JohnNord Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago To be honest, Buffalo is playing a second string QB. They really should take care of business. I know Houston has a good defense and some good skill players but there are no excuses Quote
Nihilarian Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago At this point, I think the division is no longer available as the Patriots have a much easier schedule. They have a 4th-place schedule this year, and Buffalo faced a first-place schedule. At this point, I hope they can make the playoffs. Texans, Steelers, Bengals (with Joe Burrow back), Patriots, Browns, Eagles, Jets. At 7-3 with 6 games to go, and 4 of the 6 look tough. 14-3 would be sweet, but with the way the current defense is playing? Patriots play, Bengals (Ja'Mar Chase suspended), NY Giants, Bills, Ravens, NY Jets, Dolphins. currently 9-2. With only 2 tough games, the Ravens are tough because they will play in Baltimore. 13-4 looks likely. Every game will be a huge test, considering how the defense can't stop the run. Now I don't get how they stopped Carolina, though. Quote

Avoid being super predictable and getting behind the sticks, and if they speed rush up field they're going to mix in blitzes and spies to stop allen from buying lots of time. Be decisive, and dictate. Texans have a good defense. Definitely agree about not being super predictable on offense. This is the kind of game we will know if we have the right OC or not. Quote

Mexico City is one of the coolest and most cosmopolitan cities I have ever been to. Amazing museums, food, green spaces, and neighborhoods. Highly recommended. The government has control there too (unlike many parts of Mexico) and the murder rate is 10 per 100,000. It is lower than Houston and Kansas City. I spent a week there a couple of years ago and plan to go back again soon. 2 1 Quote

Yes, they're chasing us for Wild Card, but then I looked at other Wild Card teams in the standings. We have a two-game lead on them, Chiefs and Ravens. We already own tie-breakers with the Chiefs and Ravens. With those tie-breakers, a win this Thurs. effectively gives us a three-game cushion. More so, should we end up with a three or four way tie, we'd still own the tie-breaker, as we would have beaten all of them head-to-head. Now, don't get me wrong, I still want the division, and haven't given up on that, but a win Thurs. would give us a lot of security for at least making the playoffs. There’s a very good chance if we end up being the top wildcard team we’ll go to Baltimore for the first playoff game which isn’t good Quote
Dr.Sack Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I’ll take a win over the Texans and Steelers over a win over the Eagles. 1 Quote

Met the guy, he dang sure wanted to project a presence. Standing proudly in his giant cowboy hat, a big belly that stretched the buttons and material to the limit of his cowboy shirt, which hung over a giant oversized belt buckle that was barely holding up his duds. Along with sharp looking boots. The total Texas package. I introduced myself, he asks where I’m from, I said New York. He then went off about “got dam Yankees” taking jobs away from our boys in Texas and he refused to take delivery. So I left. I get back to the shop, they already know. He called, said if they want his business they better not send a Yankee. They told him he’s the only delivery driver they had and that he can go elsewhere with his business but he owes them whatever the order was. I went back the next day, someone else met me, but he was there a bit away giving me the stink eye. I nodded, he walked away. 2 1 Quote

I've been there four times and it is just an awesome city. Incredible museums, parks... neighborhoods that look like Paris but with the best tacos you've had in your life. Yes, you have to be careful at night, but that's true of a lot of cities--I once tried to walk somewhere in downtown Dallas at 11pm and it was a lot scarier than Mexico City. Don't be so timid and you'll discover a beautiful place. P.S. I don't know if I'd say this game is huge, and I have a feeling the Bills are on a run now, and will continue by taking care of Davis Mills. 2 Quote

The 5 seed is the most likely, but still holding out hopes the two losses of the Pats to us and to the Ravens the following week could tip the scale possibly for the AFCE, but we would have to run the table. Our road is harder as after the #1 defense in the Texans, then down the road the Pats, and the Eagles are our obstacles. I’m less worried about the Bengals, Jets, Browns, and the Steelers. Quote

So unbiased is their reporting and so high their credibility that all the major networks from FOX to MSNBC use the AP's election night reporting of results. If you get your news from only one source (you shouldn't), the AP is a great choice. Quote

Every game there has been a nightmare Yeah I was just thinking that. It goes way back w this team. Last game we played them was ugly too. I hope Brady keeps trending in the direction of hammering Ty Johnson and Ray Davis more frequently, you can punish these teams w the speed edge rushers by lining up and hammering them. We have the Oline to do it, we need the OC to believe in it. It's needs to be a play action pass type game. Orlovsky keeps harping on this, confused as to why Brady do this more often. Josh had just one completion under pressure last time we played Hunter n Williams. Quote

If you get your news from only one source (you shouldn't), the AP is a great choice. Kinda not my point at all. The crime data is easily and readily available. Regardless, Mexico City is NOT Sinaloa or Juarez. It is safer than many major American cities DESPITE having problems with crime. No one is denying that. Otherwise, it's a vast, diverse, and culturally rich megalopolis that is one of the world's great cities. If one's response to that true statement is to post an AP article (a brief and generic piece about protest that includes an anecdote about a killing in Michoacan, not Mexico City and makes a thin point about Gen Z) after questioning why anyone would ever want to go to Mexico, my hunch is that the person doesn't know a ton about the place. And trust me, I know a lot about Mexico City and read a lot of news sources (it's basically a core part of my job). But as @Einstein said, back to football. Edited 1 hour ago by dave mcbride 1 Quote
