the answer to the question is easy. “Hey I’m just one guy on this team. I don’t make roster decisions.”

he can talk to Coleman privately and we are talking about a great team win this week and not this mess

That wasn't the question asked.

Dion wasn't asked if he made roster decisions.  He didn't say anything about roster decisions.

He was asked if he talked to Keon about his benching, and he answered.
It would have been weird and an extreme "does not follow" for Dion to say what you suggest.

I gave you a freakin' transcript and a link.  It literally could not be made any easier for you to check yourself.

For goodness sake, stop your crusading about Dion and watch the actual video/read the transcript before you post another word on this.

Not a surprise.  Given the short week and Buffalo's offensive success versus the buccaneers, the Bills would be foolish to change things up.  After the Houston game, the long week will give the Bills a chance to assess Coleman's short-term future and give Coleman a chance to redeem himself at least in a practice setting.

Anyone played competitive team sports know this. Your teammates know exactly what you are doing and what you should do. They also know your effort from practice, workout, on game day. In an organization with good culture, everyone is accountable for contribution to winning. Guys get beat in games for sure, but players know there are different level of talent in sports and you are not getting top talent everywhere on one team. What gets people like Dawkins upset is losing due to the lack of effort from someone, on the practice/game field, unless you are on a team with bad culture and guys just care about their own stats only.

It’s an award he made lol. Yeah he wins it.

im just offering the perspective on the other side here. Coleman was on that sideline and watched the game. He saw Dawkins jump Offside twice. And then take the mic and rip HIM for making a mistake!

Before you say another word, you really need to learn the difference between Offside and false start, OK?

Let me help you:

Quote

Section 4 - Action At Or Before The Snap

ARTICLE 1. BALL READY FOR PLAY

After the neutral zone has been established (ball is made or declared ready for play), an offensive player may not make a false start, a defensive player may not encroach (initiate contact with a member of the offensive team) or commit a neutral zone infraction, and no player of either team may be offside when the ball is put in play.

ARTICLE 2. FALSE START

It is a false start if the ball has been placed ready for play, and, prior to the snap, an offensive player who has assumed a set position moves in such a way as to simulate the start of a play, or if an offensive player who is in motion makes a sudden movement toward the line of scrimmage. Any quick abrupt movement by a single offensive player, or by several offensive players in unison, which simulates the start of the snap, is a false start, and the official shall blow the whistle immediately, whether the snap is made or there is a reaction by the defense. For actions by a defensive player who attempts to cause an offensive player to commit a false start, see 4-6-5-d.

Quote

Article 5. Offside

A player is offside when any part of his body is in or beyond the neutral zone or beyond a restraining line for an onside kick when the ball is put in play.

Penalty: For offside: Loss of five yards.

Your perspective needs perspective.  Coleman is a young player who has done NOTHING in the league as of yet.  Dawkins is a 4x pro bowler who has been protecting Allen's blind side for 9 years, missing like 2 games in that time.  He is justly regarded as a team leader.

For a young player who has done NOTHING as yet in the league to "take the mic and rip HIM for making a mistake" when Dawkins was playing 56 snaps in the game while Coleman was benched for something 100% in his control, that happened before he even walked into the building, would be the tone-deafest of tone deaf things.

Honestly, you joined in July of 2023.  If you're related to Coleman, or a friend of Coleman, or even just a fan of Coleman, know that this finger-pointy attitude of yours is not only unbecoming, it's Part of His Problem.  If you're just a troll, OK then Peace Out.

Dion was doing exactly what he should be doing as a leader. Clearly the soft approach to Keon wasn't working. They changed things up a bit with some mild public criticism.

And emphasize mild. Dion's message was for more empathetic and encouraging than critiquing.

Keon is 21, and clearly hasn't matured yet.  Maybe this is the moment that drives him forward to give 100% every snap in practice and games, and even if you're the offball WR, to play hard

Then just like Coleman, you'll take the consequences.

If you can't even acknowledge that you're way off in your interpretation given a transcript, you're either Coleman's mommy or a troll.

The question I have now is whether he boards the plane to Houston.  Personally, I’d leave him home. McD did it to Ray Ray years ago.  Keon needs it too.

Ray Ray McCloud?  As a disciplinary thing?  I don't remember this.

Looping back, I thought that too much was being made of Keon dancing on the sideline, but I finally listened to Ocho and Shannon Sharpe on the topic.  Ocho pretty clearly didn't want to say anything but his reaction to Keon dancing was "something ain't right."  Since that's two guys who've been there at a high level, I got to defer.

With Hardman and Samuel out tomorrow, makes it likely Keon is activate, right?

Not necessarily so, if they call up Gabe again.

I do remember him not being your #1 WR, good call, and I think it is fair that at the moment he hasn't looked like a top 5 pick.

On the flipside I also think the level of his struggles have been slightyly exaggerated too. He is averaging almost 55 yards per game and has 12 NFL touchdowns in 26 starts and without stellar QB play. People attaching words like "bust" to him are over the top IMO. Not saying you are doing that but some are. It is just that the expectations were sky high.

If that class was re-drafted by the NFL today he'd still go around the top half of round 1 I think. But yea, probably outside the top 10.

No I don't think he's a complete bust

It's just that when you're getting picked where he gets picked your expecting kind of expecting a lot

Expectations are sky high

im not a friend/family of Coleman. Nothing here is personal, for me anyway.

I actually believe drafting him was a mistake and they should’ve held onto Diggs.

I just simply disagree with you on this and you are the one having trouble with that

Ray Ray fumbled and was left home for a trip (to Atlanta, maybe?)

Looks like we are going to see him tomorrow so hopefully he steps up.

It is very likely he plays tomorrow as McD won't sit him for two games cos of a missed team meeting.

He has to play well in multiple games to build up the confidence of his coaches, team mates and fans . A bad outcome would be that he produces tomorrow and goes back to his casual ways.

We will see what happens.

I could see them go with 5.

I'm sure McDermott saw the video of Coleman dancing and probably not happy.  I heard that Coleman had a problem in college with being on time to meetings as well.

I wonder if Coleman has ADHD, which can create issues for people being on time.  He does not strike me as lazy or indifferent. I don’t think an indifferent player would be a contested-catch guy or catch that TD vs. Balt.

What Dion said (or did not say) is factual.

The difference between false start and Offside is factual.

The complete inappropriateness of your suggestion that a 2nd year player who was just a healthy scratch for disciplinary reasons, taking the mic to call out an 9 year vet for a couple of pre-snap penalties (out of 56 snaps) is really not reasonable matter for disagreement.

Diagnosis complete: you're a troll.  *plonk*

I have pretty severe ADHD.  For instance, I was getting ready to make a work call but then started looking up how fast monkey grass spreads and then new underwear that fits a little tighter.

I'm always on time to work.  Social situations, hit or miss.  But when you have a job to do, you show up on time.

It's more about maturity.

Makes it even worse they drafted him and he's made no progress. His actions appear to be that of a meathead.
