The Bills have had more than their share of players that seem to have season tickets to the injury report and make you wonder if they are doing enough to earn that check. I do balance that tired injury-ridden Bills sentiment with accepting the tough breaks like we had with someone like Hoecht who did not want the cart, wanted to cheer the team on, and you could just feel how much he genuinely wanted to be out there. Jerome007 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago He seemed very promising as a KR in the first games. IDK what happened. But if he gets the same blocks the unit did last game, he'll score a TD! What a job by the special teams return team last Sunday. Quote

Steroids tend to allow you to easily overtrain and over work muscle tendons, but it's common in athletes who lift a lot. Quote

No argument here and will concede that is a preventable thing in an athletes' control. Quote

Tom and Ray Magliozzi referred to it as 'testosterone poisoning'. 😁 Quote

Steroids tend to allow you to easily overtrain and over work muscle tendons, but it's common in athletes who lift a lot. Typically the issue is steroids allow the muscles to unnaturally grow stronger than what the tendons/ligaments can support which is one of the checks/balances in the body naturally. When you lift weights, the body will never naturally allow muscles to get bigger than what can be supported by the tendons/ligaments. Tendons and ligaments increase in strength much slower than the muscles can because of the relative lack of bloodflow to them. That's why after the initial "jump" observed when starting out lifting weights, the muscle growth tends to slow down, to ensure the tendons/ligaments can keep pace. When this gets overridden by steroids, the tendons/ligaments are no longer able to withstand the additional forces placed on them by stronger contractions than what they can handle and they essentially snap. Augie Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago You have limits for the active roster, practice squad, etc. There is no limit of guys who are let go but still have an active lease on a property in WNY convenient for Bills players. It makes those frequent returns so much easier. Quote
