That was a terrible play call - developed too far behind the LOS on a long down and distance, did not have a numbers advantage with blockers, and the corners were not so deep that they could not seal the edges and minimize the gain or force Shakir back into pursuit which would have been a worse outcome for us.

Not the best call at all if he was looking at catching them in a blitz and getting behind it - there are ways to do that, but I don't like any that develop that deep behind the line. Also, I don't think Vrabel sold out on the blitz on that 3rd and long. He is has been pretty good at mixing those up and Brady has been caught guessing the wrong way.
