2026 opponents

The Bills face a daunting schedule next season.   Things change (retirements, trades and draft picks) but here is a schedule that will really test the Bills.

Home

Miami
New England
NY Jets
Kansas City
LA Chargers
Chicago
Detroit
AFC North TBD
(Pittsburgh)

Away

Miami
New England
NY Jets
Denver
Las Vegas
Green Bay
Minnesota
AFC South TBD
(Jacksonville)
NFC West TBD
(Seattle)

TBD - current standings show it may be.

I am curious.  What are the thoughts and opinions on this?

That was part of the urgency of this season. This is as easy as it gets. While things change there’s probably a 2 game difference based on degree of difficulty.

My thoughts is that every NFL team's schedule is pre-determined by an algorithm and there is nothing that anyone can do. You just play who you play.

The format is easy to understand.  Here is the site you can look at.  https://fbschedules.com/nfl-schedule/

Can we just not play Kansas City? How much do you want to bet that’s week 1 to open up new highmark.

Actually, I don't think it will be. Home opener in a new stadium, they'll pick an AFC East team. Home Opener is typically a sellout already, no matter who the opponent is.

Especially considering it's going to be Thursday night when the team receives their rings.

I should stop drinking.

If you think this is tough go look at the Patriots next year....

If the Patriots win the AFC East they have a very fun 2026 to look forward to:

At Bears

At Lions

At Chiefs

At Chargers

At #1 AFC South (Indy)

At #1 NFC West (Rams)

That's brutal on the road

home....

Broncos

Raiders

Packers

Vikings

AFC North #1 (Ravens)

even if they get the second and we somehow beat them we replace: Seahawks, Steelers, and Jags...

There set in stone AWAY games are brutal.

edit:

The Bills on the other hand:

At Broncos, Packers, Raiders, Vikings, AFC South (Jags), NFC West (Seahawks)
Home: Chiefs, Chargers, Bears, Lions, AFC North (Steelers)

They're fudged

It's funny how people think they know how teams are going to play next year.

I mean, everyone knew in week 13 of the 2024 season that New England, Indy, and Denver would have commanding leads in their respective divisions one year later in 2025, right?

The entire season will be sold out well in advance of the opener. Almost all will be season ticket holders.

There are like 2-4 good teams on this whole schedule : KC & Detroit. Maybe NE and Denver aren't one-year-wonders, but I'm not a buyer yet. I could absolutely see us going 15-2 against that schedule if we play like we have most of the last 7 years. There are some real dumpster fires in that schedule.

For sure. But 2026 is definitely a harder path than 2025 should have been.
