I think there were several people that wanted to double dip early on wide receiver. It was absolutely no reason not to. 

I don't know that worthy would have been the best fit for our offense, in McConkey is a slot guy would have taken reps from Shakir. But having both of those two on this team over Coleman would be a vat improvement 

 

I was thinking more like getting Troy Franklin later, and even ad Mitchell at some point since he fell so far

They do and this is the effort they get from him, but to your point, I think they do use him wrong. He's not a boundary receiver. He's a big slot guy and nobody is convincing me otherwise.

The Allen thing is so overblown. If he helped make the pick it's because Beane really wanted to pick Coleman. If he didn't want to and didn't like him and did because Josh liked him then he needed to be the adult in the room.

I’ve been a Coleman supporter through and through. But if this stuff is true, they need to sit his a__ completely! It’s one thing to be a distraction and produce. It’s another when you’re not doing anything, and have the audacity to half-a__ it as well! But let’s be real, McConkey or Worthy wouldn’t have produced in this offense. Worthy would’ve been used in jet screens only, while McConkey would’ve looked worse than Samuel. No receiver in the league that’s good wants to play in Brady’s scheme, or lack there of!

I disagree.  If you look at all the QB's that have won a Super Bowl I would guess that the vast majority of them are/were Company Men starting with Tom Brady & Patrick Mahomes.  Brady didn't push back on Belicheck until he was well over 40 years old and had won 6 Super Bowls.

Tom Brady had zero problem screaming at players on the sideline who were not pulling their 1/11

Tom Brady during his six Super bowl runs with the Patriots was constantly screaming at other players and other coaches... Josh is the most talented player in the NFL and my favorite we don't see that

If Allen said he really wanted McConkey after reviewing the tapes, or Worthy for that matter, that’s who Beane would have gotten for Josh.  After trading Diggs, there would have been a lot of pressure to make Josh happy and take his input.

Double dipping would have been nice, seems like we do it on defense often.  I was thinking Lagette and Franklin but I was higher on Franklin than anyone. He was just such a smooth runner in and out of breaks, reminded me of a taller Desean Jackson.  Franklins biggest negative was he was too thin. Maybe for 90s and early 00s football, today the game is soft.

If they're not looking back for the ball that's technically on then there were two crossers that were NFL open ... And frame by frame there is a point where at least one is looking

 

Literally college open and NFL open are completely different animals the windows are three times smaller 

 

There were two guys running open for NFL standards .. I'd rather see him rip the ball and hit them in the face and teach them a lesson

I assume OP means putting him in motion as a means to get him the ball, not this kinda thing where he's just trying to occupy defenders to open up space for his teammates. 

 

This kind of half-assing when the play isn't designed for you drives me up a wall though.
