"Culture".

He fits the culture of a division champ, and we needed more Curtis Samuel/Josh Palmer/Elijah Moore-type guys to take the next step. Wherever that step is.

Some would say that was the secret to building a sneaky elite offense

He quit at the end

That doesn’t negate or diminish what he did before that point. But YMMV and that’s fine.

The main factor in the Diggs drama was the J Brady decision.  Diggs clearly did not want J Brady - everyone eats is not what Diggs wanted.

Diggs started his internal protest during the half year J Brady was in charge - half hearted routes when the ball was not going to go to him, and taking himself out on third downs - all while not even injured (most here thought Diggs had some type of injury we would find out about - never happened).

At seasons end Diggs gave a J Brady or me ultimatum.  The FO went with J Brady.

I was travelling when this happened, saw the headlines, knew Diggs was kind of an oddball, etc. but never really read anywhere what the real deal was on this?   Is there any history on reason for Diggs release that is reasonably factual?

i defend my pukes.. we have been over and over about this topic...  we were starting to throw more to TE.. Everyone feeds mantality screwed him up.. he did not want to be here.. neither did josh.. the question is...

So everything he did before becoming disgruntled gets cancelled just like that? I disagree entirely and I will leave it at that.

On a related note on top of all that even if he wasn’t disgruntled I feel like diggs has always been a low effort run blocker.  He seems pretty bad in those areas even for the pats right now.

over the years teams would pull him off the field on running plays a pretty good amount which kinda limits Brady’s whole philosophy of passing out of run looks.  Even if Diggs fully bought in (which he likely didn’t) I don’t think he’s a very good fit in this bills offense at this stage in his career

Let’s see what Diggs does the rest of the season.

As of now, he’s on the same pace he was with us for his final two years.

Monster for the first half, role player in the second half.. disappear in the playoffs.

There was supposedly a rift behind the scenes with Diggs and Allen(possibly McDermott as well)

I don't blame Beane one bit for trading Diggs...the problem is completely neglecting replacing him with a legitimate #1 receiver since he's been gone

There really hasn't been an opportunity to acquire a legit #1 WR since he was traded.  None were available to us in the draft, and the only real ones that got traded were DK - who is grossly overpaid and would have been a bad contract and deal, and Pickens, who had more locker room and attitude issues with Steelers than Diggs had here.  So much so, that despite having no one to replace Pickens they traded him.

Then this trade deadline Beane went after some legit guys but none of them got traded at all.

WADDLE!   Beane would not give a 26 1st.  He offered a 27 1st only!  Unforgivable Beane 😡

Me, and many others were banging on the table to draft WR Kyle Williams- who went to the Pats in the 3rd, pick 69.  He runs a 4.4, was productive in college, and is averaging 28.7 yards a catch in the NFL

We were the highest bidder on Waddle - and I don't know that I would call Waddle a legit WR1.  He is best suited to be a WR2.  And all you are going off of is what is reported in the media, most of which isn't BS and inaccurate anyway.

Now I would have given up 2 firsts to get Wilson from the Jets personally, he is a bonafide stud WR1.

I still think that’s the dolphins trolling lol they still probably wouldnt have done it for a 2026 first.  Some of the other quotes that came out around that time were they and the jets were adamant that they wouldn’t trade within the division

Waddle would probably be the best WR Beane ever had.  Better than Diggs.  Better than Beasley.

No, it does not negate what he did before. And what he did before does not excuse his complete lack of professionalism when he went into full diva mode….again.

So if that’s true, Beane got played again.  Beane already got played by KC, and panicked and drafted Elam.  Beane, I thought you were a player.  Won’t be Played Again should be your Mantra.

And there was zero backup plan.  Miami really played Beane.  Beane looked crushed that he can’t make a trade.  Right now he’s looking more like Kevyn Adams than Howie Roseman.

he had his goofy mini camp thing while Dorsey was still here, allegedly upset about the season prior.

let’s not re-write history to support a new frustration

LMAO - He is not near Diggs prime level, geezus thats so over the top.  Diggs was a legit top 3 WR for his first few years here.  Waddle is a WR2 not even a WR1.

He would have been by the best WR on this team no doubt right now, and he would have helped this group.  BUT this is just over the top to claim he is better than Diggs was.  Literally no one in the NFL would say that either.  And his value is not as high as Diggs was either.

Imo waddle would have had a good chance to put up diggs #s in that offense, maybe more

Waddle is much more of a threat after the catch, better speed too
