Bills release Elijah Moore

Curtis Samuel is one of our worst signings ever. Over paid and can't release him

Who knows anything with Brady. Moore has better numbers than the past few years than Cooks, Hardman, Samuel etc.

I know the word trust has been thrown around a lot, specifically with the WR position.

 

1. Can you (Josh) trust the guy to win his 1 on 1 matchup, if playing against man. 

2. Can you (Josh) trust him to be in the right spot, against zone coverage.

 

 

If there are issues here, too often with one or the other, or maybe both, you have to look for a more reliable replacement.  I guess now we know what role Cooks will be filling, especially with Samuel being hurt all the time.

It's because we haven't gotten one that is good enough to make adjustments once DC's figure them out in year 1.  It's why the first year Bills go 13 wins and look amazing and 2nd year they go 11 wins and it's way too much of a struggle. It's happened three times in a row now (assuming Bills get to 11 wins which I am guessing is a good bet). If Brady gets fired or gets a HC job, we should not be surprised if the new guy coming in gets us back to 13 wins again in year 1...it's what happens in year 2 that matters to determine if we have a guy that can actually be more than a 1 year wonder.

Brandin Cooks, Vinny Testaverde, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Josh Johnson can all be used to fill a square you're stumped on with like an 85% success rate.

A bit hyperbolic, the team can get out from under his contract after this season and he was a midlevel signing. It was a bad signing but not among the worst in team history

swapping Cooks for Moore is fine.  Cooks is no slower and has better track record.   Moore has pretty much washed out plus I never realized he was that small. 

 

Who knows, maybe Cooks can do something 

 

Beane is trying.  IMHO, if Waddle wasn't in-division, he'd be on the roster right now.   A 1st round pick for Shaheed would have been just stupid.
