. I had Buffalo style today for lunch (the owner is from Grand Island) and it was pretty good. There are some decent places with more NY style around, I guess. Not a huge preference in style, I think the quality of the joint matters more. The one that stands out as a different food to me is Chicago deep dish. We used to go out to a place after Monday night tennis to drink beer, watch MNF and have free pizza at halftime. They put out amazing deep dish pizza, and not just because it was free. They sold by the slice and I’d go there for lunch. They sold and eventually went out of business but those were great times. Thinking of that, I took my Mom to a place here that sells deep dish. It’s not until you sit down do you learn it takes 45-50 minutes. No thanks.
  9. If people are justifying it in the 7th year they will surely justify it in the 8th 🤣
  10. knowing this, and seeing the film of the last drive from the NE 27 where we chuck 3 dumb balls to WRs in no position to catch and make a play is maddening. if we went jump w two TEs and had kinkaid run up the seem the whole middle of the d would follow him leaving the other TE wide open for a first with room to run, bang we are inside the 12 w a new set of downs. we can walk that in over the 8 downs we'd have there, and milk the clock like a bell cow.
  11. Amari Cooper made a lot of big plays last year, even though he perhaps did not give us everything we wanted…hell, the pitch back to Allen for the TD in the snow against SF alone was almost worth a third round pick…
  12. Wow. Third fewest passes attempted against the Bills, and the two teams ahead of them have played one fewer game. So, the Bills are essentially leading the league in passes attempted against. Makes sense. Bills invite you to run the ball, and teams have been doing that. And it's worked as a strategy. Bills are 4-1 doing it the way they do. Still, I can't say it gives me much confidence.
  13. I bet $10 on Pats’ moneyline, thinking the reverse jinx would work. But the +560 odds were too good and I won despite the reverse jinx. Hope I don’t get attractive odds for the Falcons this week.
  14. I'm a Buffalonian in California and we always lose when I make wings at home, but for whatever reason when I cook Filipino food (adobo or sinigang - my wife's family food) we usually win.
  15. I'd eat any of them anytime, first choice tho goes to WNY, and I prefer the family owned pizza joints over the national chains.
  16. I don’t think the injury report is all that terrible. A lot of these guys are dinged, and have an extra day rest and then just one week until the bye. I’d say we’re all pretty much trending in the right direction, especially with reinforcements on the way.
  17. You know that, and I know that. But do they know that? Remember, all trades are made by coaches and GMs who are trying keep their jobs, and not with the long-term interests of the franchise in mind. Also, the Cards are stuck with Murray for this season and next season due to his contract, so I don't think that they will go into rebuild mode until the 2027 offseason. If Ossenfort and Gannon make trades like you're proposing, it will be other guys that will get to use those draft picks because they'll be fired. This is a general point. NFL teams don't trade all their players for draft picks and prospects like NBA, NHL, and MLB teams do. There are excellent players on teams that have no chance of winning anything because every team is somewhere in the QB development cycle and thinks they are a draft away from the Super Bowl. Also, teams don't trade prospects that they just drafted for established vets.
  18. ***** music? Check. Trans ideology? Check. Pro illegal immigration? Check. Roundy interprets all of the above as racist? Check.
  19. I snuck into the equipment room right before the game and rubbed baby oil on the footballs
  20. Apologize for What exactly? So because we didn’t purposely lose the turnover battle to the Saints it caused us to lose it to the Pats? So now it’s all of the message boards fault for not agreeing that we need to just give the ball away on purpose for the fun of it? Let me explain something a little genius here: Whether we purposely lost the turnover battle to the Saints or not wouldn’t have any outcome on if we lost the turnover battle to the Patriots. We would have just given the Saints the ball on purpose, because according to you it is a “genius” idea. Those same plays in the Pats game would have still happened just like they did. So again What is anyone supposed to apologize for?
  21. I made homemade Buffalo wings and guac. I swear they've lost every time I go out of my way to cook something specifically for a game at my house. Last time I did it was the AFC championship game.
  22. I like the greasy NYC style, but also like the Buffalo style with sweeter sauce and cup charred pepperoni. I’m not a fan of thick dough or fire roasted crunchy pizza.
