Newsflash - the serious team teams in this league do get what they want day one

LB???

DE???

C???

TE???

WR???

Those are 5 positions that need to be filled. Is it too much to ask for to go after a Bart Scott and overpay a little. You get that LB in FA and draft the best DE available at #11. Good thing they spent the entire day on Coles when he is not even the answer to this team.

Hey Ralph, did you read what Fred Taylor said after the visit?? You created one heck of a winning attitude around here with your 10 time loser coach. Thanks for nothing again

Bart Scott? Are you serious? You do realize he wanted to either stay in Balt where he got a good offer, or go to the Jets where his coach from Balt is now the head coach for the Jets...get a clue before you cry about stuff that could never happpen. He got huge contract offers from the only 2 places he wanted to go, nothing we could have done would have brought him here...so complain about something we can control...

Haynesworth was grossly over paid, which is why no other teams offered nearly as much as Washington because no ones that dumb...

Actually, the fans do deserve it.

They B*tch and moan about how he is cheap, just after he cuts a guy that he paid as the highest guard in the league. They complain he doesn't spend enough, and yet he keeps the ticket prices at one of the lowest levels in the league. "Fans" have actually wished that he would die so they could get a new owner whom they believe will keep the team in buffalo, keepthe pricesthe same, but spend as much as it takes to get a championship team.

And now the bills are doomed because they didn't rush out and overpay for a FA on the only day that the league allows FA's to sign.

yeah, the top teams always throw out the big $$$ on day one.

Just look at the Redskins - those free agent contracts are why they are a top NFL team

If the Bills spent $$ like the Redskins, I'll bet they could be 8-8.

The last time he Bills spent big $ on day one, it worked out great. They gave the richest contract in franchise history to Dockery.

Im not saying the Bills needed to spend like the Skins. But there were players out there that they could have had that would have made the team better in one day. They had the cap space to do it.....they didnt. Thats all im saying.

The reason nobody is signed yet is the money reason. Ralph has to keep the tickets cheap so fans will continue to pay to see them lose.

Scott was one example...........Our LBs and DEs suck. How do you even know the Bills would never have shot at someone like that. I would rather Ralph overpay someone legit than overpay middle of the road guys that keep your talent level at 7-9 again. It's not even worth arguing....the whole front office sucks so of course FA is horrible.

This organization needs a GM for the love of God

We have major needs to fill.....players were there for the taking to help the team, we did nothing. NOTHING! Stop the dont rush into things approach. These teams that have made moves today, most likely will make some kind of push to play in January....

Clueless.

The only loser atmosphere around is the idiotic expectations that we make a bunch of major signings in the first day.

Funny thing is that these same people B word the loudest when the free agents that get brought in don't live up to the high-priced deals that always mark the first day of free agency

Aside from Haynsworth and Brown, who both will be grossly overpaid, which player could have made the team better?

Taylor? Is he that much better than Jackson?

Coles? Is another smurf WR really going to turn the Offense into a powerhouse?

Who else have the Bills missed out on? That LB from ATL who lost his job to Coy Wire?

The Bills will probably get a few 2nd teir players - Fitzpatrick and Hangartner.

With the way the cap keeps going up, there are very few top Free Agent's available.

The ones that do become available get crazy $. $ that is almost imposible to live up to - see Dockery.

Coles would be an immediate upgrade to the WR core as a #2 until Hardy can take over the role, and that will help improve the offence with a better TE

As for the others, Fitzpatrick already signed, and hangartner is coming in tommorrow and the teams supposedly very interested in him.

The problem is that fans think that there are only a couple of guys available that are the only answer to the Bills success, and that everyone else is just garbage

Then they better start drafting better...

Last year they only drafted 1 player who got significant playing time - no starters.

For a team as 'talanted' as the Bills, that was awful.

Still, their track record with Free Agents isn't any better.

i completely agree with you man. i love ralph and i wish he had another fifty years left in him to own this team. a new owner will either move the team or raise prices his first year and then you jack-ass fans that want ralph gone will wish he was here. i say they are not true fans but just true cry-babies who are cheap and dumb when it comes to sports :w00t:

give me an example in the past few years where signing somebody at midnight on the opening day of free agency has helped our cause?

jason whittle?

the only 2 guys we could have had, that signed today (got traded) were jason brown and kellen winslow.

nobody else involved in a transaction today was going to help us or come here.

don't even say haynesworth either!

Really, the serious teams get what they want on day one? So, that must mean that the Pats, Steelers, Colts, Giants, Panthers and Cardinals all got somebody on day one. Why don't you summarize all that for us?

Exactly, 'ski.

On TSW, it goes something like this...

"Dockery sucks...get rid of this bum...just cut the slacker now ferchrissakes...worst guy on the o-line...get rid of him...great, he's gone...finally the FO 'gets it' "

24 hours later...

"OMG...we coulda traded him...I can't believe how inept this FO is...the Redskins signed him and we got nothing..."

Please stop making sense. That is not allowed here.

Clearly, everything sucks. Even if the Bills do something positive, it sucks.

So yes, everything sucks. Why don't you write a general "everything sucks" message then cut and paste it over and over? It might save you some time, and you can maybe find other things to B word about as well.

the franchise is a pathetic bumbling dissaster, and the fans are being tortured

Anyone remianing optomisitc hasn't been paying attention...

Exactly

we have needs at WR, LB, DB, DE and this super intelligent group cut and release 3 members of the oline creating a hole that did not need to be created today. At least what we had was serviceable and we have cap space to wait for these decisions to be made AFTER you solve other bigger problems. Now good offensive FA's will not come here to play for another crappy Oline. Taylor or Coles cannot spend the time watching this coaching staff waste another yr
