So glad we’re not the Buffalo New Yorkers. Texans are not the old Oilers. That's the Titans. Texans were a new organization. 3 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) This is going to be a physical football game. Bills have a higher ceiling tho. Going to be tough Edited 2 hours ago by Kelly to Allen Quote
Rockinon Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I really think the Bills go right back to running the ball. Yes, the Texans have a good DLine, but the Bills have a good OLine. It's strength on strength. The Texans are aggressive and a good way to neutralize an aggressive front is to run right at them. A defense like this is used to doing the smacking around, but we have an offense that is built to smack right back. It's not necessarily ball control either because an over aggressive D can give up big plays. I think the Bills run at them then take a few shots too. But that may not even be necessary if Cook goes off. Quote
st pete gogolak Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This was the game I thought was a loss going into the season. Tough defense, short week, on the road. Houston’s D gave Allen fits last year but they give every QB fits. If our D doesn’t show up, we lose. Quote

TheWei44 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The good thing about it being a short week is that it's a short week for them too. I realize we have to travel, but it's not like they'll have tons of extra time to prepare. Punch 'em in the mouth and never look back! In all seriousness, I do think a relatively conservative run-first, mistake free offense makes sense to start. But if they commit to stopping the run, be ready to pivot quickly to a pass happy attack with rhythm and mostly quick passes. Quote

hondo in seattle Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The only thing I'm confident about is that our run D will struggle. Our pass D has good and bad days, like our entire offense. Not sure which Bills team to expect. Quote

Yeah, this is kind of what the offense has needed to do all along but in some games waited until the 4th qtr to try going back to the pass and it was too late. Last week there were actually 4 WRs in a spread offense for much of the game. Maybe switching things up would help. I have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to go right back to 12 and 13 personnel. And only go 4 wide occasionally. I could be way off here. They may just continue slinging it. Kincaid is likely out so not really sure. My fear in this game is that this is a D that is the best in the league at pressuring the QB. The Bills offense can be a load if they can find a way to run and pass. That will take the steam out of even the best defense. Don't want to let their D make us one dimensional. Looks like Texans is number one in overall defense. Trap game, too. Josh Allen gave it his all this Sunday. Does he have anything in the tank for a quick turnaround? And as usual, our defense will not step up to get crucial 3rd down stops. 1 Quote
