Why should Tomlin award slay for quitting? Steelers are in the middle of a division title fight.

 

This is the eagles playing games/ tampering. And now because beane isn't allowed to tamper he loses Ingram

You act like we have the personnel of Houston lol they have 2 number 3 overall picks on the roster who are their best defensive players.. bills haven't picked that high in like 15 years 

 

McDermott is a top 5-7 HC in the world .. he's not taking a defense with seven pro bowlers and underplaying

 

And we actually are getting better as the season goes along and I have no doubt we can stop some teams

 

(Houston literally has an all pro corner they took #3... And a stud pass rusher they took #3...  McDermott doesn't have those pieces and consistently puts out top 10 NFL defenses... We don't even have one pro bowler right now)

 IMO these other teams should have done the Bills a solid given the situation and let them re-sign Ingram.

Is there a deadline for Slay to actually not report or retire?

 

Seems crazy that Buffalo do not gain a player, loses a different player and still have to pay the guy who does not report - like a triple whammy.

My guess is Beane thought he could convince Slay to come here if there was any hesitation on his part.  It was a gamble and it backfired hilariously.  Why Beane didn't tamper to make sure he wanted to come here is beyond me.

Once Steelers cut him it's not tampering he could've called the agent. He also could've called Pittsburgh. Only 2 teams put in for Slay, Eagles & Bills. Clearly the other teams got the memo & the Eagles knew he wanted to go there. Makes Beane the dumb kid here.
