Get ready for slop fest field Sunday.  This past weekend was 6 high school games.  Pitt vs Miami Saturday.  It’s been rainy down here the last couple days and that field is usually a disaster.

They just replaced the full field sod a month ago so that’s pretty sad.

I don’t think they actually need to run the table to make the playoffs but it’s close and this Pitts game is one of those musts imo

division is out of reach imo. Even running the table, I don’t see the Pats dropping what will likely be needing to be 4 games, not 3 that some are suggesting. We are 3 games behind but tying them doesn’t give us the division. They currently hold other tie breakers such common games.

as for needing to dump Brady, that’s not needed but Brady needs to come with a new scheme of plays. We also need Kincaid back. That is Josh safety blanket. The offense is night and day with him out vs in. If they get rid of Brady then end of season is better at this point.

You are wrong on both bolded statements.

Second one is factually wrong, if we run the table and Pats lose 3 games we are 13-4 and they are 12-5. Tiebreakers won't matter.

First one is also wrong depending on definition of "close" :) NYT says that we can lose any 2 games and have 99%+ chance to get in, so there is room for 2 errors. Even if we go 3-3 we have 60-70% to get in depending on which games we lose.

On the first one, yeah you are right. Its so late in the season that I keep forgetting they haven't had a bye yet and I looked at the win column but not the loss column. Thats my bad.

Second one, Im not going to give you. IDGAF if some simulator says we can lose any 2 games and still have 99% chance to get in. We aren't even 99% chance now. Losing to Pitts gives them a tie breaker. Just this week alone, if we lost to Pitts and the Texans win, we would be pushed to 9th in the playoff picture. Yeah yeah, teams play other teams this and that, but overcoming 2 places in the race isnt easy to do in 5 games. Much less if we lost another one. They'd be relying on specific losses from other teams. No f'in way that puts us 99% chance to get in.

I don't know if he will help us or not but this guy is absolutely a professional.

"Can't pass up the opportunity to play with Josh." Love that.

I can’t wait for Brady to run him deep as a decoy on the first series and then never use him again.

Did I hear right that McDermott is “glad to be in the hunt”? Is that the banner we hang in the field house these days?

Goes right along with his "I love these guys" when asked if he had a championship roster. Read between the croutons in the word salad.

I think there’s this idea that the eagles are unbeatable and some people have penciled that in as a sure loss further reducing the wiggle room but they’re kinda the nfc bills right now and look like sh*t half the time haha

Very impressive answers and attitude. I like this guy. I hope he produces on the field because if he does, our offense will look a lot different. Especially when Kincaid comes back

I hate listening to coach interviews. They all say the same thing. He cant say I don't believe in Brady here in week 13, yet every football show you watch points out our route trees are bad, our play designs are predictable and our WR can not get open. Other teams QBs get rid of the ball quick when this happens. Josh is still trying to extend plays. Hoping for some magic on Sunday. We usually do well in do-or-die in season games.

You’re saying you don't care about the facts. A "simulator" is a tool that runs thousands of simulations of the remaining games. When it shows that we have a 99%+ chance of making it if we finish 11-6, and you, based solely on your feelings, dismiss that by saying it can't be true because we might be 9th if we lose this week, I honestly don’t know what else to say.

The whole point is that if we finish 11-6, it’s incredibly difficult to find a scenario where six teams finish ahead of us. The teams in the hunt also play each other. The Texans and Steelers (if we lose to them) could have tiebreakers against us, but if those teams end up 11-6 or better, other teams like the Jaguars, Chiefs, Ravens, or Chargers will miss the playoffs. It’s really that simple.

Take the Steelers as an example: they’re 6-5 right now. Even if we lose to them, for the tiebreaker to matter, they would need to get to 11-6. To do that, they’d likely have to beat the Ravens twice. But if that happens, the Ravens will have 7 losses and fall behind us. The ONLY scenario in which both the Steelers and Ravens finish ahead of us with an 11-6 record is if they split their matchups and both win all their remaining games, with the Steelers finishing 2nd in their division. So, the Steelers are essentially irrelevant to this discussion (assuming we end up 11-6, which is the premise of this discussion).

An 11-6 record gets us in—unless something truly miraculous happens, no matter what you think.
